The children, on the other hand, were not at all startled by Arwen's hyperness - she was after all elven, and a child. Some of them greeted her, in fact, and smiled and waved to her, while others of them simply stard at her in awe, amazed to see someone like her so visibly and obviously relaxed around (and even excited to see) Donovan, of whom most of them were still wary.

"Hi!" Arwen said brightly to them as Haradhel and Elrohir came out of the ranch house together. "Guess what! You're going to get all cleanedup here and get new clothes and toys and books and paper and food and baths and everyhing here, and then you get to go home again! Isn't that wonderful?"

She giggled impishly, then stepped out of the way so that her parents could take over.

Celebor chuckled softly at Arwen's actions, helping the children down from the back of the cart one by one and reassuring all of them individually. He decided that seeing the kids like this, happy to be somewhere that resembled home (even if not their own) was well worth the exhaustion of the trip itself.

He would just have to keep training, was all.

"You're like clockwork," Donovan murmured softly to Kara, "Though I can't complain, but I do need to move."

He couldn't help but be amused, it was Kara, he was always somewhat amused with her at times.

Lin slipped out of the Ranch house to make her way over to Celebor.

Kara smiled into his back before letting go to help with the children. She liked spending time with them and she liked to help with children. Then again it was Kara she liked children in general.

As Celebor was putting some of the kids on the ground, he looked up and saw Lin heading towards him - surprising, since he would have thought she would go to Donovan first. One the other hand, it made him feel more welcome, more noticed, and that just made him feel better all around.

"Hello, Lin," he said softly as she approached him. "What were you up to while we were gone?"

Elrohir and Haradhel also came over to help Celebor. Haradhel picked up some of the smaller children, while Elrohir led the others along towards the house.

"Arwen," Elrohir called out, "find Aragost and ask him to call Adonai over ... these kids don't look too bad, but I want him to check them out, just to make sure."

Arwen nodded and ran off obediently.

As Kara approached the children, they looked up at her with awe-filled eyes. Of course, none of them had ever seen anyone with wings before, and if they had known Donovan as unusual for a human before, now they knew that he was unlike any human they had ever seen of heard of.

The first boy that had been rescued, alone with his sister, the one who had so bravely questioned Donovan despite his sister's protests, separated himelf from the rest of the group and approached Kara before she reached the rest of them.

"Excuse me, lady," he said as politely as he could manage with his sister tugging on his arm and trying to hush him again, "what are you?"

Lin grinned a sort of wide grin that told anyone that she probably had been up to more than one a person would consider sane. Which unfortunately was normal for the little girl.

"Well...." she murmured, "I learnt how to ride a horse, and I got to climb a mountain and I got to climb a tree, and got to learn about tracks...."

Kara smiled at the two children, she was use to this question by now, since that was the question she always received while here.

"I'm an angel," she told the boy softly.

They were so cute Kara thought to herself, though the poor little girl looked very nervous.

Celebor grinned and patted Lin on the head.

"Good for you," he told her proudly. "I bet you had a lot of fun. Any big adventures? Or just the usual?"

Since with Lin, mountain climbing was ... well ... usual.

The boy blinked at Kara, tugging his sister forward a bit and putting one arm around her protectively - though it was more just to reassure her that they weren't going to be harmed for asking questions than anything else.

"I never heard of one of them before," he told Kara softly, his brown eyes wide and inquisitive. "What's an angel?"

The door to the ranch house opened again, and this time it was Serenity who stood there, holding the open for Elrohir and Haradhel to bring the train of chlidren inside - except for the two who were talking to Kara, of course.

Then she looked over and spotted Celebor. She didn't recognize him at first - it had been a very long time indeed since she had last seen him, and he had grown - but when she did, she broke into a wide grin, though she said nothing for the moment. He seemed to be busy with Lin, and she didn't want to interrupt the two of them. Besides that, the children were the priority at the moment.

"Well... I got to see a dragon track, but then we had to move because it wouldn't be nice to meet up with a dragon," she told him, "And then Serenity scared us for a moment because she was looking like a moor cat."

She took Celebor's hand and tugged on it lightly, "And she's still here."

Now that was quite a question, with the amount of races back home it was a very loaded question indeed.

Kara looked thoughtful in how to answer that question, "Well... all angels have wings, like mine. We're very light in weight and for the most part we can fly. Like you.... we also have magic and can live for a very long time."

Celebor blinked at Lin, and his smile grew even wider.

"Really?" he asked eagerly, his exhaustion dissipating in the link of an eye. "Nako's here?"

Of course, he had his back to the house at the moment, so he was completely unaware of her presence.

"Can you take me to her?" he asked Lin eagerly.

The boy grinned at Kara. "Oh. You're very pretty."

"Roydon," the girl whimpered, tugging on her brother's arm again, "come on, let's go inside with the other kids!"

She tried tugging him towards the house, but she wasn't making much progress - her brother apparently was very interested in talking to Kara.

"Do you live here?" he asked her brightly. "I know you can't be from where the humans are from, because even though Donovan is a human he isn't like the rest of he humans, he's nice and he's taking us home instead of taking us away from our homes."
