Why are pokemon Black and White 2 coming out for the DS? Are they stupid?

Sixth gen can be on a new system, but it's probably advantageous to keep the entire generation on one handheld system. - The DS has sold ten times the amount of the 3DS and is the second best selling console of all time. A 3DS Pokémon games would sell more consoles, but a DS game starts off with a much larger potential audience. - The 3DS is backwards compatible, so early adopters can still play it alongside people who haven't upgraded yet. - Moving it to the 3DS would affect connectivity to B/W or something along those lines. Or a mix of these or something else that I haven't thought of. I'm sure Game Freak and Nintendo have their reasons for keeping it on an older system. This works out for me since I don't have a 3DS, though. biggrin

Heck, I don't even have a DSi anymore, so I'm farther from a 3DS than most people. I support the console choice.
I'm not sure, however about the idea of B/W2.
I'll have to wait around to see what it's like. I saw a 2012 date on the promo poster, though, so it's not too long a wait..
Not like waiting for the next Smash or anything. wink

Once it's released in Japan, we'll know more about it.
