[We're basically going to fastforward everything. This wedding has taken way too long...]
Lina nodded before beginning to give out those goodbyes.

"I fell for the oldest trick in book," Rike answered, "The doppleganger routine. Malen's gone!"
Meanwhile, Malen listened to their strange repitition before looking at their small hands. They looked so innnocent, but if they served under C'age then they surely weren't what they seemed.
Hesitating only once, Malen soon took their hands and let them lead her to the house.

Remus did the same before finding Lina. "There is a car outside that can take us back to the base. We'll get changed and packed there and then we'll be off."

Kaiser moved out of the door, already preparing several spells in his mind, most of which were to attempt a trace of Malen's power.

C'age smiled as he stood in his home, a wine cup filled with a black liquid lying alone in the middle of a tray, "Malen...you have chosen well." he said as he turned, the two children leading her until she was only and armslength away, "Now, to begin the cleansing..."

"Alright, but first I need to speak to Rike." she then turned only to see the redhead moving out the door, "I'm guessing he is busy.." Lina murmured, a twinge of worry in her voice before moving towards the exit with Remus.
"I thought spells were useless here.." Rike said as they moved out the door, "But she went to him anyway!"

"Cleansing?" Malen asked as the children letting her go, her eyes falling on the cup, "What is that for?"

Remus and Lina climbed into the car. It took them to the base which was by this time nearly empty. They arrived at their room a short time later. "We'll need to pack for two days." Remus removed his armor quickly, changing into jeans and a t-shirt.
--
"It's more of a way to trace Malen. Her spell may still have a small connection to her." Kaiser was picking up a very faint trail. "That'll have to work. Come on!" With that he took to the air.

"It is a potion that will cleanse your body of wall the weaknesses you have, letting you embrace the Darkness as your own." C'age replied, lifting the glass, "Drink this and you will finally feel complete." he said, his voice almost slithering around her as he offered her the glass, "Drink."

"I'm not sure we even have that long anymore..." Lina said quietly as she got dressed as well, using her own magic to pack and grabbed the bags soon after, "Let's go."
Rike nodded before following after him on the rooftops. Unlike many vampires, he never acquired wings, but gained much in his powers, "And what can we do when if we find her?"

Malen closed her eyes, trying to weigh her thoughts one more time before...before...
She slowly took the cup and brought it to her lips. Once the cup was empty, she gasped as a sudden shock of cold filled her body, her eyes going black as the cold became nothing but a numb feeling. She closed her eyes as she began to fall backwards.

Remus stopped for just a moment. "Lina, are you alright?"

"You're guess is as good as mine." Kaiser was doing the best he could to follow Malen's trail, but it was very difficult.

C'age caught her easily and laid her upon the lounge chair. He then walked away, "Watch her and once she is ready, tell me." he said, looking at the female child, "As for you, come with me. We have work to do." he and the boy then disappeared.

Lina smiled and turned to him, "Yes, I am fine. It's just that Rike has been acting strangely....nevermind. He may just be making sure Kaiser is far more annoyed than usual." she then began to move out of the room.
A chill ran down his spine as Rike followed, "What the....Malen!" he cried out and moved faster. He felt something snap. He didn't know what it was, but he could even since her anger anymore....

Malen barely heard those words as she slipped further and further into herself, watching oddly as a glowing door appeared infront of her. She opened it and saw herself as a child watching Lina killing her mother and then another time when her father trained her in the art of fire. It was all very strange and even though she watch Lina kill their mother again and again, it wasn't affecting her anymore. Not even the other painful memories could phase her.
It only made her smile.
Nothing can get to me anymore. C'age was right, there's no pain....no fear...

The girl watched as Malen smiled and looked at the empty cup nearby. Master, she is ready...

Remus smiled and followed her back to the car. He felt his pocket to make sure he had the tickets they needed. "And we're finally on our way."

Kaiser looked on in surprise as Rike sped past him. He put on an extra burst of speed so he could catch up again. "I'll give him one thing. When it's serious, he's a devoted father."

Obsidian suddenly stiffened. She wasn't sure why but a chill ran up her spine and her outfit reverted back to her usual attire. She shuddered and looked around, frowning, "Is there a draft?" She asked.
Merlin had a similar reaction, she paused in her flipping through pages to shake it off. She set a message out to the cats of the area, on impulse giviing them a mental image of Malen. It took a moment but then an old male informed her that he'd seen the woman and showed her what she'd seen, Rike! She called.

Malen soon closed the door and watched as the door fading away into nothing. She then opened her eyes, the blackness becoming red once more, "I feel....better than I've felt in centuries." she murmured, turning slightly to look at the little girl, "I must change."

Rike stopped and looked around suddenly lost just as Lina slipped into the car, "No....I think we are too late..."
Rike closed his eyes as he heard the message, hoping dearly that it good news, Yes...

Seth frowned slightly, managing to sit up once more before shaking his head, "No...what's wrong?"
