It's just sad that Math is so utterly useless in a whole ton of cases. You only need it if you're going to be like, an engineer or a physicist, something like that.

I'm stickin' with teachin' about four different subjects. 3nodding

Umm.. you need math for alot of things.. especially trades and things like architecture, sciences, doing your taxes, hell, even cooking uses a sort of math!!

Think he was more along the lines of integrals and diffeferentials, and all the stuff that's after. Statistics is sadly very useful, though. Depends what kind of math you're doing, but yeah, math can be a hassle.

Yar.

Programming is certainly a useful skill to have.

At the moment, I have one class that I *know* will help me in life.

My only problem with programming is how temporary all the knowledge is. All the skills I acquire in any number of languages will invariably be outdated and outmoded in as little as five years, possibly even less, and certainly no more than fifteen years. Such is the inevitability in choosing a tech career, but it's frightening to know that even if I retrain myself every five to ten years, I will eventually fall off the curve and have very little useful information to pass on at that point.

Case in point, when he was part of that world, my father was on the cutting edge of engineering programs, but he is left with little more than tales of how laughably weak computers were back then (Seriously dad, DATA DUMPS? Who DOES THAT anymore?)

Y'wanna know some really useless stuff that I wanna learn? I wanna learn like, Iaijutsu... and maybe some Aikido and Tae Kwon Do. I doubt I'm cut out for Tae Kwon Do, though, because I'm a bit too...big. Aikido wouldn't be a problem, since that's just an elaborated form of Judo (which I wouldn't mind learning either, just to see the differences).

I used to take Tae Knwon Do classes... but I got withdrawn because I had a bit of *too* much anger.

I was in kick-boxing for a bit... but learning it as self defence, not as a sport. It kinda sucked.. and now I'm thinking of joining up into Karate with my boyfriend who's been in it since he was like.. five years old..
As well as he wrestled all through highschool on the team there...

Damn he's sexy... and can overpower me any day

s**t.

The US might pull the draft. Jeez. Good thing I'm in college, 'cuz they typically pull college people last x.x

Used to do Judo. Used to do Wing Chun. Neither lasted long. But I do know how to kill someone with one punch in the plexus after having thrown him 4 feet in the air at 15 km/h and curling my fingers in a way that makes my forearm a big fat needle of utter death.

Now all I need to do is actually get all the prerequisites right, and actually want/need to kill a random person. Ooh, and not have bones as brittle as glass.

Valn, move to Canada! >.> Or... Y'know, go insane for a while, they ain't taking no crazy a** dude in the army.

What? Is the US government reconsidering the draft again? (or rather, did they ever stop?) That kinda ticks me off. Come to think of it, this whole damn war ticks me off. It simply seems like a bad covering up of the fact that the USA seems to be making a push towards neo-imperialism, and Canada is trying to not look like a sissy. Nooooo indeed, now Canada appears more like a GLOBAL PRISON b***h!
This whole thing is looking liek it's just going to go on until there are no more middle-easterners left to slay. It's retarded. They keep shooting at so many different dark-skinned, turban-toting people that I don't know who I'm supposedly supposed to be fearing now!
Heh! I'm surprised that the youth of America have not yet arisen in militant protests! Your rights are being removed, your people are being murdered and all this time your government is telling you to be happy about it? What the hell!?
I for one would love to organize some sort of protest in my area. Unfortunetly I am unable to do so becasue I am completely dependant on parents who don't give a rats a** what happens in the Middle-east so long as the house is still there when they get hoem in the afternoon.
Does anybody even know why people don't like Bush anymore? For the love of God, I can't fathom how so many people can be united in a hate they don't understand! Many kids in my school hate Bush simply because "he is a bad guy, and he is stupid." WTF? What the hell kind of statement is that!? At the very least they could say they hate him because he sounds funny, and his protruding lips and ears make him look like a chimp!

I think I'm just cranky cuz I have a cold....but dammit. Everything's got me pissed right now....

On the bright side, I went ghost hunting! ^_^ YAY! There's an old abandoned ruin of a brick factory down by my buddy's place that all the neighborhood kids swear is haunted. We didn't find much though. It was pretty creepy, we kept thinking we heard something, but we could never actually be sure whether it was us or somehting unnatural. One peice of 'evidence' we did catch though was our photos. In the pics we took there are a few occurances of 'orbs' (probably just dust) and a wall that refused to be photographed.
