Connor listened carefully to Terashi's explanation, sorting the items he was handed as he got them. The Snag machine and hoverboared went in his bag but the SNAG went in his pocket. It seemed like the more frequently used item among the three. Once Ter finished, he turned to take his leave when he was stopped by his stalker's, now coming off as crazy, sister. She wanted him to take care of her little sister, aka, his stalker. To that, Connor was to give her a "Hell no" but she answered for him and was gone in an instant. Giving the Alice a look, he sighed, rubbing his forehead in frustration. He got the feeling if he didn't do this, he'd have the stalker in addition to her crazy sister on his heels. "Alright...Fine! I teach you how to catch pokemon and that's it. No more following me around or anything...And no more sisters!" he thought to add as well. Connor really wasn't looking forward to meeting the last, which he feared to be the worst of the three.

"Sub's office huh? Well I guess that makes sense, but I don't think Sub is in" he pointed out. Then again, that never stopped anyone before... "What the heck, it's worth the look" he agreed.

"It's a long story... She's not to blame or anything, but..."

"Do you need to be doing something soon, Master,"

"No... fine. It's my fault she's been out. I left the team to go be with Rose, who's my ex-fiancee since you're wondering, about two and a half years ago. I left War and the rest of the team in the nearest Day Care since I felt I wouldn't need them for real life things. When Rose... well, we had an argument about half a year ago, and I walked out on her. When I came back to the Day Care, my Houndoom and my Charmeleon were the only ones left. I got a call from a friend this morning who had a message for me from Rose. We met up this afternoon, she apologized, we made up. Nothing fun happened, but that's when she showed me War here, said she'd found her wandering about and recognized her."

Chaos sighed, and this is about where my tour group entered the kitchen. "This is where the food is. Feel free to help yourself... ...is that Warbringer, Chaos?

"That's my name, yes," Warbringer said. "Hello."

"Huh. You know, Lim... I mean, JT sent me after you a couple of times, to tell you what happened to Chaos. Before the jailbreak." I explained.

"Sorry. I moved around a lot. Lots of trainers mistaking me for a wild pokemon... it got annoying kinda quick." Warbringer sighed.

"I guess that's understandable. A wild pokemon who can speak human? You must have been pretty popular out there." I guessed.

"Not just that. I mean, I didn't talk to all of them. Just being a Combusken in the wild was enough to get them going.' Warbringer explained.

"Looks like I got a lot of ~/~ to kick in Johto," Chaos spat.

"Masterrr..." Warbringer moaned.

"Oh dear..." Al wasn't expecting a tale quite like that. "Not to sound rude or anything but why in the world would you part with your friends like that?" He asked as he looked over his shoulder, adding a bit of cream and shredded cheese to the butter in the pan he was cooking in.

"I don't think my little Tweety and I have been apart for a more than a few hours since I caught her. Granted she's always been more of a pet than a battling Pokemon but even so....." This wasn't him criticizing, merely stating an opinion. "While I don't understand your logic at the moment, I can say I know that not everyone can spend the time with their Pokemon that I've always been able to so a Daycare might have been your best option."

Regardless of the reasoning behind it, Al would keep further opinions to himself.

"If you had a woman with a body like that begging you to live with her, you'd think anything was a good idea at the time. But hey, that's the stuff regrets are made of," Chaos said with a smirk and a shrug. "So you can imagine why I'm in such a good mood right now."

"I can't really blame you. Though I do wonder what happened to Warbringer. The reason why she was gone, I mean." I thought out loud.

"I don't want to talk about it," Warbringer pouted.

"Eh, you can tell me the story later. How's the food coming?" Chaos asked.

"The noodles are cooking..." Keiko said quietly, causing one of my eyebrows to shoot upward.

Krystal had been silent, amazed that there was a Pokemon that could speak human. That and she didn't have anything to say at the moment.
Alice was pretty much the same in that aspect at the moment, simply looking around.

It was then that Freya walked in the room, hand in hand with a certain silver haired teenage guy.

Connor was somehow dragged into the tour that he didn't plan on attending. He'd find his own way around, one way or another. Looking at Alice, he wondered if she was thinking about what he said as she didn't answer him yet. 'It's a simple yes or no answer. Just answer it!' he thought to himself, a little annoyed. Glancing around the kitchen, he didn't take much care in what was being cooked. Upon seeing the Combusken, Connor got wide eyed and stared at it with awe. Not only was it a fighting type but it talked! "How...how can it speak?" he asked aloud, though he meant to say it to himself.

Entering the kitchen with Freya, he could have sworn they were going to Sub's office. The instant he smelled food though, he didn't really care anymore. It seemed there was another new face along with everyone else. "Who's cooking and what?" Dan had to ask.

Al shrugged at Chaos' response. "I'm not one to place much stock in appearances." He admitted with a small sigh. "I like a woman for her personality and her mind. Her looks are little more than the packaging for the person." How was it that this man had him admitting opinions he often kept to himself?

At the sound of Keiko's whispering, he looked to her again and stopped his cooking for a moment. "Are you alright, Miss Keiko? You sound like you're feeling unwell." He stepped over and lightly pressed a hand to her forehead, as if to check her temperature.

When Dan and Freya entered, he glanced back, sounding a bit worried when he spoke. "Miss Keiko and I are making homemade Pamtre Alfredo." He told him before turning back to the young woman who had him concerned now. He'd turned down the temperature on the stove for a moment so the sauce wouldn't burn while he checked on her.

"So, you're one of those," Chaos laughed. "Then she's probably your type, though you seem to have your own."

"That's my sister you're talking about," I glared at Chaos, crossing my arms.

"Master let me eat a Rainbow Pokeblock when we first met," War explained. "And Mr. ...I don't think I got your name, sir." War added at Al's direction.

"I... I'm fine," Keiko lied, although the lack of sudden movements from Chaos has been instrumental in calming her down.

Al blushed at Chaos' remarks. "I don't think we have that kind of relationship." He responded as he moved his hand from the girl's forehead. She felt fine, physically but he was still worried. She didn't seem her usual self at the moment. "Not that I'd be opposed to such a thing, were it to develop." This was said as he looked at the young woman, offering her a small smile before he turned back to the food. He grabbed a knife and minced up a clove of garlic rather quickly, adding it to the sauce he was preparing as well. As this simmered, he turned his knife to a large amount of parsley and began to cut the herbs into the smallest bits he could manage.

When Warbringer spoke of his name, he stopped and set the knife aside. "My apologies." He turned and bowed to the Combusken, a hand in front of his stomach. "My name is Aluette Renarde, though I prefer Al if one must use my first name." He introduced himself. "And you are...Warbringer, correct?" He questioned of the fire-type, not concerned in the slightest with her ability to speak human. His family had long held rumors of his great grandfather's Deino partner being capable of the same feat, so it was not an unusual concept for him.

Chaos sniggered. "Who slapped you with the 'shitty name' stick as a kid? Not that I can say anything. My name sucked so bad that I killed myself, only to be reborn as the badass that I am today."

Warbringer joined me in glaring at him that time. "...anyway, Mr. Al is cooking Pamtre Alfredo," War answered Dan.

Connor kept his eyes trained on the Combusken, mainly because he'd never seen one before. Both a fire type and a fighting type, his favorite types and also the evolved form of Torchic. The talking bit was just a bonus, something it got from a Rainbow Block, whatever that was. He wondered how long it would be before his Torchic evolved.

"Oh...never heard of it. But it sounds and smells good" Dan complimented. At the mention of a Rainbow Block, the teen remembered he still had that one from way back. There was the slight issue of who to give it to and he still didn't know.

Al sighed at Chaos' comment about his name. "Truth be told, my mother wanted a daughter and named be as such when I was born. Father wanted none of it but when your baby's mother has the temper of a Primeape at it's worst and the strength of an adolescent Tyranitar, you don't argue." He admitted with a bit of a laugh at the remainder of his comments about his own name. "So I take it you chose a new name for yourself?" He asked, assuming that must be what the man was referring to.

To Dan, he smiled. "It's actually quite good. My mother taught me to make it when I was a teenager." He told the boy as he added the parsley he'd just cut into the sauce, stirring it for the umpteenth time. Once that was done, he turned it down to simmer while he prepared the berries. "The key is to use only the purple parts of the berries. They're the sweetest parts and that's what really gives it the flavor." He explained as he cut off the smaller tip of the berry and the larger brown end, coring out the seeds before he cut the remainder into moderately thin slices. Setting the slices of the first berry aside, he picked up the brown end and bit into it, letting out a small "Mmmmm" as he did. The driest parts of the berry was his personal favorite but they weren't good for making this dish.

"Uh... yeah. That's what I said." Chaos said, the slightest hint of agitation in his voice.

"Do you need any more help cooking?" I asked. Connor seemed disinterested in a tour, and alice had two sisters that could help her out.
PostPosted: Tue Aug 07, 2012 6:11 pm

Al laughed lightly at Chaos' agitation. "My apologies, friend. I didn't mean to state the obvious. Simply me trying to ascertain if I'd heard correctly." He admitted as he finished cutting the berries he'd need for the food. He'd decided to pull a few extra ones down since he had more people than originally planned for now showing interest in his food.

"Actually, I'm almost done, thanks to Miss Keiko starting the noodles for me. They should be just about done." He told Terashi as he pulled a colander from another cabinet and set it in the sink. After checking the noodles to make sure they were tender enough, he poured them into the colander and drained away the water, returning them to the pot afterwards. It took a moment of looking but he found the plates afterwards and began to set out the dishes.

Spooning noodles onto the plates, he set a few slices of berry on top before drizzling a light coat of alfredo sauce across the dish, enough for a mouthful of flavor in every bite. Speaking of, the dish would taste of a smooth, slightly sweet, buttery garlic flavor.

"Huh. Nevermind, then," I said with a shrug before handing the plates that Al made to everyone that was interested in eating.

Chaos and War were finished earlier than anyone else. With War, I could understand, given the explanation Chaos gave. Chaos, however... was just a slob. There was no other logical explanation.
