"Oh... of course. Your not a captive here. We've got nicer stuff besides bread and water." He said, waving a hand about as he started walking towards the door.

"Anything you'd like in particular?"

Without warning, there was movement; the steady slow rocking of the hull as the waters were being parted, steered by the rudder (and my personal knowledge of ships ends there).

There had been no clear cut indication, nor some kind of warning-- just that sudden feeling of motion, and they were off.

The vessel was leaving port... leaving the only point of civilization to go to a place many feared to go. Was this not what adventure was all about? The thrill of the unknown, the allure of fabled treasure, the-- you get the picture.

"They be all stowed away now, eh Jones?" Came the gruff mannered voice, the same as was this morning.

"Aye, Cap'n. All of 'em, just like you said." Came the hurried reply, as if the owner would have been rebuked by taking any longer.

"Good, good... set course North by North-west now. We'll want to get there not too late now." The Captain said, a toothy smile showing, as well as the yellow of his teeth.

The crew was sparse if anything... and none of them acted as non the wiser to the group of stowaways...

"Be a wee bit mad now... won't it... Zanken." Hoarse laughter billowed out, as the vessel was soon out at sea and but a mere speck to any on the harbor.

"Hah... just the thing for you then." Tekaru said with a grin, as he exited the room, and softly closed it behind him, before leaning against it with a sigh.

"So what do you think?" Mitsuyo asked, as she came walking down the hall.

"Eh?" Tekaru turned his head to the side, surprised to see Mitsuyo still here. "I thought you left?"

"I needed to pick up some things first."

"Ah, I see." He pondered for a moment before gettig up off the door. "She seems nice enough. I don't think she'll give us much trouble. Vahn will come back... and everything will be alright." Tekaru said firmly, as he stretched out.

"So... you think he can't be dead either?"

"Of course not. I'm with you all the way on this one... he's... He's made out of tougher stuff."

"Yea.... Well look, I'm going to head out now. I need to find that guy... bring him back."

"I know... I'm worried though. We still haven't had a response from home yet... "

"I'm sure the council at Guldor is doing their best to get out a quick reply. The sea's have been dangerous as well as the skies... so getting word out is a lot harder than it should be these days."

"I guess..."

"Don't keep her waiting." Mitsuyo said idly, as she began walking down the rest of the hall.

"Oh-- right!" Tekaru, watched Mitsuyo leave.. before scratching at the bridge of his nose and wandering off to the kitchen.

Moments later, he'd return with a covered plate, whistling along and entering back into the room...

*As soon as Tekaru was through the door and had closed it behind him, Sierra started about her task with quick efficiency... dizzyingly quick, but efficient none the less.

She regretted having to trick the young Kyonuske, she really didn't want to cause trouble for her lover's clan members... But she felt her bonds to him pulling on her urgently. She needed to get out of here and they from what she surmised, weren't going to allow that.

Forcing her hands to stop trembling by sheer will alone, she manages to get herself free of all the confoundant Iv's and sensors.

Glancing down at herself with a sigh, she shakes her head. Walking around the streets of latent wouldn't do... She could cast a glamour spell, that would cloak her body with illusion... or hide her altogether... but she was going to need what little strength she had just to escape the room.

Glancing around she was relieved to find an unornamented dressing robe made of plush black fabrics.

Tying it about herself tightly she called her magics to her quickly, a spell of translocation... not far... just out of sight of the Kyonuske house.

As her spell circle flared to life beneath her feet, she vanished in a shimmer of crimson light just as the door to the room started to open.*

------------------

*Materializing in an alley between two shops down in the merchant's quarter she heaves a sigh and staggers against a wall, trying to steady herself.

The spell left her feeling dizzy and her stomach churned unpleasantly as she whispered softly to herself, breathing in the salty sea air.*

"Just a minute and the fresh air will clear my head... Nothing to worry about. Well except my lack of clothes perhaps. I guess I had best find a store that doesn't mind trading for magic."

"You look like you're still hungry... would you like to get something else to eat?" There were numerous places that the two could go to get a decent meal and Alex wasn't looking for anything in particular. "We could go anywhere in town that you want." As the girl watched Daemon, he never seemed to move except for a slight move of the head, a click of the beak, or a blink

'Tita' nodded slowly, not sure whether to trust the woman or not. Slowly she stood, but still kept her distance from the bird, only what seemed to be a small prayer drifting to Alex's ears. "Father, forgive me..." Though it wasn't in common, but for some reason Alex would be able to understand it completely.

Henry seriously gave a small salut back in acknowledgement before sweeping off, out of the shop, and towards one of the gates that led out of the city and towards the Dead Forest. He kept the pace pretty steady, something that would find a happy medium of comfort for all the members of this little party.
Somewhere along the way, the others may notice that he actually had managed to aquire a pack of his own. It seemed pretty large, a square that took up a good portion of his back. The contents of which were just as much a mystery as the man himself. His voice carried to Tomorrow as they walked.
"If you have questions, Mr. Tomorrow, feel free to ask at any time, and I'll answer as best I can. Bear in mind that I may gloss over a few things, however..."

"I figured as much..." The large Tribal replied, pulling Juuni off his shoulders and placing her gently on the ground before walking after the man, looking behind him every now and then to make sure they were keeping up.

"...But if this is on a need-to-know basis, then tell me what i need to know."

Alexiel stood as well, looking down at Tita curiosly. "Is there something about my bird that bothers you? He doesn't have to be around if you don't want him around."

Tita straightened up and a deep flush could be seen on her cheeks as she looked at the other woman. "I...ermmm..." She reached for the woman's arm, the faint scent of jasmine and poppy becoming almost overwhelming for a moment before she began to speak in that odd language again. "Those birds are oftentimes my father's way to view the world from his cloister" Deciding to trust the woman, hoping that trust wouldn't be betrayed.

Alexiel thought for a moment. Ravens, father, cloister... She was knowledgable in the mythology of various cultures, Norse being one of them. The girl's statement reminded her of something but no, it couldn't be. Alex quickly dismissed the thought. "I see... well, I could send him away if you like?"

~Sometime earlier then the occurance at the jail...

Shadows were deepening within one of the higher offices located in Latent. It was late afternoon, and the sun hadn't made it's way down enough for the other set of windows to pick them up, giving the whole quarters an evening feel.

A lone figure seemed to be sifting through the paperwork upon a large desk, making no sound, just doing what had to be done for the day.

Suddenly the shadows seemed to merge, strangely enough some of these seemed to actually be across the room, and actually jumped to the now occupied space in the corner. The smell of licorice and spices suddenly filled an otherwise stale and static air, and a pair of dark blue eyes settled on the man behind the desk.

"Greetings from the other side, my lord Victor. I trust in good faith that you've been keeping well?" There may have been sarchasm in that voice...but you had to be really paranoid to hear it, otherwise it seemed like a generally friendly and overall good natured voice, one easily forgotten if not heard for more then a few seconds.

"I've come for news of the front lines, as well as listening to any demands, should you need my skills...though I assure you, I'll have my price for those at the end..." The darkness shifted and solidified to a normal-ish looking man standing in front of the desk. "But I don't expect it will be anything out of your power to grant." The smile was friendly and warming, there was no falsehood behind this mans strangely deep eyes.

"You really should learn to knock." Came the reply, as the figure paused only momentarily, before simply giving up on the paperwork in front of him. Placing the elaborate pen down, he lifted his head, yellowed eyes staring at his guest.

Victor. A pretty common name, bearing no special meaning let alone steeped in any history. Any known history. Pushing up the spectacled frames that adorned his face, before deciding he was better off without them, he placed the glasses atop the desk as well.

"Your visits have been fewer and fewer in between. Not running into any trouble, I hope?" He had long ago stopped being intimidated by anyone who seemed to hold higher positions above himself-- he had learned first hand that anyone can get to the top, but it was just as easily toppled in the end. He had no need to take the spotlight for himself... not yet.

"At any rate... The business at the Stadium was done. Just like you said it would be."

*A few moments later and the elf maiden's head was clear, thanks to the fresh sea air. She no longer felt as if the world was going to leap from beneath her feet at any given moment.

She ran a hand through her hair, surprised at what good condition it was in, and aside from being slightly windblown, it was well brushed too. She owed someone a great deal of thanks, for tending suck long hair could be well... monotenous to say the least.

In doing so though, she discovered that, while her necklaces and bracelets had been removed for the medical equipment, her ears had been left adorned. So, she did have some fine elven gold to trade with, should magics be declined. And elven finery was worth a pretty penny anywhere you went.

Glancing down at the dressing gown she sighs, It wouldn't do any good to have people gawking at her state of undress.

She would expend a small amount of energy, casting an illusion on the cloth and only the cloth. When people looked at her, they would see an elven maid in a black, medieval gown with full skirts... not a dressing robe. It would serve her purposes well and it wouldn't tire her out.

Casting the glamour spell quickly, she sets out to find a seamstress' or in any road, a dress shop. Glancing around she notes the signs above the two buildings she was between. A carpenter's workshop and what seemed to be a hardware store.

She heads eastward, making her way through streets thronged with people, until she finds herself in a more sophisticated area of town. Her slightly slanted eyes, and sharp elven gaze picking out her desired destination.*

There was a wry chuckle. He moved in his weird fashion to the chair in front of the desk and sprawled in it

"Did I say that? My mind must be getting old..." Henry scratched idley at the side of his nose, seemingly in deep thought. "There hasn't been any trouble that I know of, Victor, had there been, you would have seen much more of me. As I said to your dying father, no news is good news..." The grin turned even more sardonic and he chuckled.

The sudden change was remarkable as his position shifted and he moved closer to the desk. Henry became very serious at an alarming rate.

"I was thinking there'd be no survivors...and that you'd happily anhilate all your brothers known forces. I want to know...how Vahn accomplished that feat to get everyone out....it was really quite remarkable..." The grin returned and the dark blue eyes danced as they met Victors. Henry loved surprises. "Don't you agree?"

"You'll forgive me if I don't relish in the thought of being given advice you gave my father. The man was an idiot. The only thing he did right was in siring me and my brother." He leaned back in the chair, and quite a opulate chair it was. Comfy too.

However, not quite comfortable as he would have liked it, when his guest leaned in.

"I'm not as bloodthirsty as my father was." His knuckles nearly whitened as he gripped a sheath of papers tightly, at the mention of his brother, but his face betrayed no emotions to suggest the repulsion that echoed through his body. "You'll forgive me if I'm not well educated on what exactly took place after I left. I had business to wrap up in Guldor." Yellowed eyes met with his guest, unwavering.

"Are you thirsty? A drink maybe?"
