 Haveo snorted to himself and turned to Wokovu. "Let's not let whatever it is ruin our meal." He turned back to the kill continuing to fill his stomach.

The young lion smirked slightly at the comment before turning to Pride Rock, looking at the huge natural structure in awe before his attention turned to his foster mother, this would be good bye, even for a short time.
His ears flattened against his head before he stalked of to her side and nuzzled into her, looking her in the eye before he licked her cheek in a sort of kiss.
"Bye mom..." He said softly before looking over at Jasiri and Mwali with a smile and then turning back to his mother. "I'll see ya when I see ya...and say good bye to my sister for me..."
As he finished he gave her one last nuzzle before slowly stalking of beside the red lion and the beautiful adolescent female.

A golden pelted juvenile padded through the parched savvanah grass. Her name was Maawio. She smiled to herself slightly as she leapt upon a nearby rock adn surveyed the area. She could see several other creatures around. Flexing her paws absent mindedly she made a mental note to avoid the other creatures. She was nervous and wasnt really a social type, unless she was forced, which, with her mother around, could be likely. She sighed again and licked her paws, wishing the moisture would seep deep into her fur and cool her.

-A heavy sigh escaped the king as he gazed across the savannah. He was supposed to protect his pride and yet.. the plague had ripped through so quickly, without mercy, taking the old.. the young. Even he, once a sight of glory looked rather dreary, his coat having lost some of it's sheen with trials of the times. Flexing his paws tiredly he let another helpless sigh shake through his large form before he continued on again.
There was no use living in the past when what his pride needed right now was a new beginning. To help what had lived, flourish and grow better, protected beneath him. Collecting himself, raising his pace, and the frown from his muzzle he made his way away from the Pride Rocks, taking tally and making a map in his head of what had survived and what could still be saved.-

Maawios anxious sapphire eyes paused upon the king. Once a regal sight, the pridelands had suffered when the plague had hit, wiping away many lives. Maawios eyes were once again downcast as she surveyed the savannah in her second state of mind. Trees were dying, areas of water were becoming scarce, though her favourite stream was still full of the crystal liquid. The heat beat down upon her as she plucked up her courage and padded roughly towards the king, her paws stumbling on the dry turf occasionally. Her eyes met the huge creature, and she felt as if she had underestimated his size. She gulped and bowed her muzzle a little. "Sir, are you okay?" She wondered if the King had evaluated the loss of the Pridelands yet. Pausing in thought slightly she looked back over her shoulder. She wondered about those she had never spoken to. Perhaps they were great creatures, but she was too foolish to ever learn it.

-The sound of a voice quickly turned his head in surprise, but a soft enough smile rested upon his muzzle as he realized it was but one of the young females. And better yet, one that seemed well enough. Nodding a little softly, giving his mane a bit of a ruffle as he did, he spoke softly.- "Fine enough my dear. Are you, alright?"
-These days visits usually meant that something was wrong, or needed to be dealt with. But he looked slightly hopeful reguardless.-

" I was just wondering...I mean, the pride lands was struck too." She looked down to the turf. "But im fine, I was kept inside by my mother." She nodded, but her eyes had a vacant look as she said "mother" Her mother still wanted her to socialize with the prince. She sighed. It would take her a while to stand up to her mother, but she needed to to get her own life back.

"A good thing she did. We've suffered alot.. but not so much as we could have." -Another soft smile touched him before he added with a hint of pride.- "We really do have a very capable pride, I'm sure we'll get through everything as best as we can. Good things can arise from tragedies after all."
-Glancing away from her again, out across the savvanah he spied a small herd of grazers in the distance, barely visable, but regaurdless, a sign of lush life amongst the withered background.
Turning back to Mawwios he motioned lightly, offering gently.- "I was just taking a walk about to check things out. If you don't have other things you'd rather do.. other young ones to visit, or your mother waiting, you're welcome to join me." -His tail swished softly as he awaited her answer, happy at the thought of moving again, and not simply dwelling on what didn't need to be dwelled upon.-
