uuggg...we have concert next tues. and contest next fri. ...and we still have to learn another peice!!shouldnt be too hard...lol,and there's only 2 flute players...and my mom is goin...yuck!! domokun

Yay, we finally got disney music. We get March to the Scaffold again. Funny how we're playing that at the happiest place on earth. . . The others are America the Beautiful, the evil devil song, The Thunderer, and Prarie song. I have got to try out for the solo on that song. We played it in 8th grade and I got the solo. I hope I can beat first flute for it.
Hmm, The Thunderer makes me recall the concert where the symphonic flutes pulled out signs that said "Death" "to" "John" "Phillip" "Sousa" and hung them up on their stands. I really wish we could watch their concerts.

Wow... everyone's offline when I'm on.
Er... been having trouble with practicing lately... as in, not doing it at all. I don't like playing at home for some reason and mom scolds me on how I'll never get better if I don't practice. gonk
Tryouts for next year's classes are this Friday!

Hey, people! I am new to this guild and i play flute!! wow, what a coincidence it is to be here... stare yeah... anyway, I am going to be 1st chair next year for our band... i would have been second this year, but I came in late cause i moved... it was total funness, though. ^_^
Our band has a concert coming up next Tuesday. It is going to kick butt!! ^_^. we're like a really great band (symphonic winds) in North Louisiana.... yay!! Im originally from the north from a suckier (just a word) band, but it was okay... the high school that im at now doesn't have an orchestra, and im really sad. i used to play with the orchestra at my old school for Christmas and i was usually the only flute ^_^.I was in the Jazz Band,too with my flute, but the one down here says that i have to switch to saxophone which isn't too hard, but i'd rather play flute.
ahhh... got that out fast... ^_^ sorry for the extremely long paragraph... xp

We have concerts with the whole school.
There's a band above us, and one below us, so I guess no one expects much of us. gonk

ahhh... got that out fast... ^_^ sorry for the extremely long paragraph... xp Yeah, you have to switch to the sax if you're a flute player and wanna be in Jazz band here too. Some reason we still have the four flutes in and the school year is almost over. I don't think they're gonna allow it next year though, and they're definitely not going to allow it in the symphonic band. They never have and won't start now.

Oh, oh! *waves* I'm a flutist! I've been one for about...four years now. I'm all proud, though, because I was so close to making all-state this year. And for those of you who don't live in Rhode Island and don't know what All-state is, it's basically a gathering of the best musicians in the state. ^^ Well, I auditioned and found out that I was one spot away. Of course, the competition on flute is really, really tight and they don't accept many. I made it on violin, though! ^_^

im getting a new flute next week!! yay!!! gemeinhardt open-hole (french style) solid silver. gold lip plate, b foot, silver plated keys, white gold springs... ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ im so happy!!! im going to be 1st flute next year too!! yay!! (seniors all the way!!!) i do wish i had a piccolo though... xd
