Kidd's eye's fluttered open, and she bolted up strait in her bed. she'd fallen asleep. Damn, for how long? and where was Darius? why'd he leave so suddenly? she jumped out of her bed at the sound of a sudden bang. there was a fight going on out side. "s**t!!" she grabbed her long sweater and pulled her icy dreads back in a messy pony tail. " i may not be a hundred percent, but i want to help!" she dashed out of her room and slid open the hall window. it was chaos. Mutant on mutant. she looked around, not Darius, but there was a familiar face in trouble, Zion. she looked at her hands. "got to try..." she jumped out of the window and made an ice bridge. "yes!" she slid on it and slid right next to Zion who was in a sticky situation. as she was sliding closer and closer to her she held out one of her hands. "ZION!"

The ride through the countryside was the worst part of their entire trip. All the while as they rode in the back of the cab, the driver cast accusatory glances at the girls as they sat in near silence during their ride. It had been a long flight. 8 hours long. Five layovers in five cities. Olivia was doing alright, but she was somewhat concerned for her twin sister.

"Holding up, Lana?," Olivia asked, genuine sincerity lay heavy in her voice.

"As well as I can, Liv."

The two girls were nearly identical, the exception was that Alana had long, curly hair and emerald eyes. Olivia had near perfectly straight hair and sapphire eyes. Of course, Alana was not as forthright or as Olivia, but that was a product of their mutual separation. That, and their mutant-hating father.

Again, the driver cast a nasty glance at the twins as he hit the brakes relatively hard. The girls were jarred slightly, and Olivia brushed a loose strand of hair from her face.

"That was for what?," she asked sternly.

"You're here. Now get out. I don't care about the fare, just get out."

"Hmph. C'mon, Alana." Olivia, wanting to play to the driver's fear, used her TK to push the backdoor open and levitated herself and her sister from the cab. With a flick of her wrist, she popped the trunk open and retrieved their luggage telekinetically. Once the luggage was not even six inches from the cab's trunk, the driver sped off instantly, leaving the girls standing roughly five hundred feet from the Institute's gates. The gates which were sitting ajar, and slightly off of it's hinges.

"This....doesn't look good. Do you think they know that we're coming today?" Olivia asked that and looked to Alana, a twinge of worry was in her eyes. For as normally confident as she was, she felt at unease with what she saw.

Just went he thought the girl, Mori, was going to completely flip out on him again, Valerie, of all people, came to his rescue. The tall blond strolled coolly out of the X-Mansion, having probably just drowned a random X-geek when she happened to spot Lance and his current situation. He groaned inwardly. At this very moment in time, he would rather been strangled to death then live on knowing that Valerie, of all people had come to help him rescue him. That was it, his reputation was gone, and he would never live it down.

As Valerie neared him, giggling and smirking all the while, she transferred from water from her own body into the air, making it swirl in great torrents above her, before trusting her arms forward and sending it straight in Mori's direction. As the water swirled in a sort of shell around her, Mori drew together the last of her strength in the form of a large root that lifted her up from the ground and away from the water.

This was his moment. Now that Mori was distracted by the miniature hurricane the surrounded her, her concentration faltered on the roots encasing him. They loosened just enough for him to pull thorough and free himself with some difficultly. He carefully took several steps backwards, way from the X-girl who was currently busy dealing with her own problems to notice anything. He shot Valerie a look as she continued to freak Mori out with her water. He supposed a simple thanks was in order, but he'd save it for another day when his ego didn't hurt so much.

Mori watched her but at the same time she noticed that Avalance had gotten away and she lost it completly, her eyes burned with fire and she feelt how her strenght came back to her.

"You little... you just made my day by pissing me off..." She knew that she was out on dangourus grounds, becuse by lossing controll of her temper she could easily loos controll of her power and if that happend....

"Do you really think I need to use powers to woop you're a**?" She jumped down from her rot and since the girl was so foolish as to stand so close, Mori didnt have to put much effor into hitting her, she did however put strenght in the punch. The idea was to punch the girl squar in the face, maybe that would knock some seens into the girl...

"I warned you, I said you would get a black eye if you didnt back down..."

{Watch it. That's godmoding.}

"You're a resiliant little thing aren't ya?" He asked getting up after she knocked him in the head and scooted away from him. Rubbing his head he cocked an eyebrow at her. "I was teasin' ya there sweetcheeks. I'm not into a girl that sends birds to peck my wings away so don't worry about me trying to flirt with you...unless you want me to." He gave her a lopsided grin and wiggled his eyebrows in a mock suggestive way. His expression was that of just messing with her as laughter still danced in his eyes. "Now, have ya had enough or do ya want more, Jillann?"

Damnit it didn't work, son of a b***h. He's stronger then I thought. Ok..just relax, so you're sinking into a nightmare world...can't be that bad can it..just don't panic. Zion thought to herself but already her brow was furrowed and her eyes started to widen as she struggled to get free. It was when he grabbed her ankles that she lost it. "Let me go!!!!" She yelled as she tried to kick away his hands then she heard a familiar voice from above her. When she looked up she saw Kidd on an icey bridge with her hand extended to help her. "Just give me a second Kidd.." She called up then looked down at Carlos. She was already half way into this portal of his and sinking fast if she didn't act now she'd be stuck. Suddenly her skin grew hot and knowing Carlos was now solid, well atleast his hands were, she focused her power down to where he was holding onto her and within moments black flames would engulf her feet and ankles. The fire didn't burn her for some reason but anything else it would. I hope this works...

Conner watched the action at the institute from the nearest, tallest building he could find. The view through the telescope he had bought for the task was squashed but clear. he had already registered several mutants and the division was about as clear as mud. He sighed as he thought through his next move.

"Go join in and get all kinds've hell directed my way." he said to himself "Or sit back and wait for it to end." tough choice he thought.

Conner packed the telescope up and placed it in a metal crate he had placed up on the parapet and took out a thermos filled with soup. He held it in his hands to warm them up then unscrewed the top, watching several flashes of light coming from the institute grounds.
