Edith apparently caught sight of him flailing around trying to get the bugs out of his shirt. He had stopped paying attention to the actual battle and almost took off the head of some other trainee. Great. Stopping, he gritted his teeth as he could feel the stinging starting to subside. His cheeks were still flushed red as he swung at another one of the spider leg's. This time he as prepared for the onslaught of insects inflicting more pain on him. Gritting his teeth he ignored it, as they managed to crawl even more underneath the shirt and coat. There was also the thought of ignoring that his suit was completely in shambles at this point. All he could hope was Tori was ok somewhere he had yet to see her. His vision had finally cleared enough to see properly - and what he saw was that Stormy was even paler than he was, leaning heavily to one side. A sickening feeling swooped low in Gale's stomach, and he dropped beside her, one hand on her shoulder.
"Hey - hey - just - just relax, all right? I'll protect you," he said, and swallowed back the nausea and the fear and the guilt for not noticing she was growing weaker, for letting his own concerns selfishly prevent him from keeping her safe.
He turned around, twisting the rifle again, directing the barrel up to the monster's "head." "Just think," Gale said to her. "When all of this is said and done, you and I will go and have some fish and chips and you'll show me some good calamari - " Bang. " - we'll watch Disney movies, and you'll quote them all to me, and tell me your favorite parts and your favorite characters - " Bang " - and then we'll just sit there and talk and cuddle because you owe me some."

Several spiders were suddenly swept off the blond moon hunter, a teal scarf being used partially as a sort of wipe or glove.
"You should really consider yourself." A concerned voice, as Saya's glyph opened up to surround the moon hunter. But he wasn't dead and that was what counted-- even if Ryan was pretty close, with the poison coursing through him.

Ryan could see clearly. It was like the murky water that had been obscuring his vision had been lifted, along with the pain it caused him. He had Saya to thank for that. She even wiped some of those damned spiders off of him.
"Thanks Saya, I'll try to remember that." He assured.
He was about to jump back into the fray, when he just about hit Caelius instead. Of course it was Caelius. It was always freaking Caelius and of course.
Ryan caught the insane gleam in his eyes just fast enough to know what was going to happen next. Which was him sent sprawling.
He really did not like Caelius.

"Yeah?" She gave a shaky laugh and them immediately wished she hadn't as her stomach flipped over. "D-D'you think there are runic versions back at Deus? That'd be nice . . ."
Stormy then was quickly introduced to the fact that it was very hard to get the runic bandages on with trembling sweaty hands and a merciless mob of insects still chewing at her. Awkwardly flailing her feet and the sword with one hand (not a great tactic given her training experience), she managed to fend some off but was still looking a little pale.
"One problem, though. I don't have favorites when it's Disney," she told him, sucking in a breath. "But cuddling . . .yeah . . . I owe you a lot of those don't I." She was trying very hard not to lose herself in her own vivid imagination, which would very well get her killed with the poison dulling her senses.
