Sir Kyle Aziz rolled 1 6-sided dice:
6
Total: 6 (1-6)

Lt. Brookman Sir Kyle Aziz Action Plan: Sit tight first turn behind the Aegis with the Tauros's to give the enemy something to shoot at. Try to line of sight my HQ and my LRGS. Come turn 2, play Ride of Valkyries 'cause it scares the hell out of 'em and Charlie don't surf etc. etc. The Kasrkin will be riding in a Detta and parachuting out near a juicy target. However they will start on the board if I'm up against a strong long range shooting army and I'm worried about being tabled turn 1. Also come turn 2, I burn out with the Tauros squad from behind the Aegis because most people who buy the Aegis play very defensively with units behind it. It's really only there for that lovely 3+ cover it'll give my Tauros squad and the reroll reserves from the Coms. I'd say the rest of the list essentially shows exactly what I plan to stick where and what to do with it. Plenty of AP2 in the list and with 10 large blast templates I'll make a horde army weep. Good strong list, good solid plan, works a whole lot better than my ragtag excuse for a list. wink Minor quibble, personally not sure about the vox casters, seeing as all squads with access to one are either in a bird about to be deposited in the thick of it, or safely hunkered down at your line of defence, holding it. Also, the scanner, interesting choice, care to extrapolate? Other than that, good strong anti-horde capabilities here. Not so much on the AT, but AV 14 isn't as prevalent (hopefully), so your current assortment of dakka should do the trick nice and neatly. edit. Ignore the AT remark, two Vendettas, you rick kid you! Well, the LRGS will go into short range mode to give any unit that has a vox twinlinked on a 4+. So, essentially if I want a thing dead I first rank, second rank and use the scanner. That and its essentially a "bring it down" order but for anything I'm shooting at. Atleast that's my goal with it. Yes, two vendettas. 7 flyers total this list lol. I just need my last valkyrie hull for Christmas and I'll have all the flyers. This is what happens when you work like 100 hrs a week. @_@ Also the forge world rules are found in their corresponding imperial armour books. Da meta. Edit: see a 6! This means a unit is now twin linked this shooting phase. wink

I take it that the scanner is open to all regiments?

Thank you. As far as I know its only for elysians. However I am not sure if you can take it and use it with regular guard.

I have a longe range scanner model, but I'm using it as a beacon now for my forward observer snipers.

Lady Blodwynn I like this plan, I may have to incorporate it into my own Guard army at some point. I take it that the scanner is open to all regiments? Elysian only, unless you plan on using the old rules found in Anphelion Project, where it is more expensive, but uses the same rules.

We're just planning to increase the points because none of the army lists contain fortifications.

We all do, the core of it hasn't changed since the 3rd edition. wink Speaking of fortifications, what did you have in mind? Your army is awfully mobile (not in a bad way either!) so hunkering down behind an Aegis line or occupying a Bastion seems a bit wasted on them. I am surprised though, no Stormravens? surprised

Vikki Stardust Is 1850 the new norm for armies these days? I thought it was 1500-1750? question 1850 points is more or less the official norm in the Americas, though some tournaments ramp it up even further by going to 2000 points per match, because bigger is better. wink
