Only then did Nik come back to the surface, pushing his hair out of his eyes as he watched them. That had to be his record on holding his breath, and he knew Moya wasn't complaining now. Shilo wasn't complaining about anything at this point, she was probably dreaming. "Well that was different," he said softly as he came back to shore, simply laying on the ground.

Moya chuckled softly and sat down next to him with Shilo against her chest. "Yes it was." She rubbed Shilo's head softly and looked down at Nik. "We should get home so she can sleep in her bed. Playing in the water sure did make her tired."

He grinned up at her with that, nodding and changing from his swim trunks to his jeans first. "That was the idea, love. That was the idea. Let's go." Leading her back to the house he hummed softly to himself, not stopping now until they were in the house and the door was locked. "Alright, go ahead and put her down."

Moya went up to Shilo's bedroom and got her out of her swimming suit, also changing her dipper before putting her to bed, not bothering putting clothing on her for now. She smiled softly down at her before going back downstairs.

Nik was laying on the couch, a blanket thrown over himself when he saw Moya come back. She was still in the bikini and that made his lips twitch. "From the look on your face she stayed asleep." Still watching her he opened his arms, inviting her to lay on the couch with him. Though the only real space was on top of him unless they laid sideways. Even then it was a close fit.

Moya smiled and nodded, walking over and going into his arms. She made it so they had to be on their sides, but she was able to rest her head on his chest and close her eyes. "Good thing I don't have my stitches anymore."

He nodded and gave a light kiss to her neck, her shoulder, her head. Then turning her head he kissed her softly, squeezing her in a hug. "Being a wolf'll do that to you. Healing time decreases and you find yourself stronger."

Moya nodded and smiled, kissing him back. After a few moments she yawned, even though she didn't want to admit she was tired.

Smiling he just settled against the couch with her, reveling in the warmth of being next to her. "It's ok to say you're tired, Moya. Truthfully I am too." Being in the water so long always made him tired. Now he just wanted to kick back and relax.

Moya sighed happily and hid her face in his chest, slowly falling asleep. "Today was fun, we should do it again some time."

Waiting until she really was asleep he rubbed her back lightly, listening to the sound of her breathing. He could hear Shilo perfectly upstairs, but now his eyes were closing as well. His hand was slowing and he found himself falling into a dreamless sleep with Moya still in his arms.

Moya woke up a few hours later, it being late in the night but her stomach was starting to bug her. She gently moved out of Nik's arms and went into the kitchen and into the fridge to find something to munch on.

He groaned softly when she crawled out of his arms, shifting around on the couch till he was laying on his other side. He was still tired, but he knew he had to at least get off of the couch. With a yawn he got up, going to Shilo's room and shifting to wolf form, laying on the ground by the crib. After being with Moya for so long, he needed someone there to sleep. And Shilo was second best. Within moments he was asleep again.

Shilo heard her dad come in and woke up, seeing him fall asleep on the ground. She shifted and jumped out of the bed, quietly padding over and laying up against him, falling back asleep quickly.
Moya ate some leftover meatloaf before going upstairs to find Nik. She found him and Shilo asleep on the floor and couldn't help but smile. She sat down in the rocking chair, watching them quietly.

Nik didn't wake up when Shilo was next to him, he was sleeping too deeply at this point. But another few hours later he woke slowly and saw Moya acrossed from them in the rocking chair, smiling to himself. 'How long have you been there?' Shilo was still asleep next to him and he was careful not to move too much. He wanted her to sleep.
