Although it wasn't much, she could feel the pressure on her limbs loosen for a bit. Alicia knew that they weren't lose enough for her to move her arms and legs and they were still to tight to try to break out of. Her body couldn't let itself enjoy it due to the possibility that they were merely getting ready to pull on her harder. She made a small irritated noise as the talking started once again. I wonder if listening to these guys is part of torture. "Jeremy's notes were the kind you read and they belong to everybody!" she said in a sarcastic tone that really wasn't needed. Alicia knew that talking like this would probably cause her more pain but she was just mad at the whole situation.
As she thought about the dangers that she was most likely going to have in this hell hole, another voice caught her attention. It didn't matter that she couldn't move her head as the source of the voice came closer to her. In fact the person came a little to close for comfort. She noticed that he didn't have the visor covering his face and she could see his whole face. Her eyes narrowed slightly as she tried to comprehend what she was seeing. Wow, XANA is getting better at making monsters look more human. Alicia thought momentarily not even taking into consideration that this could be an actual living human. Her eyes widen however when he made his last statement. "Wait? What?" she said out loud in shock as she tried to move her arms.

Brook stayed in silent thought for a moment before putting the phone and charger on top of her luggage, not bothering to plug it in. "So... what now? That boy, Kearo, said something about "them" taking her to "Zero-Space". What is that? And for that matter, what exactly is this "XANA" thing anyway? Other than a, how did Alicia put it? "Computerized-freak"?"
Brook took a breath and reached into her pocket to pull out a pack of gum and stuck one in her mouth to calm her nerves. "Is there even a way to bring her back?" She held out the package with it's open side towards Conor, silently offering him a piece.

"She's definitely not gonna survive... And I highly doubt that what you plan is going to kill her in about a minute..." Sakio came in a bit closer. "And I doubt that she would be the only one that we get to play with... After all... There are more warriors..."
Kearo walked through the forest, a cold sweat was running down the side of his face. "Tired... Drained... Stress... I have no time for rest..." Kearo held his arm as the pain came back again. "Ah... Ah... Ah... Ah..." Kearo breathed slowly as he looked at the arm he held, trembling as he held it down. He kept walking through the forest as the light breeze gently blew against him. The sounds of the leaves were the only thing he heard, the distant voices of others just faded away, Kearo was alone. Kearo took deep breaths again as the trees around him started to blur and duplicate as he walked by them. His head hurt, his breathing got slower, he started gasp a bit as he came into an open patch of the forest that was clear of trees. Kearo let go of his arm and held his chest, the pain in his arm only coming back again, but Kearo didn't worry about that at the moment. Right now, he had to worry about trying to stay conscious, standing was barely keeping him awake. "I-I can't... go... on..." Kearo let out as he hit the floor and suddenly passed out.

"Oh, where to begin?..." Conor said as he sat down on Alicia's bed. He scratched his head slightly. "Let's start with XANA. Simply put, he's a form of Artificial Intelligence - a computer program. He has some kind of grudge against humans and wants to kill us all. A few years ago, a group of kadic students defeated him and 'deleted' him, so to speak. He's now in Zero-Space, which is kind of like a huge recycle bin for the internet. That's where all the monsters and warriors of XANA go back to when they aren't fighting. That's also where Alicia is right now too."
He paused, and looked at the gum Brook was offering. Hesitantly he took one and put it in his pocket. "Thanks. Anyways, just like there are ways of recovering deleted files from a computer, I'm sure there's a way to get her back. It's a question of ability and time, really..."

"That depends on what you're going to do," Ethan said in a matter-of-fact tone, glancing at Isaac over his left shoulder. He turned back toward Alicia, speaking to Sakio though his attention was fixed on the girl. "If my thoughts are correct, then she can't die here. We are, after all, merely deleted data. We can't die again."
He floated closer to Alicia, and circled around behind her. He mused aloud, partially for her benefit. "I could break your neck, and you'd still be alive to feel it. But I'll save that for later. You haven't exactly answered my question. I asked you who has Jeremy's notes..." The rings pulled at Alicia's limbs again, noticeably harder than before. Any harder, and ligaments would start tearing. "Lyoko is XANA's domain, and in it our power is absolute. I suggest you start running."

"Please Ethan don't h-hurt the girl..." Presea said decending from above them. She knew this new girl was a Lyoko warrior but she did not like the way Ethan was torturing her. She has obviously not known where Jeremy's papers were so the interrogation was pointless.

"So the traitor finally speaks." Ethan clenched his teeth briefly at the sound of Presea's voice. While the rings continued to hold Alicia's limbs taut, he turned to face her with gleaming red eyes. His voice dripped with sarcasm as he congratulated her. "Who else could have been such a huge lump of dead weight outside of Zero-Space? If you were trying to cut into my and Isaac's operation time while yielding as little results as you can, well done. Now you're further attempting to undermine our success by pitying this pathetic human girl. You've officially earned that title as far as I'm concerned."
He floated toward Presea as he continued to speak in his quiet but serious tone. "Two XANA-warriors would have had nearly an hour of operational time, instead of the measly half-hour we got with an extra leech like you present. Since we aren't exactly rolling in energy in Zero-Space, only expend it if it will gain us results. Isaac's hacking made the entire attack possible. I neutralized two lyoko warriors and brought one back for questioning. XANA finally ran out of energy and had to deactivate the tower, which led to the attack failing. You used up energy that would have ensured the attack's success and all you did was speed up erosion."
He stopped right in front of Presea, hovering slightly less than an arm's length away. It became evident that underneath his calm voice and neutral demeanor, he was seething with anger. His right hand shot out, and grabbed the front of the girl's outfit forcefully. He yanked her into him, holding her in front of him, their faces mere inches from each other. "I would love to kill you. But like I said before, that's not possible inside Zero-Space. So consider yourself incredibly. Goddamned. Lucky!"
Two small slabs of ice formed underneath his feet, anchoring him as he threw Presea away from him as hard as he could, sending her spinning into the void. The ice ensured that he stayed mostly stationary and that she received most of force exerted by his arm. "Lyoko is XANA's domain, and in it our power is absolute. I suggest you start running."

The pain was unbearable as her arms and legs were pulled in different directions. Alicia tried not to scream but it was no use. It felt as if her limbs would be ripped off if this continued. She hated this whole situation, she was trapped with a bunch of psychos and there was nothing she could do about. They wouldn't stop until she gave away the location of the files, but she couldn't. If they got the information, they would most likely just go after the others and kill them all. How could she have fought XANA all those times and just give them the information they wanted now? Tears started to form due to the pain of the shackles. This is too much. I don't think I can take much more of it. She opened her mouth to talk but found herself struggling. "It's..." she began in a low voice.

Sakio was amused by everything that was happening. The torture, Presea trying to defend the girl, Ethan throwing her away, it felt like he was in a dream, only it was very real. He watched as the rings began to put more tension on Alicia's body, then tears started to form in her eyes. "Tears... The best side dish to screaming... Getting a little physical would complete the feast..."
Kearo was sitting in a room completely filled with white. He sat on the ground as the entire emptiness of the place stared to fade away, while the entire area started to fade in. He found himself sitting on a cliff in the mountain sector and the fog had just cleared away. His legs were dangling off the side as he sat there and looked down into the white nothingness below. "Where am I? This isn't Lyoko." Kearo just sat there and sighed as he kept looking down. "What am I going to do now?" "Good question. What are you going to do?" "Maybe just give up. Give in. Forget?" "What would you do to forget?" "I don't know... " "Would giving in just make you forget?" "Maybe... Fighting without anything holding me back... No worries about who I attack... I'd have all the power I need..." "You know that giving in isn't a solution." "It just helps me..." "You don't see what it has done to you? You don't see what I've done to you? I think that it has affected you more than you think." "What do you mean by that? I am okay. I can deal with it. I can control it..." "You're lying to yourself. You know you can't control it." "I don't really care. I just want to lose my weaknesses. No second thoughts, no worries, nothing in my way, no regrets." "I've really affected you that much. You need to give in. But you don't want to. I know what you want. Using me all the time won't help you. You need to do this yourself." "Well... I might be done thinking like that. We'll just wait and see when this is over..." "I don't think it will be over anytime soon. You can't be worrying about being weak. My power ain't something that will help you. You feel the first part of the effects. Eventually, you will be gone......" "Ahhhh!" Kearo gasped as he woke up and found himself on the ground in the middle of the park. "That's right. I can't give into the Rage... I can't lose myself to my own power..." Kearo stood up from where he was and took a deep breath as the breeze came back. "And I won't..." Kearo said before he turned and headed for the factory.

Brook put the packet of gum back in her pocket after Conor took a piece and listened intently to his explanation about everything. "How long would it take to get her back, though? I mean, someone is bound to notice she's gone soon. And besides that, if she's really trapped in some virtual garbage can filled with monsters, she's probably in some huge trouble if we don't get her out ASAP." Brook groaned and leaned back against the wall, staring at the ceiling. It's weird. I come here so my life doesn't have to change and this happens. Irony sucks.
"Geez, what if those freaky computers delete her or something..." Brook shifted back into a more comfortable sitting position. "So... there's gotta be something we can do, right? Like, instead of just sitting here..."

"I'm merely guessing at this point, but..." Conor spoke tentatively, searching for the right words to get his ideas across. He sounded very unsure of himself and spoke slowly, quietly. "... if Zero-Space stays true to the mechanism of an ordinary computer's recycle bin... then there's a chance that Alicia will be safe. When files are deleted on a computer, they're not erased, just marked as space available for use. Only when another program overwrites the deleted data, does the program get erased. So, if we don't do any massive data transfers, we might be able to prevent Alicia's data from being overwritten long enough to get her out of there."
He stood up, and looked toward the door. He spoke again, his voice back to normal. "I was actually going to go to the factory after coming here to look into some stuff about Lyoko and Zero-Space... do you want to come with me? Maybe we could work together if you know how to use the supercomputer..."

Having dealt with the bothersome, pitiful excuse of a XANA-warrior named Presea, Ethan turned back to Alicia. He saw her lips move, but was too far away to hear what she said. The ice beneath his feet vaporized and disappeared as he floated closer, stopping behind and slightly above her. He reached forward and grabbed her left hand, bending the wrist and fingers back and forth gently wearing an expression of slight curiosity, as if it were a toy of some sort.
"You said something." He spoke as he continued to bend her hand in circles with both of his. If he felt weird holding hands with the enemy, he didn't show it. His tone changed to one of gentle encouragement, giving the impression that he was someone that could be confided in. "Come on, you can tell me. Where are Jeremy's notes?" "Lyoko is XANA's domain, and in it our power is absolute. I suggest you start running."

 Isaac remained near, but he did not interfere. He established a mental link with Ethan.
There's a few things I'll be needing to know about the world outside of lyoko.
He stood by, watching the whole scene as it unfolded. He looked up to see Presea coming near. His expresion was one of intense dislike.
Once again, Sakio felt the need to chime in with everything. He flickered out of sight for a breif instant to appear before Sakio within the same moment. "Listen you little s**t. You're in the way. Why don't you go play with the little girl? You're pathetic. You don't know what you're doing here, so just leave it alone." he said with venom dripping from each word. He pushed Sakio back into a suddenly opened portal behind him. The exit portal spat him out by Presea and closed as he came out. There was no way for him to fight his way back through. He returned to his waiting position.((my apoligies with the username mix up. Is that okay with you AnitaSakura? If so, Isaac can send her out of Zero-Space, because it fits in with my plan.))

Oh great what is he going to do now? She wondered as Ethan stared to make his way closer. She just wanted to be back on Earth and away from all these people. Alicia's wrists and ankles were throbbing with pain from the shackles' tight grip. Her eyes followed Ethan as he floated up but once he got in back of her, the shackle around her neck made it difficult for her to turn her head. He's probably going to break my neck now. Merely assuming what her next form of torture would be. However she felt something, instead of him grabbing her neck, she felt him grab her wrist.
Alicia cringed as he moved her hand back and forth. She assumed that he was trying to lead her into a false sense of securing before doing something. He's probably going to dislocate my fingers any second now. She felt sick to her stomach as she tried to pull her hand but couldn't. Resisting against his hands, Alicia tried to roll her fingers into a fist in hope of protecting them but was having trouble. From the look of everything, she could see no other option. I'm sorry guys, "They're on some disks. I think Conor might have them but I'm completely not sure."
((I'm mostly following Ethan's plan but with its okay with him then I'm fine with it.))

Ethan glanced at Isaac briefly and replied through the mind link. He continued to gently twist and stretch Alicia's hands and fingers. He could feel her tensing up underneath his hold and didn't force the movements. She's anticipating me breaking her fingers or something... so I'll make her feel suspense.
"No, you do know where they are. Tell me before I break something." He smirked. He resisted the fleeting temptation to bend her fingers all the way back. "Lyoko is XANA's domain, and in it our power is absolute. I suggest you start running."
