Valzar smiled to himself picking up on her thoughts. For some strange reason he found comfort here, with her. He couldn't explain it. He knew somewhere in his mind that they shouldn't be doing this. She'd said before that she had a lifemate - in her world where the males ruled, one would someday put a claim on her...he unconsciously pulled her a bit closer at that thought. Why did it bother him? He was suppose to respect females, respect them, protect them, and stay out of their way...but he didn't have to do that with Callista.

She took a breath, taking his scent in and memorizing it. "Then don't. I never want to be anywhere but right here." She brushed a small kiss against his chest.

Valzar felt a strange sensation as her lips touched his skin. The warning bells in his mind were going off but some other part of him ignore them. He wanted to stay like this.

She leaned her head up and kissed his mouth gently, not expecting him to kiss her back. All she knew was that she needed to touch him. She right next to him, but it wasn't close enough. She wanted, no needed to be closer.

Valzar blinked at her actions but quickly found himself carefully, uncertainly returning the gesture.

Callista's heart lept as he kissed her back. Her body responed and she deepened the kiss, pressing herself against him.

Wow... Valzar thought in his mind. He thought for certain he was seeing bright, brilliant light dancing before his eyes for a moment, making him dizzy. "Woah!" he yelped aloud as he somehow lost his balance and fell back, tumbling to the ground, his arms still around Callista...

Callista gasped as they fell to the ground. "What's wrong?" Her voice was a soft purr against his chest, it sounded forgein to her, but she liked the sound of it.

I'd call that fair, you're making my heart flip. She snuggled into him. "I think we need to stay like this, at least until you feel up to getting up." She smiled and tilted her head up to kiss him again.

He smiled as their lips touched once again, I'd forgotten you could do that... All the while the logical part of his brain was struggling to regain control and assess the situation. But for all he could understand was that he wanted to be with Callista, just like this. He was happy here. The logical side was disgusted, its diagnosis: brain mushed
