Hinote Tosatsu I am angry! Well, not really, sort of annoyed though. I am the Ichibi host, yet pretty much everyone in sand has sand manipulation abilities that equal or exceed that of the host. Take the desert fist style at it's higher levels, add in all of the sand jutsu, and the Ichibi host no longer has anything unique. The only real consolation I can find on the matter is that by using the innate sand control ability, I can pretty much use any of the sand jutsu without learning them. If that's false, I can't really say that the Ichibi is all that special anymore. Hey, my bloodline pretty much copied your abilities. Think how I feel. But you have a pretty large and undeniable point.

And as far as desert fist goes, you ARE an academy student, so there will be people who are stronger than you at sand manipulation

But you have a pretty large and undeniable point. Another point to throw in is when people misinterpret the taijutsu style, and start pulling total manipulation out of it. It is very easy to make that mistake, as at academy student level all it says is that the student starts learning to manipulate the sand. That leaves the impression that they can do whatever with it, but then the later levels restrict it to connection to the body, and finally at jounin level they have total control, just like the Ichibi host. It really makes no sense for there to be a demon that the only benefit of is higher chakra and sand manipulation, when you could just go learn it anyways by studying a taijutsu. It also gives access to all the wind jutsu, but those are all learn-able too.

@Greg: That is my entire point. In the manga and anime you never see anyone capable of using sand other than Gaara, and in a way, the third kazekage. To suddenly discover that not only can everyone use it, but they can use it better than the host is just plain weird.

If that's false, I can't really say that the Ichibi is all that special anymore. ... look, you have high chakra, which even a bloodline kage could never hope to achieve, so as you get up in ranks, your chakra is going to go through the roof, you can use any sand jutsu without even using chakra for it, and plus you are able to manipulate hard earth as well... if there is no sand, desrt fist is screwed over, we have to carry a hefty amount of wieght with us all the time, combine that ith the fact if we ge wet we are screwed, and you've got yourself a dead desert fist user... You can manipulate the earth at will, and in that reguard you can make sand indefinitly... qut whining and think of our limits as deser fist style users... 1 we can't do crap without sand 2 we have som many weaknesses, it isn't even funny... 3 if we get wet we are screwed as far a taijutsu goes. 4 if someone get's past our sand what the crap are we supposed to do? 5if they took the equivalent of sand paper ripping their skin, what is a kick going to do? 6 and if they were fast enough to dodge, how the hell are we supposed to hit them... Gaw! Quit whining, just because I used a freakin creative way to manipulate sand, make it go in a circle, make it suck me down, dig my way under my twin, kick him into the circular moving sand, allow him to fall for such a cheap trick, and make him go halfway down before my other twin lost all focus and the sand stopped moveing completely...

The third Kazekage was able to study and mimic the Ichibi's sand manipulation, whos to say he didnt write it down or something?
