The icy gazed was matched with one that had had centuries of practice and abuse to perfect it, the man holding his own easily, “Monty, I would sooner rip out my own heart and give it to her and you to continue to destroy before I intentionally harmed the woman. I love her, and though you may want her dead or otherwise, that doesn’t take from it. To intentionally harm her… I would never do such a thing.” He looked back just barely as he heard the woman of their conversation. “I’ll be down in a second. We’re just saying bye.”
His attention was back to Monty as he simply glared back before moving past him, Kalore and the other elf hugging before shadows overtook him and he was standing beside Gambler, arms wrapped around her waist as he chuckled softly. “Sorry about that… but you know Kalore.” He kissed her cheek before she could freak at being snuck up on, knowing her issue with that if he didn’t immediately prove who he was. Rave’s own demeanor was lost some by what Monty had said and done. If even Monty was getting like this… just what was it that was wrong with Gambler? Had he done something else? Had he really hurt her that badly? Goddess, he hoped not.

The demon snarled low in his throat at the elf. "See that you do rip out your heart. I hope I am around to see it." The demon would enjoy seeing if the elf would rip out his own heart for the woman because he was of a mind to rip it out for him and present it on a platter, of the purest silver he had in his attic, for the boss. Monty didn't say anything else as he let Rave go, hoping that this male didn't kill whatever was left in Gambler.
Gambler hugged Rave as soon as he appeared, kissed his cheek. "I hope he didn't molest you or anything because then that would mean I have to out do him." She pouted, grabbing his hand and leading them out of the house and down the street. It would take a bit of time to get to the heart of Area 6 for her club but that was okay.
She wanted to soak up the quiet time before the loud music would bring them back to reality. "Rave? Are you really going to null that contract? If it's possible, perhaps there is another way to pay back the debt he owes? Maybe he could have someone else work it off for Kalore so that he's not harmed." She said, looking worried for the elf.

Chuckling softly, Rave hugged her back as he shook his head, “I doubt that I’m the one that keeps Kalore’s interest anymore, Gambler.” Kissing her softly, he followed her outside into the cool night, keeping the woman close as they were silent for a while. When she spoke, he couldn’t help but sigh. The elf had known that this would come up, but he really didn’t know what it was that he was going to do with it. “No one is going down there to work for him, for he stepped out of line incredibly. I will recheck the contract, but I’m sure that I placed something in there just for a situation for when Kalore runs off.” It was something that had happened in the past so he, sadly, wasn’t too surprised by where the elf went.
“But… if he continues to say that he did nothing wrong and won’t agree to null the contract, then I will find his price and I’ll pay it myself.” Rave shrugged some, “But Kalore will not go back there, nor will anyone else. I don’t want anyone to have to deal with Eri.” Out of everyone that he knew, that was still alive, Eri bothered him the most by far. Looking over at Gambler, he kissed her temple, “Or would you rather I do something else?”
Watching Rave leave, Kalore was left sitting there in nothing but pure shock, “M-Monty…?” There was a bit of anger in his voice but he tried to keep himself calm. Why had Monty done all of that to Rave? What was it that the man had done and hadn’t Rave mentioned something about Monty having tried to kill his boss? Was this recently? He didn’t know but as he watched the demon, confusion and anger were both fighting for a place in his features and at the moment confusion was winning, “Why… Why did you say all of that?”

Gambler kissed him back and sighed, leaning on him as she was leading them to a short cut to get to the city. "Actually I was hoping some blood and possibly a head on a platter." The woman grumbled but then again that's what she would most likely expect should someone disrespect her in anyway.
"Nevermind, that's best and if anything it would be better if you could somehow get Kalore's reputation to be restored? If Kalore decides to get back into his lands with people not liking him then it's a high chance that Eri might jump him or something. If people like him again, they would be more inclined to defend him." She reasoned, making a turn that would take them straight to her club.
The demon slowly turned his head to look at Kalore. "It had to be said." If anyone was going to tell him that he was just being an a**hole then he was going to throw someone out. Monty had his reasons and yes, he hated Gambler but he pushed that aside because if he was going to be honest with himself.....she was the only true friend he's ever had his entire life.

Biting his lip softly, the man wasn’t completely sure on how it was that he could answer that. “Gambler…” Sighing softly, he shook his head some as he held her hand just a bit harder, not really knowing how it was that he could explain all of this to her. “Gambler, not many people liked him in the first place.” Rave’s voice was soft as he continued, “The problems with Lord Kyin, Kristopher, the reputation that Lucien brought out on him along with Eri… it didn’t matter what Kalore did, no one liked him in the way that he wanted. He was a pretty boy in everyone’s mind that could dance well, but when they were in trouble then he was the one that they wanted around.” He shook his head again, looking forward as a flash of anger went over his eyes.
To know that people only wanted you there when you were ‘useful’ was one of the hardest things that he had had to deal with when he was trying to get out of being Lucien’s pet. Rave and Kalore were damn strong, they both knew it and they all knew what it was that they were good at, but unless the nation was at war or there was some form of crisis, Rave was the eye candy for the prince and Kalore was the cover boy that was delusional about his family. Neither were true, but… it was just how it was.
“In Dark Haven, the one place that Kalore now goes, he will be okay. No one there really likes many people from Harl or from Ellwood, but… I’m afraid that his reputation was gone years before this, Gambler.” It was sad, but it was the truth.
Kalore watched the demon, his demon, with eyes that now held only confusion, “Why in the hell did that need to be said? What’s going on?” He was hurt, he was in pain, and now he was confused. This wasn’t something that Kalore was really all that fond of at the moment. Shaking his head again, he tried to sit up just a bit more as he groaned some, touching his forehead. The light was beginning to hurt again, but maybe it only had to do with the fact that mentally he was more confused than he had been in a long time and Kalore really didn’t like it. “I know that you don’t like Rave, I understand this… but what’s going on with the two of you, Monty?”

"Then change their minds. Progress forward rather than go backwards. These people sound like damned ignorant fools from back in the day or these psycho religious people who just are psycho in brainwashing people that this way is correct and not the true way. Words from you, from Dusk and from those that know Kalore as his friends can help. So he dances and happens to be beautiful...Big deal. He's still....an elf too."
Gambler had been about to say human but that wouldn't be good. "Besides, if your own people can't believe that Kalore can suffer like the rest of us then they don't know what it's like to have the life." With that the boss looked away, staring ahead of them as the looming crowd that signified that they were very close to her club.
The demon scowled at Kalore. "Don't worry about it. It was between myself and the elf." The elf that was making Gambler doubt herself. "Just lay down and rest. You haven't slept well or anything." He muttered, coming closer to pick up the tray of items and started for the door, not wanting to have this conversation.

Rave said no more, but he knew that it was a lot more than Kalore being beautiful and dancing for Eri that had him being someone that so few trusted. It was his own father, Kristopher, making sure that everyone knew that the elf was insane and only good for a handful of things, along with the panics that Kalore would go into when he was younger. Everyone’s past had something that made them seem like less of a real person than anything else, but… still. Shaking his head some, the man ran a hand through his hair, “it… It’s not like that or that simple, Gambler…” but rave’s voice was soft as he didn’t think that he could allow much more with this conversation. They wanted to have a good time, not talk about pain from the past.
Looking down, Kalore shook his head but he sunk down into the bed, thinking about just what it was that was causing Monty to do this. It didn’t seem like it was between him and Rave because his friend looked just as surprised as Kalore did when the demon had confronted him. He didn’t know what all of this was about and it bothered him, by a lot. Shaking his head again, he was soon huddled in the covers, trying to think of something else that he could do that would make it to where he could be calm. With his mind now on the other man… he wasn’t too sure that there were all that many things that would work.

Gambler nodded slightly. "I know it's not like that or simple. I know that more than all these people here. Yet every generation always has it's bad apples that need to be plucked no matter what. If you stop where ever this animosity is coming from, then you stop if from infecting more people than it already is." She said, walking ahead of him towards the enterance of the clubs. The lion shifter bouncers gave one look to the line and they all splitted away from the boss walking down.
Smiling she kissed her favorite lions on the cheek and gave them some smooth handshake as she reached out to grab Rave's hand tugging him gently to her side. The lions pouted. "I see our favorite boss is taken. Damn." They teased, snapping their fingers in mock display of dismay. "You know if my hubby here wasn't so exclusive with me I could have asked to create a harem but that's not going to happen." She winked and grinned broadly at Rave. "Unless you don't mind sharing a bit?"
Monty went down stairs and washed out the tray and the plates, taking his time to curb the temper that was wanting to get out of it's cage. Once he did feel it was controlled enough he went upstairs with a large glass of water and placed it next to Kalore. "Do you need anything else?" He asked, trying to be nicer.

He said nothing, knowing that in all honesty… nothing that they did was going to help Kalore’s reputation. It was gone and there was no getting it back. None of them liked admitting that, but the man had done some things that even he knew was going to ruin it for him, though he did try his hardest not to do so. But, as they went to the club, Rave distracted himself by raising a brow. Chuckling, he shook his head as he kissed her cheek, “no.” he wasn’t going to share and there was no way that someone was going to make him share. No, Gambler was his. He ushered her into the club, shaking his head again, “mine. No sharing.” There, this was something that he could definitely agree with thinking of instead of the thoughts from before.
Kalore shook his head, biting his lip as he continued to look away. He wanted to ask about Rave again, but would Monty just get mad at him? Panic flew through him in a moment but he forced himself to calm down. He couldn’t keep thinking like that and he couldn’t allow himself to keep panicking. No, now just wasn’t the time. Then again, when was the time? Ignoring that thought, he glanced up at him finally, sighing some before shaking his head, “I… I’m fine, Monty… thank you.”

The demon nodded and moved towards the door. "I'll let you rest on your own." He said. Monty quickly turned to go back into the bathroom to clean it up a bit and to take the water bottle with him so he could refresh the water in there. Kalore still needed to flush his system out even if he wasn't eating too much. At the very least, the elf could survive six weeks on fluids but then he would be force feeding him.
Gambler leaned against Rave and kissed his chin. "I think your claim has been heard Sir Rave. Let's not scare away my male employees alright?" She teased, leading them to the bar to get a drink. "Would you like anything here?" she asked needing something to relax her more.

Smirking just a bit at the name, the man leaned down, kissing her cheek, “As you wish Miss Gambler.” He chuckled softly, shaking his head some at the offer of a drink. “Not really… Maybe something a bit light?” And sweet… but he didn’t say that. For some reason or another, most of the elves had a thing for sweet things, but only a few of them came out about it. It wasn’t like it was bad to like sweets, but Rave just figured that no one had ever asked him so why mention it? There was no reason to mention it, of course. At least, that’s what he told himself. “What do you tend to get here?”
Kalore said nothing as he simply curled in a tighter ball, sighing some. Why did it bother him so much that Monty wouldn’t tell him? With how the elf was, he knew, in the back of his mind, that he was going to be thinking of this for a long time and that bothered him. He and Monty had just gotten back to where they spoke to one another after months. He had even been held by the demon and… he didn’t want to mess that up. But Rave was his best friend, the one person that had tried to help him when no one else would. HE couldn’t just let someone mess with him without at least knowing the reason for it.

The boss chuckled and turned to wave her favorite brown haired and blue eyed bartender who went by the nickname of Barky. "Hey Gam. Long time no see." He said, smiling at her. Gambler grinned and leaned up to kiss his cheek. "I know. My elf here locked me up in his room and chained me to the bed since he didn't want anyone else to look at me." She pouted cutely. "I had to convince him to let me out at least once in a while."
Barky laughed and shook his head, looking at Rave. "I don't blame you for doing such a thing." He said, giving the elf a respectful nod then turned to his boss, handing her a mojito. "That's my extra special mojito." He said as Gambler squeed happily and sipped it. Then she offered a bit to Rave. "It's not sweet but....it can be if you want a specific flavor. Barky is my Mojito King." She winked.
The demon was finished and walked out of the bathroom to look at Kalore. "I'm going to go out and buy you some clothes so you can be more comfortable alright? Could you tell me your sizes and the stores you like to go to?" He also wanted to go out and get something nice for Kalore since he was being short tempered with him just now. It wouldn't be much but he did want to be nice.

Rave couldn’t help but roll his eyes at the woman’s comments, chuckling softly as they went to the bar to see the brown haired man that he recognized from before. He remembered how close they had been before, the action sparking a small bit of jealousy but… he wasn’t going to be jealous. No, that just wasn’t something that was nearly the right thing to do, not now at least. Giving a respectful nod back to the other, it wasn’t long before he was blinking some, “I don’t need it to be sweet…” He didn’t need it to be sweet but that always made things much better. Still, he didn’t want his need to be caught so he took a sip of it, nodding just a bit, “It is quite good, actually… What flavors would you recommend?” Hopefully there would be something sweet…
Glancing over at the other, the man blinked some before he tried to sit up, groaning softly again. He probably needed to eat something else, but Kalore didn’t think that he could really stomach much of anything. His stomach was angry at him, his head wasn’t as bad as it was before, but he still hurt. Lovely. “Um… I don’t really know what size I am now…” the clothes that he had worn before would be baggy on the man, but he hadn’t realized just how much weight he had lost because Eri had made sure that he had control of what the man wore. He wouldn’t have noticed the difference with his clothes tight on him like normal.
“As for stores…” Kalore listed off about twenty of them that he frequented, but he knew his demon… he wouldn’t really pay attention to the stores as much as he would items. “Dark jeans and a tank top, or a mesh shirt. Hoodies work as well.”

Gambler blinked and looked at Barky. "I think your going to have your work cut out for you." She said, motioning for her bartender to get ready to start making more drinks. "There is mango, strawberry, cherry, strawberry kiwi, pineapple, pina colada, peach, raseberry. Then there is some margarita's that are all fruits flavors...." The woman counted off the names with other different types of drinks that were sweet all the while Barky was making them for him, filling up the counter with the drinks.
Nodding, Monty remembered the names of the stores and what it was that the elf wanted to wear looking him over slowly. "Is that all you want?" He remembered that the elf wore converse so perhaps he would get some of those. Yet he might have to spend time out of the house to get the right colors and possibly call the elf to ask him.
Going over her pulled out his cell phone he handed it to Kalore. "If you need anything else call me. I might call you from my back up phone I have in the car to ask for sizes and what color's you might like. Alright?" He leaned down to kiss the elf gently on his cheek and walked away.

Eyes widening just a bit, Rave shook his head, attempting to get them to stop for a moment, “Now… I simply asked what you yourself liked and what flavors there were… I don’t think that he needs to make all of these…” Then again, had she said mango? Blinking a bit, Rave had to force his hand to not dart out to the specific drink, able to smell his own favorite fruit as he sipped at it slowly. A small, miniscule smile on his features as he nodded just a bit, “This will do…” His eyes glinted a bit with a pleased emotion; it had been a while since he had had mango… but Rave just never thought to ask for it and the elfish bars didn’t ever have it, damn them.
Taking the phone, Kalore bit his lip softly, “Well… no… but at the moment, it’ll do.’ He smiled softly at him, leaning over to kiss his cheek softly as he sighed some. Kalore watched him as he left, sighing some before shaking his head a bit, moving so that he could snuggle back into the bed. The new clothes wouldn’t do anything for him if he was too tired to wear them, but the thought of Monty actually buying this for him was something that he really did love. Kalore didn’t know why but… still.
