The point is being released through the arc that is going on right now. For the time being the point is just to create a character and rank it up, similar to this guild.

Cutest thing in the world:
My cat eats his food standing over the water (keep in mind that he is mentally challenged), and every so often he drops his food into the water bowl, and nudge it down with his nose. My Mom and I think that, he thinks that his reflection is another cat, and he's feeding the cat. I don't have a heart to pull him away, so we save all the food being destroyed by the water. whee
