Jakk tossed back the rest of his coffee as he watched her.
"You are an unusual breed around here, pretty one."
He rose quickly, picking up his cup. "Would you like a refill?"

Jalceri nodded. "Yes please.", she said.
Jalceri removed her gaze from the cup and looked at Jakkin. "Nor do I normally run into breeds such as yourself too often.", she said.

Jak grinned down at her mockingly. "Touche my dear. How do you take yours?" He picked up her cup, his eyes questioning.

She shrugged. "Coffee is coffee", she said.
"Damn things..", she said stretching her wings again. She had managed to sleep the wrong way again and paid for it now.

Jak moved off to the counter, returning quickly with their coffee.
Seeing her stretch, he put the coffee down before moving behind her. "Allow me, my dear."
He placed his hands at the base of her wings, carefully finding the right spot before applying pressure.
"These things can be difficult..."

Jalceri sighed releaved.
"You must have other friends with these horrid things, you've got this down to a professional level.", she said with a slight chuckle.

Jak moved back to his chair, stretching his own wings before he sat down. "Friends? No, just a mother who taught me well in that regard. You may run into a few others here with them, but none quite like you."
He sipped his coffee, closing his eyes for a moment.

"I was surprised to even find one person with these things. Where I come from they're unheard of. One of the main reasons I fancied Lacuna, she didn't seem to pay much mind to them", Jalceri laid her feet hidden behind her giant boots on the table. She wasn't much on manners which seemed more than obvious, but she still had some odd aura that somehow gave the opposite impression, atleast to most.

Jak rested his chin on one hand, the other rubbing his temples.
"For some reason, this place seems to be a gathering place for many unique individuals. My lovely Laci, however is still one of a kind."

"Ah.. Yes, Lacuna sure is a wonder. You got lucky", she said.
She directed her attention to her coffee and took a large gulp of it. She sighed content that her journey was soon ending and smiled at Jakkin.
"I'm sure I'll eventually run into Lacuna around this place then. Surprised she hasn't hit up the club though, she loves to drink", Jalceri pulled out a cigarette from behind her ear and lit it and took a drag off it. "Smoking IS allowed, yes?"

Jak smiled back, tossing back the rest of his coffee.
"She often frequents the club, though I imagine she and Suru are taking advantage of my absence to spend some quality time together. You may find her there at some point, or here."
He pushed his glasses back on, picking up his hat before he stood.
"If you'll excuse me, its been a long trip and I'm anxious for my bed."

Jalceri nodded. "I should be taking me leave as well", she said.
"It was nice meeting you and I'm sure we'll run into eachother some other time", she stood and winked before taking her leave from the lovely cafe.

Mikey pushed open the door of the coffee house and glanced around the empty room as he headed to the counter. He ordered a cup of coffee, and once he'd recieved his drink he walked over and took seat at a table in the corner. Pulling his sketchbook from his bag, he began to doodle boredly.

Laramie was bored, and nervous, and humming to herself. She wandered into the coffee shop and took a surreptitious look about the place.
"Cute." she said to herself. Coffee was ordered, seat taken, new book Abarat seemingly removed from thin air. Then Lara began to read...
The storm came up out of the southwest like a fiend, stalking its prey on legs of lightning. The wind it brought with it was as foul as the devil's own breath, and it stirred up the peaceful waters of the sea...
