Lyzzi had done this before, so she thought that doing it again would be no problem... Apparently she was wrong, as she couldn't figure out how to work the launcher.

However, after a bit of fiddling around, she remember what she did the previous time, and wound up the launcher. Once she was ready, Lyzzi got on the glider and waited for the launcher to work, sending her soaring into the sky.

Shifting her weight to better control the glider, Lyzzi tried not to look down, focusing on what's ahead instead. She felt what seemed like courage despite her own fear, helping her to steady the glider and keep moving forward without losing too much altitude.

Failing, Carmus was forced back, and he cursed himself, and the fog. He loathed the lack of control. Next time he told himself, it would be different.

Starting again, Carmus was flung into the air, (sans screaming), and tried to ignore the voices that distracted him.

The courage was then replaced by someone's anger; it was directed at her, even though she could not make out what it was angry about. It shook her confidence, and she could feel herself losing more altitude that she would have liked.
