Keep going, she pleaded with herself. She wanted to cry so badly, but she didn't know if she had anymore tears left in herself. so, she wept silently, her shoulders shaking as did the rest of her body as she kept pushing herself up so many flights of stairs.

That thought, the thought of wrenching what little happiness they might have held from them spurred him on. He moved along swiftly, steady in wanting to catch them both at the top. But not to give them that pleased sad smile. No.
Far from it.
There was only disinterest, perhaps hatred on his face as he approached the man first. He was good at one thing, he thought, climbing stairs. Great! Everyone needed a talent!
If the man reached for him, he merely shoved the hand away, glaring a bit as he brushed by the man. He looked back and gave the girl who was approaching one last look. Disappointment? Yes, that was it. She was a constant failure as well. After all.
Had she not killed him? If she was more useful, more with purpose. She wouldn't have gotten in the way.
...so sad he couldn't speak. He'd have loved to tell them all so much.

Name: Molan Current HP remaining: 50/50 Steps: 310 of 300 Character kingdom: Silver Character's Miasma Colour: Silver Character description: There is no real life left in the faded blue eyes. The bright brilliant blue now a grayed hue almost. He was covered in a pale gray garb, a scarf wound loosely to create a hood. His face shadowed. His clothing was simple, so simplistic. His hair loose in the back. There were no ties, and little beauty was left. Merely the white haired man waiting for the end. He cares not for your battle, it's obvious such things no longer matter.
Finally he was out of sight and not quite out of mind but that was okay. He really did not almost stumble seeing that he looked back again. And Yin was fairly well positive he had never seen him before in his life. Whatever there was of it.
It was such a short trip, like the last time but at least she finally managed to see them before they turned and left her. Again. She couldn't smile though, because no part of her wanted to. She hurt so much, everywhere.
Olivia wheezed, wanting so badly to rest. They would leave her again, she knew if she delayed it anymore, they would just leave her. And she couldn't risk even the thought of it.
She looked up with tired eyes at the two. The other man, whom she still had no name for, gave her no thought. It was expected. But she caught the last glimpse of Molan's look and froze. Olivia had no more tears and she was already shaking as it was, and now all she wanted to do was melt into the floor. That look, that horrible look he was giving her. She had never seen such eyes on him, even on the battlefield when he was trying to protect her and his King.
She wanted to cry, why couldn't she cry or even cry out. Say anything, say his name, make him turn back like he didn't mean it. What had happened to her Molan? Was it the Voice? Was it really her that had done this to him, to give her one last hateful look?
She felt numb again. And barely made it to the door, something else willing her to go through into the last floor.
Apparently coffee crashes motivated one even better than drinking the stuff itself. Desperation was quite the fickle mistress.

Panting soundlessly he paused to rest for a moment. In his rest he made the motion of a groan, but of course nothing came out or was heard, when The Voice started to speak again. Rebuilt the world? Back to how it was.. Spinar growled soundlessly at himself for even entertaining the lie.
The Voice was a lie. Plain and simple kicking from his resting spot he continued on. He had to. something wouldn't let him think any further on the promise, something was pushing him to the end.
"I create this world, and thus I can give you anything. Reflect on your choices now, and remember that I even have the power to make you become the greatest Kings. I could rebuild this world around you. Everything will could be yours."
The Voice was getting desperate, wasn't it? It was bargaining, pleading even. Making more empty promises, like a fool. She was so done with this crap.

More climbing, more getting used to the eerie silence of being deaf. She would make it, just a few more flights of stairs. She could do it...

She kept climbing, ever vigilant to get Xiu out of here, get coffee, and try to sort out her feelings towards a certain Reaper. She just needed some personal time - but it would have to wait.
"If you tread further, then you will see only disappointment."
Oh, this again. She continued to run while listening to the pathetic, broken thing.
"I wish only for one True King. I do not wish for anything else. What will you gain from reaching me other than what you already know?"
Well, the satisfaction of releasing Xiu, for one. Two, the satisfaction of punching this Voice in the face. Third? Getting some damned coffee.

"If you tread further, then you will see only disappointment."
He heard the words and felt even more exhausted. Staring ahead with a determined look Spinar took another step pausing soon after to listen yet again.
"I wish only for one True King. I do not wish for anything else. What will you gain from reaching me other than what you already know?
His nose wrinkled at the only wish of the voice. All it wanted was to find a King. It cared nothing for him- them. Selfish creature. Spinar clenched his fist and pressed on ignoring the nagging ache in his legs.
