The caravan trickled into Motterossa, slowly gathering into a murmuring mass. Standing in her stirrups, Shina blows a piercing whistle. “Okay! We are breaking for the day! Remember the Pokemon center will have bunks for trainers, and can heal any injuries your pokemon might have,” Shina called.
“I strongly suggest you also find a camping supply store and stock up. We’ve relied a great deal on forage so far, but the freezelands are just that – frozen! That means there will be very little food, certainly not enough for all of us. So you will need to buy lots of food, since this is our last stop before Inhinx. You will need warm clothing and gear that can handle the cold! Starvation and frostbite are real possibilities, so make absolutely sure to stock up!” she told the assembled trainers. She had sent message ahead way back in Katarina warning of a caravan coming for re-supply, so the shops should be well stocked.
“After that, feel free to explore a little. We’ll be staying two nights, leaving the dawn after next,” Shina had plans to poke around, to make sure Team Rocket had cleared out. They had seemed to be ousted after the Eevee swarm, but now that she had a few pokemon, she wanted to poke around and make sure they were well and truly gone.
Do you: Find the pokemon center? (No plot here, sorry! Just an option for those who want to RP without getting caught up in plot stuff.)
Find a store? (Players that purchase goods may be awarded a sekrit token!)
Find an old, abandoned gym? (Players who investigate the old, abandoned gym may trigger a plot event…)
You may do more than one!

Keria had retrieved the pokeball that she had tossed during the swarm and put it away. A long time latter they had finally made it to Motterossa. She put the bike she had borrowed back in the item ball and wandered over to the pokemon center. Her rambunctious emolga could use some food and she wanted to make sure he was fully healed. Her hand brushed the pokeball she had tossed in the Howling forest and was surprised when a Blitzle popped out.
She studied the pokemon for a few minutes and petted it soothing before returning it to its pokeball. Apparently she had caught something after all. Keria smiled and decided to call it Houdini. Heading up to the desk of the pokemon center she gave them her pokemon to heal while she enquired about a place to sleep.

Joey looked around, trying to decide what to do. He needed to buy more supplies, like Shina said, and he wanted to look around the town a bit too. He didn't have a lot of money right now though, so he decided he'd go to the pokemon center first. He could heal his pokemon, ask for a bunk to sleep there tonight, and then he could go look for the local stadium and battle to earn some more money! Then after that, he could buy stuff! Happy to have a plan, Joey set off for the Pokemon center.

"Hey, Dusty, are you tired?" Natalie asked her emolga as the group started to split up. Dusty shook her head energetically and moved from her spot on her trainer's shoulder to the top of her head.
"Em, emol!" Dusty squeaked and poked her head in front of Natalie's face, one paw outstretched and pointing to a store.
Natalie smiled, "Great idea! We do need to restock our supplies." the trainer glanced around, "Hey, maybe we could even find a gym..." she mused to herself as she sets off towards a store. Dusty wasn't so ecstatic about the possibility of a battle, but she didn't want to disappoint Natalie. --- Valarie had followed the caravan into Motterossa, completely unaware of the change in surroundings until the caravan's leader blew her whistle and announced what the group will be doing next. Valarie was cynical about the whole ordeal though. Inhinx? The freezelands? She mulled something in her head: continue following the group and watch all the pokemon, or run away?
She couldn't decide in all this noise though, so she silently sneaked away; maybe she could find some old abandoned building. Those places were always quiet. Hm, maybe she could even have a snack... Valarie continued thinking to herself, and walked into a side of a gym and fell backwards. The impact made her slightly dazed and she shook her head and clumsily looked for the entrance of said gym and walked inside.
The place was completely empty. Valarie grinned triumphantly and stumbled over to a comfy looking spot that was all the way back in the gym and unzipped her bag and pulled out a sweet pecha berry and a few oran berries. Now, back to thinking about the next step of action...

Anise rode in to Motterossa on Gypsy, with all her other pokemon roaming around in the general vicinity. She hadn't been here in a while. Since the rumor of a false Eevee swarm had attracted a crowd of people, come to think of it. It was kind of hard to tell how long ago that'd been, considering the incident with the Jirachi.
Deciding the intervening time wasn't important, she listened as Shina spoke up. She had no need for a Pokemon Center's healing when she coudl do just as well for herself, though she would probably stop in later for a place to sleep. Supplies would be a good idea, though. She generally didn't travel to the far north of the continent, but she did remember the previous caravan she'd taken that way, and Shina was right; there would be precious little to forage or hunt for. With that in mind, she went to look for a store where she could stock up on supplies.

Heal sighed softly as he looked at his backpack, checking each storage pokeball and making another note into a list. "I didn't think it would drain my resources so quickly..., but I need to go to the pokemon center to send off that houndour..."
He mumbled under his breath, trying to ignore the shiny leafeon trying to get his attention. Gallifrey yelped and ran around his legs, then tripped over his legs, whinning a little. "Give it time, Gall, you'll get used to the new length of your legs..." Heal mumbled, giving the newly-evolved pokemon a sincere smile. "Come on, let's go stock up on supplies."
They headed to foodmart to buy food and herbs.

Jem walked out of the Pokémart, distractedly dodging an influx of people as she mumbled to herself and sorted through her bags. "Food should probably go in a ball so it won't spoil, but I should probably leave some loose to snack on. Potions can be loose too but higher level things can be stored in a ball. Hmm, that doesn't leave much room for the extra safety gear. Maybe it can go with the tent stuff? That might be too crowded though..." she sighed irritably at her supplies. "I'm no good at packing tetris, I really should spring for another item ball one of these days."
Deciding not to think about packing till later, the young woman finally looked around and really noticed the number of people milling about the town. "What all this? Looks like you've all been on quite the field trip!" she remarked to a young lady on a ponyta who seemed to be in charge.

Genesis lost sight of the legendaries as the caravan continued, but she hid her disappointment behind her chipper guise. They seemed to be sticking around, and the caravan still had quite a ways to go, so not all hope had been lost.
"I'm going to go get some supplies," she told Doyle as she stepped away from him. She knew this was where his sister lived, and where one of their underground bases was, too. Hmm... she'd have to shop quickly.

[[ Pretend Cetus dissolved into the abyss of nothingness after their travel into Motterosa. I feel like roleplaying my newer trainer, Magnolia. And since she is a traveler, I could use the post credits. e _ e She'll be trekking around the gym with the wild Jirachi she's assisting to help jump start the plot event. 89585 doesn't approach civilization, but you'll see her later. ]] The wishmaker tugged the sleeve of his companion's arm, urging her in the direction of the abandoned gym. When she wouldn't budge fast enough, he released his grip, and creased his mouth to a thin, perturbed line as her arm fell flatly to her side. Folding his limbs tight across his bosom, Altais frowned at Magnolia. " You've no sense of adventure, no sense of fun!" he complained, fluttering toward her until his face was only mere centimeters from hers. His arm broke from its link about his chest and he stretched a finger towards the empty building. " I want to go in here!" Magnolia remained stone-faced despite the threatening display of the legendary Pokemon before her. However, deep within her chest, a flare of anger was burning like a sputtering and cackling bonfire. Her lips creased a bit as she stood her ground before the bossy Jirachi. "I only agreed to help you get home," she replied in a flat tone. "Not explore or have fun. Now, can we get going?" Altais's frown never faded. " Fine, go. Go to the Kasfas Mountains without me. I'm going in here!" The Jirachi rushed into the ajar entrance, giggling up a storm. Magnolia's eyes widened to the whites as Altais rushed away. "I- No, wait!" she cried, but the legendary was already off to have his fun. Gritting her teeth, the fourteen year old clutched her face in her palm and sighed. She tagged along after him, having no choice in the matter. The building was dark. Too dark. Even more surprising, it looked occupied. A silhouetted female was a few lengths away from Magnolia who was standing at the mouth of the building. Catching sight of the woman, Altais immediately turned come his entrance and floated back to Magnolia, hiding behind her head. " You said there wouldn't be any other humans," he reminded her. "I'm not the one who went on ahead without permission." she returned. "If you're seen, it's your fault." " Call out to her." "Why?" " Tell her to leave. I want to explore." "No, Altais, I won't-" She tried to silence him, but he urged her forward by pushing at her shoulder. Magnolia couldn't deny his interest as, she too, was curious about a woman taking shelter in such a dilapidated place. "Um, hello?" she called toward Valerie. "Apologies for disturbing you, but do you live here?"

"Ah!" Valarie was startled when a dusty mauve-haired trainer suddenly appeared before her. Was she the gym leader? What if Valarie got in trouble and get sent back to Sinnoh? She took in a deep breath to calm herself because she was not expecting anyone else to be in the gym. Once she recomposed herself, she smiled nervously and offered a small wave, "Uh, hey...?" she greeted, and upon hearing the other trainer's question, she relaxed, "Nope! I don't live here at all... The place looked deserted so I thought I could, uh, rest here for a..." she nervously tapped her fingers on the gym's floor, "day or two. I don't really like the Pokemon Center." she lie (quite horribly at that too.) She looked back up to the stranger, "Why are you here?" she questioned, a bit skeptical about this girl.

"Oh, really . . . " Magnolia did not known what to make of Valerie's reply. However, it seemed logical enough; Pokemon Centers do get crowded and all. Maybe she didn't like being around people? People could be scary. Yet, so could abandoned, trashed buildings that was probably avoided for all the right reasons. To each their own, she guessed.
Magnolia's pink gaze slide sideways to the Jirachi using her as a hiding place. Now tucked behind the curve of her back, her eyebrows raised a portion, and Altais immediately shook his head quickly, indicating that he'd rather remain a secret. Looking back to Valerie, she gave a single blink and switched her eyes to scanning the building's lack of furnishings instead. She took a step inside, a hand reaching up and clasping itself onto the doorway frame; a subconscious anchor preventing her from traversing further until she knew the place was safe.
"I thought there was a gym here I could challenge," she replied. "Doesn't look like there's a leader though. That's disappointing."

Valarie nodded absentmindedly, "Yeah, it really is--" she stopped and her eyes widened in excitement, "Here to challenge the gym leader..." a wide grin broke out, "If you're here to challenge the gym leader... then you must have some pokemon with you!" Valarie quickly dug through her bag and pulled out a camera, a sketchbook, and a pencil. She looked at trainer with hopeful eyes, "Is it okay if I could see one of your pokemon?" she asked. Her voice then suddenly lowered, "I mean, it's okay if I can't, but, it's been a while since I watched a pokemon that most likely won't kill me." she laughed nervously.

A sliver of surprise brightened Magnolia's typically stagnant face. "Oh, yes, of course . . . " she answered, tugging the strap of her bag forward so she could take out a Pokeball. However, upon doing so, she noticed her pack had suddenly become lumpy. Unzipping it open, she saw the three-pronged head of the wish maker poking out. Altais had probably slipped inside as Magnolia conversed with this unknown woman. Sliding her hand passed him (and, subsequently, getting a look of distaste from the Jirachi at being touched), the teen plucked out one of her two spheres and released her Glameow.
Rho popped out and stretched. As he settled to sitting, his mouth cracked open and his tongue rolled out as he yawned. Eventually, his eyes settled to examining the area his trainer released him in, and he immediately hated it. "Well, here's Rho," she said. At the calling of his name, Rho turned and strode up to the girl's feet, taking a seat. "He won't kill you. Though, he might be a little indifferent."
It took Rho a moment, but he eventually caught on that Magnolia was speaking to someone -- someone not the annoying pest she had taken on to be a travel companion. His pupils dilated as he focused in the dark and spotted a woman addressing his owner. Who was she? Someone he obviously did not care about.

Valarie's eyes grew impossibly wide with excitement and she grabbed her camera, sketchbook, pencil, and a few berries and approached the glameow. "Hello, Rho," she greeted in a soft voice and offered an oran berry when she crouched down (at the same time, she resisted the urge to pet him.) She looked up to his trainer, "Is it okay if I take a few photos of him?" Valaerie ask in the same soft tone, she didn't want to risk any chance of startling a pokemon, a lesson which she had to learn the hard and painful way. (Buizels do not like it at all if you come out of no where to say hello. Nope. Not at all.)

Rho glanced down to the offered Oran Berry than to the face of Valerie with a look of complete disinterest. Ignoring her, he looked up to Magnolia, expecting something to be said. Of course, something was.
"Rho, be polite," Magnolia firmly commanded. The feline took her instruction in stride. Though he still not take the offering from Valerie, he feigned a want to pose for her (just to abide by his trainer's unruly desire to appease everyone).
"Yes, of course, go ahead," Magnolia encouraged. "You're a watcher, I'm guessing?" she added conversationally.
