Oh yeah, Chikorita! I don't care if the rest of the Pokemon world hates grass types and thinks you're the worst starter, I still love you. It's not that bad! Certainly better than I could do. The shading and coloring is quite nice. The eyes just look a little lopsided, and I'm not sure what's going on with the tail. Did you use the D/Pt/P Vulpix as the base, or any base, for that matter?

Well...at least part of quoting me turned out odd from my perspective...
~goes to look at sprite.~
Wow...that's...lovely...really. Eh heh heh heh...you'll need some more practice lass. The colouring it relatively good, but the tail looks broken. The face is lopsided, and you probably should have moved the right back leg a little further forward so it didn't merge with the left. In the Garden of Monsters I don't hate grass-types, there's just only a handful of them that interest me, and Chikorita is far from the worst starter ever. What makes Bulbasaur so great?...Ivysaur is neat...but Venusaur is a giant warty toad in my eyes. The first stage for the entire fourth gen looks silly! And then we have Tepig, who's only redeeming quality is that it becomes Emboar.
Placing that aside, I am now glad I haven't given the Chikorita a half-assed personality. Working on it. It's plot device day, and I owe you a post in the other RP.

Why is Bulbasaur so loved, you may ask? Two reason: nostalgia, or "why a bunch of idiots pretend only the first gen happened even though the battle system was so goddamn badly broken jesus christ the mewtwo on mewtwo flashbacks". And more logically, the Bulbasaur line has access to a lot of good status-inflicting moves- Leech Seed, Poison Powder, Sleep Powder, etc. I've also got a fondness for it because I deconstructed Venusaur's anatomy for a college biology final... and got a 105.
As for Chikorita, it was the first starter I raised properly to level 100 (first gen I put the HMs I could on Charmander, shoved it in a box, and never saw it again), ended up beating Red with it... and I just think it's cute. I'm quite shallow sometimes.

It's also the day First Class-Riku gets sided with Monster as her partner! In the Garden of Monsters I meant based soully on appearance. Personally my favourite was always, and always will be, Cyndaquil. That hasn't once changed since the release of Gold. Now excuse me while I continue to laugh hysterically at your First Class starter. rofl

No, you don't understand.
Igglybuff is completely ******** terrifying to me for some reason. I love the rest of the line, but Igglybuff's eyes are like horrible soulless pits of hell.
It's still pretty much the most perfect Pokemon in this situation ever, though. And yes for partners with Riku!

Practice makes perfect o ^o Really, I don't like it. I've made better. Even the accidentally tiny vulpix was better. That aside, noted for next time I sprite something. Thanks! In the Garden of Monsters No base sprite o ^o scratch'd it. Just got into Scratching really. Tail is uber fluff XD and the eyes...been trying to fix that. Angle is odd to work with though.

In the Garden of Monsters Personally I don't get it. I think Igglypuff as a cute harmless little puffball...but that, in essence, it why I think it's perfect! It contrasts her so heavily. It's...it's beautiful. lol Plot device right after I post for everyone else waiting for me on the island. I can think of nothing further to say.
