"Oh, it was no trouble at all. But I'm glad I could help." she said, sighing happily. She knew how he must have felt. She herself had been unsure during her and Keanu's quest, about how they'd manage to get all the items. She had quite a few people to thank as well.
Keanu blinked, and realized what he was asking. "Oh! I was looking for sand crabs." he said simply, and dug his hands in again, wishing he could find one or two to show Osu, but he couldn't see any of the V-shaped marks they made in the sand anywhere nearby.

Ieyasu grinned, nodding. Looking back over at the kids again, he noticed that it was getting a little later than he had realised. He had a fair bit of organising to do back at the house, now that Osu was a kid. Like arranging a proper bed, for a start.
"Ah... it's later than I thought." Sitting up, he rested his arms on his knees, musing. "We should really be heading back; I have a few things I'll need to sort out at the house now."
"...Sand.. cwabs?" Osusuki wondered what those were. Curiously, he began to dig through the sand in front of him, leaving a little pile of silt to the side of him. The tide didn't help his digging much though - as soon as he scooped some sand out of the hole, the water pushed it back in again. The little pile quickly vanished again.

"Aaaw. Well, it was nice to talk again. Perhaps we'll see each other at the festival soon." she said optimistically, smiling over at him. It really was nice to have someone to talk to, other than Keanu. Not that there was anything wrong with that, of course.
Keanu nodded. "Yeah, funny things that live in the sand." he said, smirking. Though....they didn't really look like normal crabs, though those were just as fun to chase about. His mother had a different name for them, but he couldn't remember what it was...

Ieyasu stood up, brushing the sand from his clothes. He turned to Kami and grinned. "Definitely. See you there!" Starting down the beach towards the kids, he shouted over to Osu. "Osu! Come on, we're heading home!"
Osu looked over at Ieyasu, the little Aerandir still up to his elbows in the sand. "Aww!" Pulling his arms out of the silt with a sucking sound, Osu looked at Keanu, his face a little disappointed. Pushing himself up to his feet, he took a moment to get his balance in the shifting sand before waving to his friend. "Bye bye!" Turning, he made his way up the beach to Ieyasu.
Ah, Osu was filthy from the looks of things. He was covered in damp sand, no doubt from sitting in the surf. That, and his arms were caked in it up to the elbows. He hadn't taken long to start making a mess again. Ieyasu shook his head in mild amusement. "Look at you. Covered in sand!" He grinned. "Not only are we gonna have to set up a bed for you, you'll need to have a bath now too." Reaching out, Ieyasu took the child's sandy hand. "You gonna walk back, or do you want a ride again."
"Walk!" was Osusuki's determined reply. He really wanted to get better at this, so he could run around and play with Keanu properly. He wanted to play games of tag again!
"Ok, ok" Ieyasu grinned. Slowing his pace to that of the kid's, the kitsune walked with Osu, heading away from the beach and back towards their house.

Kami smiled, and nodded. "Okay, have a nice evening!" she said, waving as he and Osu moved up and off the beach, giving another happy sigh.
Keanu was a bit disappointed as well, and he waved ith a muddy hand, rounded ears drooping slightly. "Bye-bye, Osu!" he said, got got up himself, tking a moment to rinse off as best he could. He knew he would probably be made to take a bath, too. Oh well. He watched Osu and Ieyasu disappear from view, hoping he would see his friend again soon.

The door to Ieyasu's house opened, and a little orange-furred Aerandir child burst through, heading down the path as fast as he could make his legs go without unceremoniously tripping. He had been practicing, and he was much better at this walking thing now! Although, he still couldn't run like Keanu could...
At the end of the path, he turned to see where his guardian was. Yasu always took so long!! "Yassu!! Yassu!!" he yelled, wanting his guardian to hurry. They were going somewhere new, afterall, and he was excited!
"Yeah, Osu, I'm coming. Just a sec." Ieyasu responded to the impatient kid, closing the door behind him. He was dressed in a simple blue yukata and geta sandals. It was a festival, afterall.
Heading down the path towards Osu, he grinned at the kid. "See, I don't take that long. Now, how you lead the way?"
"Yay! Yay yay!" Osu spun and headed away from Ieyasu towards the beach. He wondered how they would get to the festival. Ieyasu had said it was over the water. But the water was awfully wide....

In response to Fae's letter about copies of his journal entries, Kiro decided a trip from the Centre was in order to deliver them to her. In all honesty, Kiro had forgotten to copy the entries up as he was writing them, so he had spent an evening copying them up before setting off to her house. He and Tsukai left the centre with the small, tied up, bundle of paper under Kiro's elbow - unaware as he crossed the island that there would be nobody home to greet them. The house certainly seemed deserted when he got there, and there was no answer to his knocks on the door. He sighed, wondering where the occupants could be. He absently rested the paper against the wall and scribbled a note on the topmost piece of paper. Kiro's note Fae & Bobo, Sorry we missed you guys, but here's the journal entries you asked for Fae. If I've been vague with anything, I'm sure Bobo can fill you in, or I'd be happy to run through anything you'd like to elaborate on. Let me know if you need anything! ~ Kiro & Tsu Then, bending down, Kiro left the papers on Fae's doorstep before leaving. He rubbed at Tsukai's head gently with a finger as they made their way back to the Centre. "You'll see her again Tsu, we were just unlucky this time, okay?" "Peep..."

Syrenrei and the still-sullen-because-she's-intangible-Delta were outside getting some fresh air near the centre.Although Delta really didn't need the fresh air as much as her mother, Sy thought that perhaps being cooped up all day was just contributing to Delta's mood.
Flopping onto her back (once she was sure she wasn't on anyone's property) Sy stretched in the sand like a lazy cat. "You have to admit even just a change of view is nice."
Delta didn't nod or shake her head and instead just "sat" on the ground by letting her wispy tail curl underneath her like she was folding her legs.

A giggling Nehanda ran down the path to Delta's house, followed closely by Foenix. "Wait for me, hun!"
Nehanda was having too much fun running around, however. Foenix had insisted upon staying inside with lessons all morning. But now, the little girl had a very specific destination in mind. And she had a present! As they passed near the Centre, Nehanda stopped in her tracks. There was Syren herself. "Sywen! Hi!" she yelled. "Hi! Where's Dewta? I gots a sapwise for her!"
Getting closer, Foenix didn't recognize the woman, but she assumed this was the guardian of that gryphon Nehanda had played with at the festival. "Afternoon," she called out. "I'm Foenix. You must be Syren. Nehanda's told me a lot about you and your Delta."
Nehanda was very busy looking for Delta.
((Sorry this took me so long. I'd gone off to do a bit of packing.))

Syrenrei jumped up, a little startled as she snapped out of her reverie. Someone had heard something positive about Delta? ^_^ Her little girl was making friends! Beaming from ear to ear, she took Foenix's hand and shook it a bit enthusiastically.
"Yes yes, I am Syrenrei. I'm glad Delta's making friends... she's right he-..."
Syrenrei glanced around and after a moment noticed some rather ghostly horns poking out of the ground nearby. Seems that Delta was hiding in the earth... but had forgotten about some of her new attributes.
"Delta, come on out, it's Nehanda. I'm sure she remembers what it's like to be a wisp."
A head peaked out of the ground, half-glaring at her mother. Yes, but Delta had to keep up appearances! Why didn't she understand? ;_; After she saw Nehanda, however, Delta considered coming out of hiding. Not that she could play... but... she looked a bit silly hiding.

"Oh!" Nehanda looked a bit crestfallen. She'd really been looking forward to petting those beautiful, soft feathers again. And there was also that present she'd brought . . . "Hi, dere, Dewta! You get to be a kid wike me soon! Dat'll be wots of fun den." Deciding that talking to Delta was just as fun as petting her, the little girl plopped down and made ehrself comfortable next to the ephemeral head and horns. "I didn't weally wike being a wisp that much, though. It was neat going trough walls and stuff, but I wike to touch stuff, ya know?"
"Well, isn't that exciting?" Foenix didn't approach Delta, but gripped Syren's hand in a friendly manner. "From the looks of things, she's certainly going to be a lovely child. Has Aly given you a list of things to collect yet?"

"Yes, actually he has. Unfortunately... all I've gotten so far is the ring. I still need a piece of beaded cloth, a tassel, two square gems, a silver chain, and some tiny beads." ^^; The more she thought about it, the more she worried about being able to collect everything. And about Delta growing. Delta already was spending too much time in front of the mirror.
!! Delta looked at Nehanda and smiled. She knew exactly how she felt! Being a wisp was no fun at all...and she wasn't exactly as pretty or colorful either. Perhaps growing into a child would be worth it. If not, she could always attack that dumb Aly.

Foenix nodded in sympathy. "Gathering the items isn''t exactly an easy task, especially on a place like Cetalu. If we were back on the mainland, you could just run out to a shopping center and find everything within an hour. But here . . . you sort of have to throw yourself on the mercy of people."
"But still . . . It was really exciting when Nehanda transformed. She''s just so great! Even if she''s one of the most stubborn kids I''ve ever dealt with . . . and I''m not even gonna start on her attitude towards lessons these days . . ." She trailed off and grinned fondly over at her charge.
"Oooo, but I really wiked flying! You can just zip awound, and you don''t get weally tired!" Nehanda was just sort of rambling, when she heard Syren''s inventory of her list. A thought occured to her. Beaded cloth? That was sort of like what she''d been . . .
Jumping up, she ran over to Foenix. "But we gots cloff!! And it''s weally pwetty, and I picked it out just for Dewta. all by myseff!"
Foenix looked down at Nehanda, over at Delta, and back at Syren. "Actually, we do. Nehanda told me that Delta liked the ''cape'' that she was wearing at the festival. We were on our way over to your house, because she wanted to give Delta a cape of her own. And it dows have some beads on it . . ." She trailed off and began rooting around in her bag.

"Delta's always looking at my sister's magazine. I think she might be one of those unusual Aerandir that likes wearing lots of clothes... like a person might, if that makes any sense..." She trailed off as she watched Delta "jump" up out of the ground and eagerly "run" towards her friend. Although she didn't have legs, it looked like she was dancing around Nehanda, obviously excited.
Clothes, she could wear clothes and jewelry! She could be a REAL princess, the princess of Cetalu! Most princesses didn't wear capes, they wore dresses, but everyone had to start somewhere. Besides, a dress might be hard with wings. >_<

Foenix had to laugh. "She sounds like quite a handful. Nehanda there is the exact opposite; she couldn't care less about her appearance. Half the time, she's running around covered with dirt from her gardens. Maybe I'll get lucky and some of Delta's attitude will rub off on her. Ah! Here it is." Out of her bag, she pulled a folded length of fabric. "It's not much," she said half apologetically. "I sew, so I've got all sorts of fabric and stuff lying around. Nehanda thought Delta might like this one, with the blue and green beads." Bending, she gave it to Nehanda so that the little girl could display it to the wisp.
