Once Levi finally set her trainer back down again she looked over at Rosemary and grinned broadly, and soon the two Pokemon were sharing a laugh. Kasiya smiled at the two of them, deciding against calling them back for now. After all, they'd evolved within seconds of each other and she was sure that they would both like to enjoy it for a while. Riley had long gone, presumably to find the Pokemon Center facility to unfreeze his Cradily and heal his Octillery. Now that she'd calmed down some, Kasiya was able to actually check the two entries in her PokeDex. It still hadn't sunk in entirely, but every time she looked at the Swampert and Meganium, it definitely helped. Kasiya sat down on the chair she'd previously claimed before, carefully stowing her PokeDex in her bag. Levi positioned herself back in the small pool, which looked a lot smaller now that there was a fully grown Swampert sitting in it, while Rosemary situated herself in her former position next to Kasiya. The girl looked over at Serenity and grinned. "That was exciting," she said, leaning back in her chair. She could see that Sere seemed to be lost in thought as she watched Levi, and George was looking a little apprehensive of Rosemary. "You know," Kasiya said, inching a little closer to Serenity, "if you ever want someone to train with, you can ask me," she said, nodding. "I'd be happy to give you some advice or pointers or something, if I could." Though she was still largely unaware of her own prowess as a trainer, for the most part, Kasiya wanted to help others to grow stronger, too; her friends especially. She wasn't sure what her or Sere's, or anyone's, for that matter, plans were once the ship finally docked, but she knew she was growing more and more antsy with each knot the ship traveled. ((Anyone wishing to advance time to where the ship arrives in Canalave is advised to wrap up whatever they're doing so we can do so!))
=-=-=-=-= It took a few moments for Cynthia's train of thought to catch up with Dante's, though once she clued in she let out a knowing "ahh" and nodded. "I understand now. You see, I am very interested in Pokemon mythology and legends, and I've learned quite a lot over the years. A few years ago, evidence was uncovered showing a connection between the legendary Pokemon and a single human, though it seems it has been a very long time since they've chosen another liaison. They must have a lot of trust and faith in you." She noticed then that one of the trainers she'd met earlier, Jason, had decided to try his hand at fishing as well, and before long he'd fished up a Pokemon that none of the fishermen around seemed to be able to identify. The Sinnoh Champion smiled when Jason checked his PokeDex only to find that it had nothing on the aquatic creature he'd caught. It didn't take long for Jason's Magnemite to render it unconscious and Jason didn't hesitate for even a second to use his newly bought Net Ball to capture it for good. Once the ball had come to rest on the deck, Cynthia chose to speak up, walking over to the narcoleptic boy. "That's a feisty little Mantyke you've just caught yourself," she said. "Congratulations, that was nicely handled."

Nero smiled at the orange-haired girl, whose name he did not know yet. "Hi. My name's Nero. Nero Vestus. What's your name, miss?" He asked, and extended his hand for a handshake. Nero wondered just what could be done for now. He really wanted to get to training, but he had met a new person, and as such was quite curious to meet and greet them.
The red and white ball at his hip shook a little, vibrating a little. "Oh? That's weird... Hm..." Nero said to himself, and picked it from its resting place. "Do you want out, or something...?" he asked the pokéball, looking quizzically at it. "Come on, then... Clooney, come out at play!" He chuckled. "This is Clooney, my Meowth."

"Let's wrap this up with an Iron Tail," Jaeshan said, glancing quickly at his watch. He still wanted to get to Cerulean City before nightfall but he was starting to think it wasn't going to happen. Cerulean, Saffron, Celadon, Vermilion and Lavender were all within a few hours walk of each other, but Jaeshan wasn't sure he felt like rushing. Mightyena was more than happy to take advantage of the Ursaring and its paralyzed state, growling fiercely as he jumped up, tucking his body in and using the jump to turn, lashed out with his tail as it glowed with a steely hue. The hit was solid and Ursaring slumped over, out cold. Jaeshan smiled, having nearly forgotten what it was like having one of his strongest Pokemon with him, as he'd been focusing mostly on Blaziken, Metang and Shelgon as of late. Mightyena glanced over his shoulder and snarled loudly at Eliza as she recalled her Ursaring, sitting down on Jaeshan's right and clearly done with battling for now. "Good job," Jaeshan said, patting the canine on the head. "It's like you never even took a break." Mightyena looked up at his trainer, and nodded. Just because he hadn't been in the party for a while didn't mean he'd stop training and making himself stronger.
Jaeshan took a Pokeball from his belt and let it fly, revealing the patient-as-ever Shelgon. The Dragon looked over towards Mightyena and then back over at the human she was facing, not so much as even blinking as the redhead threw her own Pokeball, a smile on her face. Jaeshan looked quite surprised by the pile of brown fur that stood practically identical in height to Shelgon, and he would have marveled at the similar blank stare the Piloswine was giving right back at Shelgon only the thick, matted hair hid his beady little eyes. Wait, I know this Pokemon, the blonde thought, suddenly picturing Crenu's Swinub. That's right, Swinub evolves into Piloswine, so that means it's a Ground and Ice-type. We'd better be careful with this one. He looked to Shelgon and nodded, knowing that he wouldn't even have to tell her what he wanted her to do first. Shelgon made a few steps that were surprisingly quick due to her heavy, sluggish body, an indigo-coloured aura flaring up around her to signal a rise in her speed an attack once her Dragon Dance had been executed.
Eliza wasn't sure what move the Shelgon had just used but she was pretty sure that it was some sort of buffer. "Start off easy, Piloswine," she said confidently, knowing she had the advantage. "Powder Snow!" The fuzzy Pokemon shuffled forward and began to exhale a blast of frigid, snowy air at Shelgon. The dragon hunkered down, feeling the attack chill her to her very core, but she wasn't about to be put down by a measly little Powder Snow attack! Shelgon bounced up and down a bit on her feet and growled, eager to continue.
=-=-=-=-= As anticipated the journey by ship was proving to be incredibly boring, though Mai was able to pass quite a bit of the time by pretending to interview trainers. It wasn't all for fun though, as per Giovanni's orders they were still on the lookout for potential recruits. Many grunts had flat-out quit or just hadn't reported back after the Slateport incident, so their numbers were dwindling. For the most part, there hadn't really been any hopefuls on board the ship, but Mai was certain that Sinnoh would have its bad apples, just like Kanto, Johto and Hoenn had, and that their ranks would increase soon enough, especially after the new base in Sinnoh was established. Finally growing tired of her reporter persona Mai headed off to the room she'd claimed for some much needed rest. As she made her up the stairs she pulled the pins from her bun, which had been looking pretty disheveled as it is, and allowed her pale blonde hair to fall around her shoulders. Dealing with all those kids was tedious.
She passed by the room in which their redheaded prisoner was being kept and moved on to hers, which was located next door, but she paused before entering, her hand resting on the door handle. The last she'd heard, he was still subdued, but she knew he couldn't remain as such much longer. If we leave him too long, the others might get suspicious, she thought. Though it was against her better judgment she knew she had to do, and with a sigh she doubled back, knocking sharply on the door once. After a moment or so Jensen answered the door, the surprised look on his face enough to show that he hadn't expected to see Mai standing there. She didn't say anything, but dismissed him with a wave of her hand, and reluctantly he took his leave, casting a suspicious look at his superior as the door was shut behind him.
Once she was sure he was gone, Mai looked over to where the redhead was lying, wondering if he'd woken up at all. She glanced at the six Pokeballs lying on the bedside table and smirked. At one point it had been reported that two Treecko had gotten away from their trainers, one of them belonging to Keegan, and the other Kilik. I bet he has no idea, she thought, taking a small vial from her pocket. She'd received the Stun Spore antidote from Dana a while ago, as they both knew they couldn't just leave him up here. The antidote would take some time to kick in, so now would be a good time to administer it. She took the syringe Dana had provided as well and filled it with the antidote, and after tapping out the air bubbles she looked down at the unconscious young man and rolled up his sleeve before somewhat gently injecting it into his left bicep. "There, now don't say I've never done anything for you," she said, smiling at her own comment as she put everything away. "Oh, by the way," she added, continuing on as though he could hear her, "your Treecko got out." She looked back at him once more, smiling slightly before she exited the room and went back to her own for the night.

((Nero, Katie has orange hair. Mia's hair is blue... =P ))
Katie smiled a bit as her previous assumption was proven correct, but she didn't know what else to say after that. The green haired boy had now come out of the pokecenter as well. "Yes, we're fine," Katie nodded, leaving out the part about the tear in her skirt. "Nero," she repeated, shaking his hand a bit awkwardly, as she wasn't used to people being so forward with her. Unlike Mia Katie was a bit accustomed to being in the spotlight by now, as it was nearly an everyday thing with her mother. "Katie Maguire," she said, giving his hand a quick but firm shake and withdrawing her own quite quickly. From what she'd overheard previously in the center it seemed the two of them had been about do a bit of training. Even though Katie was eager to start her trip to Eterna City, she couldn't help but feel curious, wanting to see what kind of Pokemon Crasher Wake's daughter had besides her Floatzel, even more so as Nero's Meowth was let out of his pokeball. She smiled at the cat Pokemon. "Cute name." For a moment she considered letting out one of her own Pokemon as she was feeling a bit left out but decided against it. "You guys were going to do some training, weren't you?" she asked suddenly. "I really would like to watch, if you don't mind." She knew that she probably sounded a bit intrusive, but she didn't care. She knew it was important to scope out the potential of other trainers, especially those who probably had a knack for it, like the daughter of a gym leader.

"Well, I suppose we could have a battle!" Mia agreed, looking from Katie to Nero. She didn't mind having an on looker, this was a lot less pressure than going up against one of her father's trainers with an audience. Granted she hadn't been to the Pokemon Center since leaving Pastoria, though her Pokemon weren't in bad shape, only Scuttles had really been in an action packed battle against that Lopunny early in their journey. The blue haired girl made a mental note to go get her buddy healed. While he wasn't in critical condition, he wasn't in the best shape either, a quick rest would have probably done the job.
Clooney's meow had caught her attention. Mia gazed and the cat like creature, her eyes flashing with interest. Having spent her life surrounded by Pokemon and watching battles she'd picked up a skill her father required as a gym leader. He could quickly scope out his opponents, for the most part, accurately predicting, to some degree, the strength of the Pokemon. So, having watched, billions upon billions of battles Mia had picked up the same ability as well, though she was more faulty in her judgment. Either way, the Meowth, that's what it was called right?, looked to be fairly young. She'd make her choice accordingly.
"I suppose Jello could use a work out today," Mia mused, her hand up against her chin again, deep in thought. "Yeah. Jello. That's a good choice, C'mon out!" Grinning she threw her Safari Ball high into the air. Tangelo, or Jello for short, had been the second Pokemon she'd caught while out in the mucky Great Marsh, Scuttles being the first. She loved that place, with all it's mud and trees and water. The train system, she felt, ruined it a bit. Even technology was encroaching on the rainy town of Pastoria and it could not be stopped. But that's another story for some other time.
Right now it was time to battle! The mess of tangled vines appeared in a flash of crimson light, fading to reveal a Tangela. It shook it's vines, hopping up and down, making some rustling and odd, unidentifiable noises, "Yeeeeeeeeees Jello! You told me already!" Mia laughed, rolling her eyes, "I know Luxrays can see through walls when their eyes turn golden. Yes, yes! It's quite creepy. What? Whaat. . .No! That . . .noooo!" The girl shook her head. "That's just weird Jello. Weird. But anyways, we're in a battle here!"
Mia looked up to the two trainers, who were probably confused. How many trainers had arguments about strange Pokemon facts before a battle? Not many that she knew of anyways. "Sorry, Jello's kind of a weird-o," Mia said, her hand covering one side of her mouth as if it were a big secret. "She likes to tell me random facts all the time! But like I said, weird-oooooooo."
Yes, yes, I'm the weird one, Jello thought, rolling her big eyes. She would have to discuss it later with Scuttles, yes, good, old reliable Scuttles. Not needing any further instruction she took a battle stance, slight defensive. Shifting into place and manner, Mia did as well. She may be the goofy, klutzy daughter of Crasher Wake, but she could take a battle as seriously as the next guy. "Your move," she said lightly to Nero, already throwing her mind into the fray.

Ryhorn let out a loud cry as the Raticate sank it's teeth into his leg, causing him to jump back for a second freeing the pokemon's tail. That hurt a lot more than the last time he was bitten, Raticate was indeed stronger by a lot now. Ryhorn was hurt, he'd taken some good attacks and even he was getting tired. It was clear as he staggered a bit, but remained upright. "Good Ryhorn, but don't push yourself to hard ok? Think you've got another Rock Tomb in you?" Brock asked kindly, and the Spikes pokemon nodded. Slamming the ground with all he had in him he sent the attack out, the jagged rocks popping up out of the ground around Raticate to try and trap him as the name of the move implied.

Jason held his breath the whole time but when the ball lay there silently on the deck, the red light in it's center no longer blinking, he could help but to jump with excitement. Whatever this pokemon was, it was his now. Jason wasted no time in running up to the ball and scooping it up, holding the netball up to the light with a big grin. He almost didn't notice Cynthis since he was so caught up in his mind, but finally looked back down at her and walked over to the champion. "Hee hee hee, I know right? This little guy put up quite the fight. Thank you, I'm just lucky I had Zeus here with me or it might not have gone so smoothly." Tossing the ball up a few times as he thought about the pokemon, he finally came to a decision. "I'll call him Poseidon. Man this is so cool. But what did you say he was again? Mantyke? I've never heard of that pokemon before and neither has the dex. Ooo oo, tell me more about him please!" He sad enthusiastically as he simultaneously pulled out his pad and started sketching out Poseidon from memory.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++ "Oh ho ho ho, you disabled Fearow's Fly attack eh? Smart man, now he'll have to stay in range for the rest of the battle. Very nice, but that's alright. Fearow will have to make due with the rest of his moves, like say Pursuit. And Hitmonlee keep drilling away at Pupitar with another Double kick! We're not done yet folks!" Ken grinned at Crenu and watched as Hitmonlee and Fearow jumped into action. Fearow took on a dark aura as he suddenly rushed at Froslass for a hard hitting dark type move while Hitmonlee attempted an equally super effective attack on Pupitar with his Double Kick. Crenu wasn't going to make conversation with Ken right now, and instead just watched as his team went on the offensive. Both those moves would hurt like hell if they hit their mark, and Crenu wasn't keen on letting that happen against Ken. But luckily this was a double battle, and he had two pokemon on his team that could cover for each other rather nicely. "Switch." He said plainly. Froslass didn't seem to quite get it at first, but Pupitar immediately propelled himself sideways to where Froslass and her one copy remained. She got the message when she saw this and did the same, blinking in and out of the visible spectrum as she quickly moved and appeared where Pupitar hovered before. Hitmonlee's kicks hit Froslass's body, or at least appeared to at first, but ended up passing right through her causing no damage at all. Fearow's attack didn't pass through Pupitar, but it might as well have as the bird just seemed to bounce off of Pupitar's rock body causing minimal damage. "You made a mistake using Hitmonlee, Ken. Not sure what you had in mind but it doesn't really matter now." Crenu took a moment to look over to Riza's training with her brother, only to see that Eris was no longer the cute little Cyndaquil that sat on his lap during the gym battle. Instead she had evolved into a strong looking Quilava, very nice indeed. Riza appeared to be doing rather well, and he was impressed. Ken was also watching and was happy for the two, Riza and Eris must have been so happy that she evolved, but his attention was still on the battle. "Oh no Shiro, don't tell me you've already lost your edge. You shouldn't be making googly eyes at your sweetie during a battle. Boys?" Ken said rather lightly. Hitmonlee and Fearow moved in instantly, Fearow rushing at Froslass rapidly, coming in low and vanishing for a mighty Aerial Ace while Hitmonlee jumped over to Pupitar with a glowing heel and coming down with a crushing Brick Break. Both pokemon were helpless at the moment, and got his hard. Fearow appeared again and slammed into Froslass causing her to fall tumbling over while Pupitar had enough sense to try and move but he wasn't quick enough. The Brick Break hit him hard and he felt like he was rattling inside his hard shell with sharp pain radiating from the impact spot. Both pokemon took a moment to recover, and Crenu watched with gritted teeth. Damn, Ken was right he let himself get distracted. That was very foolish, and Crenu wasn't going to let that happen again. "Rock Slide once more and Icy Wind let's go! Both on Fearow!"

The redhead was still very much unaware of his philandering Treecko's vanishing act, as he had yet to escape his dreamland prison. Most of his dreams he either didn't remember or were quite disturbing to the point where he wished he could forget them, but at the moment, he really couldn't complain. The setting of his current dreamscape was the same dull, dreary room he'd grown very familiar with, but this time he had company, and of the best kind. Somehow, Kasiya had miraculously discovered the room he was being held captive in, and while he wouldn't quite say that she had rescued him, she was definitely making his stay more comfortable. At present, she was lying beside him, eyes closed as he gently caressed her cheek with his hand. "Now this is the way to travel," he whispered as he leaned in and kissed her.
"I totally agree," she whispered back, happy to return his kiss. He could feel her heart racing, and he was sure the temperature of the room had just increased. She pulled him closer to her, and he held her a little tighter, feeling his own pulse quickening.
"Honestly, would you two knock it off already? We are supposed to be working 'ere," came a very familiar and French-accented voice belonging to the voluptuous Sasha, who'd entered the room unnoticed until now. Keegan reluctantly pried himself away from Kasiya to look at the pink-haired girl, unable to stop himself from staring when he saw that she was wearing what looked to be a nurse's uniform (though Sasha had apparently taken some liberties with its design). She waggled her finger at the two of them, an impish little grin set in her fine features. "Come on, we can play later, but right now we have a job to do."
"Yes, I suppose you're right," Kasiya sighed, getting up off the bed. She too was dressed like a nurse, though surprisingly, her outfit was hardly any more modest than Sasha's was. The two stood side-by-side, both looking at the redhead with (obviously fake) innocent smiles. "We'll start the procedure as soon as the rest of the team arrives," Kasiya said, doing her best to look professional.
"Procedure?" Keegan repeated, looking around the room as it had shifted from the cabin on the ship to some sort of exam room, and instead of the bed he was now lying on a gurney. At the same time, both girls stepped forward and strapped his arms and legs down, each wearing identical and somewhat creepy smiles the entire time. "What procedure?" he asked again, looking imploringly up at Kasiya as she tightened the restraints on his arms. She put a finger gently against his lips and shushed him. Keegan wasn't sure if he was more scared by the fact that he had no idea what was going on, or the unreadable expressions on Kasiya's and Sasha's faces. ===== Oh no you don't, Miharu thought, a command already on her lips. "Aerial Ace!" she shouted, feeling the blood pounding in her ears. For once, Tingle really seemed to be into the battle as it hadn't hesitated in the slightest before rushing forward, intending to meet Primeape head on. The bloodlust was apparent in the Pig Monkey Pokemon's eyes as it raced toward Tingle, screeching furiously. The two Pokemon launched themselves at each other, both fully intending to take down the other once and for all with this attack. It was hard to watch as the two clashed in the dead center of the battlefield, fists and claws flying. It would seem that Tingle would come out on top this time, however, as the white puffball that was Primeape slouched over, unable to muster enough energy to stand, let alone fight. Miharu breathed a sigh of relief as for a moment, no matter how short it might be, she was ahead.
Even as his wife declared his Primeape defeated Chuck had sank to his knees once more, fist clenched tightly over his bare chest. "You fought well, Primeape," he said, trying to hold back his tears as the Pokemon was returned to its Pokeball, "and I'm proud! But now!" The gym leader jumped up to his feet, and stomped the ground, already flinging his next Pokeball as he shouted. "It's time to step it up! Poliwrath, your turn! Go!"
The Tadpole Pokemon appeared on the field, looking calm and collected, which was in stark contrast to his trainer. He eyed his floating opponent, deciding that it looked like a good enough foe and he got into an offensive stance, his wide, round eyes fixed intently on Tingle. "Bubblebeam!" Chuck roared, and the Tadpole stepped forward, holding up both hands to form an 'O' before he released the stream of bubbles at his target.

A small smile twitched at the edge of her lips as she watched her newly evolved Raticate chomp down on his opponent once again, and if he could last a little bit into the next battle as well then she had her hopes up that she just might finally get her first badge. Though the excitement was starting to get to her, Train kept her eyes on her Pokémon and told Raticate once again to try and dodge the attack.
Unfortunately, Raticate’s tail hurt awfully bad, and as it turned to move, its tail scraped against the ground and sent a pain shooting through it, causing the Pokémon to let out a squeak and stop, holding its poor tail off the ground. He looked up suddenly and realized that there was a lot less light than there used to be, and now he was trapped in between some giant rocks.
”Oh no, Raticate!” Train groaned. This had been going so well, too!+=+=+=+ ” Zigzagoon, use your Tackle attack!” Calvin commanded his little Tinyracoon Pokémon, who complied rather quickly and attempted to, well, tackle Leon’s Gastly.
Leon breathed a tiny sigh out through his nose. As he’d been seeing his entire trip so far, the Pokémon landed with a surprised thud on the ground on the other side of Ghos, slightly dazed for a moment before turning around and realizing it hadn’t done the slightest thing to Ghos, except maybe amuse or annoy him.
”Huh…?” Calvin muttered, utterly confused as to why his Pokémon’s attack hadn’t done anything.
”My Gastly is a Ghost-type,” Leon explained, sounding bored. You’re your Zigzagoon is a Normal-type, which doesn’t effect Ghost-types. Ghos, use Lick,” He then commanded simply, and Ghos happily turned to face Calvin’s Pokémon and give it a rough lick on the side of its face, knocking it over as well. The attack didn’t seem to be having very much luck with the paralysis effect though and Zigzagoon hopped to its feet and glared angrily at Ghos.

Listening to the beautiful champions explanation Dante couldn't help but smile a little. Well if she knew what he was then he wouldn't have to explain it to someone who probably wouldn't understand. He had tried to tell his mom but she hadn't either listened or cared. She loved her son and just wanted him happy no matter what he was doing. Sighing he watched Jason pull up a water pokemon that Dante only knew the name of because he had flipped through his updated pokedex the other night. Hmm, if he was going to be heading to the new region maybe he better study up some more. He didn't have the advantage of traveling around with his mom anymore since these were all new pokemon. Quickly congratulating Jason and saying his goodbyes Dante headed down to the deck with all the bedroom and quickly snagging one he settled down on top of it. By his side Hera sat down at the end of the bed and watched the door for anyone else who might come in while her trainer fished around for his pokedex. The two of them would spend the rest of the trip with Dante going through the new pokedex carefully studying each of the entries and checking up on some updates for the older entries, and Hera watching the door and doing a few exercises on the floor.

Sere thought about Kasiya's offer for a moment. 'Someone else to train with? That could be far less scary then normal trainer battles. Maybe I might actually get some confidence then.' Though the more she thought about it the more she realised it wasn't the training she didn't have any confidence in really, it was the talking to other trainers.
"I would love to take you up on that offer. Hopefully once we get off this boat we can find some time to take advantage of that." Serenity said with a smile. She let George go off and play with Levi for a bit while she laid back on one of the chairs. "Right now though, I want to rest for a bit. The last few days have been too much and this boat ride is exactly what I need to get my mind off everything."
She got herself into a comfortable position, careful not to jar her shoulder too much, which was still sadly, just a bit tender. Sere spent the rest of the day in that seat by the pool watching as the other people played and swam. She found it oddly relaxing to be able to just there and observe people. Everyone seemed, for the most part to be enjoying the trip. Probably the excitement of going to a new area and being able to meet new pokemon and new trainers.
Serenity didn't move from her spot until the sun started to set. Only then did she collect George, say good night to Kasiya, with a promise to meet up in the morning, or at least when they made landfall, and walked to the railing. George stood particularly close to her, almost hugging her leg, as the two of them watched the sun set. The reds and oranges seemed to melted into the water as the sun got closer to the horizon. She got butterflies in her stomach as she thought about the fact that when she woke up tomorrow she would be in a completely different place, far from home. 'Here goes nothing.' She thought as she led her pokemon to their bunk for the night.

Sam groaned again. But she was not ready to recall Star yet, not until Star was ready. And since Star was still up and growling, she wasn't worried.
"Star..." She paused. She did not know what to do, so she decided to just sit back and let Star do her thing. Until her pokedex beeped. Usually, that meant good news. So she brought it out, checking the update, periodically looking Gina to actually launch her attack. The Gible was tired, and taking a rather long time to prepare her attack. Star, whether from mercy or, as Sam believed, simply showing she was superior, slouched, with her fins crossed across her chest, a smirk on her face. Sam glanced at the pokedex. Hey, Star had learned a new move. "Star, use Foresight!" She didn't know what she expected, but when Star's eyes glowed red and basically shot non-damaging lasers, Sam put away the dex in disgust. What the hell was that? Suddenly Star was enveloped in the Sand Tomb.
"Sam! What were you thinking?! Now I'm trapped!" Star was angry with her.
"Well, do you know what Foresight does?"
"No! I don't! Well not really! I know I basically won't miss when I try to hit that little shark thing!" Sam blinked a few times.
"That's a good thing Star! Now she can't evade you like normal! Star use Water Gun! Powerful as you can, so it'll make it through the tomb!" Star shrugged, nodded, then gathered her most powerful blast, her ability kicking in, making the jet stream glow. As she launched it, her eyes flashed red again, the lasers landing on the Gible's body for a brief second, before it was bowled over by a gigantic jet of water. Kya bowed her head, and smiled.
"I think that is enough," she said smiling. She recalled Gina, who was weakly protesting. Sam recalled Star as well, knowing that last move had really taken it out of her. "But...do you have another pokemon? Because I do, and I would love to continue! I mean, winning 1 out of 3 wouldn't be bad since you beat me on the boat as well." Sam grinned wolfishly, then nodded happily.
"You know what? I'll take you up on that! Look at me, battling!" She laughed loudly, then retrieved Miles' pokeball. The dex beeped once again, and she scanned the entry. "Huh, he learned Seismic Toss." Kya shrugged again.
"I wish you luck getting through this one though." She released her next pokemon, and Sam groaned inwardly. A Shuckle? She wanted to bang her head against a wall. She'd seen Chuck battle some of these, and there was a person on Cianwood who used to have one. These pokemon were freaking steel walls. But...she looked at the special note below the Seismic Toss entry. She smiled. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad.

The snow tree looked like it was preparing another move, and and Eztli didn't know what to do until Xipil woke up, unless she recalled Xipil and brought out Zolin. But something told her that wasn't a good idea because she knew she had the type advantage here. She was just wondering where the pokemon had come from again, when she saw a moving shadow. 'What was that?' she thought as she frowned. She concentrated, and saw a figure in the shadows of the clearing, blending in with the trees. 'He must be this pokemon's trainer! That would only make sense since this is obviously a Sinnoh pokemon.' She turned her attention back to the battle as Xipil stirred in her sleep, then slowly awoke, though not fast enough to avoid Ice attack.
"Maaaaggggbyyyy...." Xipil yawned, sitting up slowly, and flinching slightly as each ice shard hit her. Luckily, since she was awake now, she could control her body temperature so it melted each as it hit her, thus mitigating the damage. But she seemed rather slowed by the cold, though not enough to be caught by the other pokemon.
"Good, Xipil, now use Ember por favor," Eztli called loudly. Xipil nodded, sighing, then she breathed several little fireballs that she launched towards the snow pokemon. Some of the hail that was still falling punched right through the flames, but enough hit the pokemon for it to cry out loudly in pain. Apparently Eztli had been right about it being at least either Grass or Ice, as the attack certainly seemed super-effective. The snow pokemon looked angry, and suddenly it glowed red all over, crossing it's arms, and sticking it's head in the air, exuding an aura of superiority. Xipil growled loudly, inflating her body to make herself look tougher, but at the same time her eyes took on the same eerie red glow, and she tottered around, confused. "Was...that...Swagger?" Eztli was not entirely sure, as she had never seen it actually used, but she knew it's effects. If she was right, Xipil was a whole lot stronger now, but she would be confused for awhile. The snow tree pokemon giggled lightly, then quickly glanced back to the figure in the trees. It nodded silently, and then the melodious tune filled the air again. Xipil fell over in confusion, then fell fast asleep. Eztli groaned deeply, as this was certainly turning out to be a difficult fight. Although, there was still a ray of hope. Maybe the sleep would wear off quickly, and the confusion even quicker. When that happened, she would have to hammer the pokemon quickly and decisively before it could inflict another status ailment.

Nero looked to Clooney, and grinned, hoping that he'd be happy with a battle, and also that Clooney wouldn't scratch him too much.. "Alright, buddy. I know you and I don't really get along yet... But let's have some fun, buddy!" he said, a slight smirk to his voice. Yea... Well, I am kinda antsy to release some pent up anger... Clooney said, eyeing his target, a greenish ball of weeds... To the catscratch pokémon Jello looked like a large scratching post. "Alright, Clooney... Let's start this off with a Tailwhip!" Nero suggested, pointing at the Tangela.
Clooney eyed his opponent, and got low to the ground, as though he were readying a pounce. As he watched from a distance, his eyes narrowed, and his mouth opened, just slightly, and a hissing, growling noise came from him. Sounding as ferocious and intimidating as he could muster, Clooney peered over at the Tangela known as Jello. "Mmm....Prraaaoo...." it hissed, ready for anything, atleast that's what his mind thought.

Jaden looked at his sister and smiled, knowing that she was still a little rattled from Eris' unruly behavior beforehand. He was sure this was a trait that most fire-type Pokemon had, as after Flareon had evolved he'd acted very similar. He thanked Heracross and Flareon and recalled them both, and looked back to Riza again. "Wanna keep training?" he asked. "I'm up for it if you are." He'd selected a different pokeball and was holding it up, grinning.
Riza looked towards the red and white sphere her brother held up, and took a deep breath. He'd always been good at calming her down, and making her feel better, even if he didn't really say anything. "You bet," she said, holding up a pokeball of her own. She smiled at the sphere before she flung it, revealing her Kirlia, Yula. At first, Yula looked to be a little apprehensive as she looked back at Riza, but after a moment or two her trainer's emotions seemed to even out a bit and the Kirlia nodded happily, twirling around gracefully before she turned to face Jaden.
He wasn't surprised to see the Kirlia come out next, as he'd been sure Riza would save her Sneasel for last. He watched the psychic-type dancing happily on the spot for a moment or two before he sent out his own psychic-type Pokemon, Slowbro. The dopey Pokemon scratched his tummy and yawned. Apparently he'd been napping inside his pokeball, and judging by the fact that his eyes were still half-closed he hadn't realized that he'd been let out yet. "You first, Riza," Jaden called out, knowing that Slowbro would need a few minutes to wake up.
Riza looked toward her Pokemon again. "Double team," she said without hesitation, very sure that the dim witted Pokemon would have trouble dealing with more than one opponent. Yula knew exactly why her trainer had ordered this move as well and she spun around once more, executing a perfect pirouette followed by a graceful bow, and she vanished from the spot, appearing in five separate locations once more around Slowbro. 'Let's see him deal with that,' Riza thought confidently. * * * * * Glad to see that her presence would not interfere with Mia and Nero's battle, Katie stepped back, finding a good place to sit down and watch. She was a little surprised when she saw the vine covered Tangela emerge, and looked quickly towards Nero and his Meowth to see how they'd react to it. The cat Pokemon seemed confident enough, but if she had to put a bet down, Katie would have put her money on Mia. She looked at the Tangela again, tilting her head to the side. 'She named it Jello? Definitely odd,' she thought, though the little exchange was somewhat amusing. The Tangela looked a little exasperated as it shifted into battle mode. Katie thought about checking her Pokedex but changed her mind, and instead set her bag down and opened it. Now would be a good time to repair that little tear, as she knew it would be best to deal with it before it would have a chance to get worse and possibly ruin the skirt and thus the outfit all together. After all she'd helped design this one herself so she knew exactly how to fix it. Since she was traveling her sewing kit was lighter than normal and she already knew that she wouldn't have the exact colour of thread she'd want, but she would make due with the closest one. After all if she was going to be more of a trainer and less into fashion then she would have to focus more on her training.
After assessing the damage once more she released Genki from his pokeball. The Monferno had a lot of experience in helping his trainer with this kind of thing, though he hadn't helped her since well before his evolution from a Chimchar. The two began their work, both keeping their eyes on the Meowth and Tangela. 'This will be interesting,' Katie thought.

Tangelo's defensive stance immediately changed in accordance to Mia's commands. If they, Nero and Clooney that is, weren't going to hit hard first the Mia and Jello would have to. Mia fought fairly aggressively like her father, though with Jello it would be a bit difficult with her current move-set. They weren't exactly at the level where the big guns were going to start coming out. For now a simple, probably predictable, attack would have to do. "Vine Whip!" Mia shouted, a wild grin plastered on her face.
Without looking back Jello launched her attack. Two vines short forth with more precision that one would imagine from a tangle of dark blue-green vines could muster. She wasn't a fool or dull, as her eccentricities would have others believe. Tangelo was a smart one, and her attacks struck with bulls-eye accuracy. Both vines split from one another, no longer parallel, but angled as if they were going to hit the Catscratch Pokemon from both sides, left and right.
