'Pongo' tooks Seth's offered hand and nodded. "Thanks," he said nonchalantly, "I've never been good with direction. So, if Salazar here hadn't found me, I'd probably still be lost." Bones chuckled, scanning the hallway. "Wow. I'd bet anything that this place is one of those cliched castles. You know, it has the dungeon and the library? Come on, I'll seriously bet twenty bucks there's a library."

Seth nodded. "Big one too. All sorts of books and what not. Right upstairs and a few doors down." He turned to Salazar. "I can see this one is a book junkie. Never enough of them around here. Anyways I need to get back to Lily and them. You give him the tour alright man?"
"Got it." Salazar replied with a smile. "Oh and when you see Sam tell her that she should go out and clear her head more often. Keeps the mind fresh."
"Will do, talk to you later Sal." Seth said walking back where he had come from.
Salazar waited until he was completely out of sight before he sighed and said. "Upstairs then?"

Kirai returned home from the hunt, sensing Salazar and another person in the castle. Turning quickly around a corner, Kirai stood in the darkness, looking directly at Salazar and Bones. She was about to kindly greet them when she noticed the book. No... How did I figure as such. Stepping slowly out of the shadows into the partial light of a dieing torch, she outstretched her hand and long, pale, velvet-clad arm towards them without hesitation, and said in a very cold and unmoving voice, "Hand me the book, Salazar... I don't fare well with theives or liars." You could see her lips had fresh blood on them, and everything about her appearence seemed more radiant, more beautiful, more sharp, more deadly.

Bones looked between Kirai and Salazar. Then, rather reluctantly, handed the book to Salazar. "Go on," he said, slipping his hands into his pockets, "give it back." Avarice had specifically requested they avoid confrontation. This certainly looked like a confrontation. "We'll leave."

Salazar sighed. "You know under normal circumstance I would apologize for my actions here tonight. But I won't...I've delt with your s**t for too long Kirai." He handed her the book and glared at her "Go to hell." He said as he started down the hall.

"M'am." Bones nodded, turning quickly to follow after Salazar. Catching up to Sal, he patted him on the shoulder and said, "Hey, don't worry, mission wasn't a complete failure." Bones grinned, his mismatched eyes reflecting his mirth.

"I was hoping not. What did you get mate?" Salazar said smirking at Bones. His pace was quick and nervous as he talked. The mission was already going to hell and he couldn't afford for get worse. Plus he didn't know how Kirai would react to that last comment.

"Nothing, Sal. Absolutely nothing." Bones said, slipping through the front door. "That book was old. Really old. Wouldn't surprise anyone if a few pages had fallen out, right?" Bones brushed his finger along the charm Rave had given him. It warded off death. Well, he figured they'd better haul a** before death, being Kirai, found them. Taking off, he said, "You think Avarice is back at The Hunting Grounds yet?"

"Hmm not sure. But we might as well head on over there anyway." Salazar said walking at a calmer pace now. "You lead the way?"

((I probably should have told someone I was leaving!)) "Hi Tessa." Lily blinked a few times, realizing she had blanked out. At least she wasn't tired anymore. "Sorry about that."

Kirai held the book in her hands. I'm sure if you got your way, Salazar... there would be no hell for me. Walking down the hall into a large living room with a fireplace ablaze, she stared into the flames. Holding the book against her chest, she rolled up her sleeve and stuck her hand and arm into the flame, not burning. But paper will burn. Kirai had always had a fantasy about leading an enemy, or a victim, of hers into flames. And as they burned to death, the only concern of hers would be oxygen. This was almost romance to her... she stood up, deciding not to burn the book. Next time they will return, they will lead Edward and Phantom to Avarice. And this book will lead them to me. With that thought, Kirai moved over, and sitting in a chair, watched the flames dance about, her own shadow dancing across the room in the uneven light.

"Alright," Bones replied, "I'll take you there." Looking over his shoulder, he took Vaclav Castle in once more before leaving. He'd ripped out the pages Avarice required. So, overall, he saw the mission as successful.

"Actually wait. Tell Avarice I'll be there as soon as possible. I got a bit of business I need to take care of." Salazar said as he started to walk away from him. "Oh and make sure you mention the bit about my cover being blown." He continued as he started to fade into the distance.

KaylaXXxxXXxxXX ((I probably should have told someone I was leaving!)) "Hi Tessa." Lily blinked a few times, realizing she had blanked out. At least she wasn't tired anymore. "Sorry about that." Seth returned to the room after his meeting with Salazar. Still unaware that he had left or that he had switched sides. "Hey Lily, good to see you awake again." Seth said with a smile. "Sal just got back. He's upstairs in the library with this new guy. So while he's doing that how about you and I go meet with Kirai?"

Kirai, after about 30 minutes, out of boredom, decided to flip through the pages. Pausing, she found several of them missing. These pages were not ripped out before... Her expression not changing, she tossed the book into the fire. Watching it burn, every flame and flicker reflecting in her eyes as though they were a mirror, she again thought of leading an enemy into flames to die. Standing up, Kirai had several plans forming in her mind.... if she would actually act upon any of them, she did not yet know. If I can kill them, I can bring them back... If I can bring them back, I can control them. And if I can't kill them, I can get someone else to do it for me. Walking out, she moved quickly through the castle, past the windows shining in moonlight, the cold stone hallways, the paintings on the walls. Reaching Edward's door, she nocked. "While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping... as of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door. My apologies for disturbing you so late, however, please Edward, wake up."
