An oversized cloud hovered across the sky, bringing immeasurable shade. Just as the slight darkness passed, Minoru stepped onto tiled flooring. He whipped his hair back to reveal his shallow expression. "I can do this. This 'aint no big deal," The self-counseling was encouraging him not to fret about any mistakes. "I just gotta get this over with, but with who?" Minoru took another glance out on the area seeing tons of soul reapers doing their business. After a deep breath, He walked forward awaiting an opponent.

Kenshi walks on to the field, determined to get some training in. Do to over studying, he hasn't been training like would like to.
Okay...I want to train and thats what i'm going to do...
Kenshi put his hand above his eyes, trying to scope out the area. Anyone who wasn't doing solo training or had a sparring partner already. He then spots a guy just standing there.
"Hey maybe I can train with him. Let's find out!
Kenshi walks up to the guy to ask him.
"Hey...do you have a training partner? If you don't, why don't we train together?!
Kenshi smiles awaiting his response.

As the stranger smiled, Minoru gave a serious glare. He studied his apparel and bulk to see if he is able to find a weakness in him. "Fine, we can spar." He turned on his right toe facing the stranger while gripping tightly on soul slayer from across the back of his waist. "We can get to the greetings afterwards. I feel like I don't have that much time left." Even though he talks straight-forward like normal, to others his tone would seem like he was talking down on Kenshi. "Gear up, man." Minoru's hand slid the handle outwards as five seven inches of steel has already arisen out it's casing".

The lush green field riddled with trees and discarded shards of weapons, blood tipped the grass in some areas.
The night was starting to grow on the Sereitei, the young soul reaper stepped on to the field, sitting in a meditation stated in the middle of the field with his Zanpakuto resting on his lap. Feeling his spiritual pressure flowing through his body he sat there focusing his power, when Neko his feline friend jumped on to his head, breaking his concentration.
"Gah! Neko! Please don't startle me while I am meditating." The childish voice of Tsubaki left his lips as the cat tilted his head and laid coyly next to him.

In the middle of the night, Minoru slashed and jabbed constantly at tree. The desertion and silence in the area seemed to startled his nerves. Throughout the training, he practice a flow of his fists and blade. Minoru focused his incoming slashes to the tree's sides while forward kicks laid impact on the middle. Even though it looks like he was wasting time on beating the tree, he was actually releasing his muscles into motion. Time away from working out put his muscles to cramping. If no one would train with him, he would find his own time.

The wind was blowing calmly in the Sereitei, it was another glorious day to train.
As Tsubaki rose to his feet he stared at a tree, it's leaves playfully flowing in the wind, he held up his hands in a karate chop type of form aimed at the tree. "Train the mind, Train the Body, Train the blade." Tsubaki thought to himself.
Moments before charging towards the tree his cat jumped from his shoulder on to a small rock. Tsubaki sprinted in full force, hitting the tree with the back side of his left hand, dropping to the ground immediately catching himself with his right, kicking the tree with full force. Incorporating a spinning double back flip and landing on his knee he turned his attention back to his target.
The tree's bark had all fallen off from the contact points and the core itself was beginning to splinter. Rushing towards the tree once more he vertically ran up the tree kicking it as hard as his legs would allow before spinning horizontally and rolling into a summer salt. The tree began to split in to two at the contact points.
Tsubaki brought his hands back up in a prayer like form, shutting his eyes peacefully he reopened them, and lowly muttered. "Flash." His goal was to attain the flash step as soon as possible, even though it was not mastered his sheer speed pushed his body with such a great force that his final punch at the tree split it clearly in half.
Pulling out a slew of bandages from the sleeves of his robe he began to wrap up his knuckles, for the bruises and cuts were starting to become bothersome. Neko his furry friends looked up at him and meowed slyly, before jumping onto his back. "No neko, I am not ready to unleash my shikai, I must meditate once more. Mind, Body, Sword. In that order Neko, if they are not all linked then I will never have the utmost control." It was strange for him to be explaining his training to a cat, but that was his only friend.
Sitting down on the left over tree stump that he had split in half, he crossed his arms, brought his leg up onto his knee and lowered his head. It appeared to any normal soul reaper that he was sleeping, but Tsubaki was full aware of his surroundings.

Ok so my Kidō training didn't turn out so well.....I'm better with swords and hand to hand anyways.
He pulls out his Zanpakutō and readies to cut down the training dummies in front of him.
This would be so easier if I had someone to train with but being a complete newbie to the soul society its not shocking i don't. Oh well no reason to get down about it.
He starts to charge at the dummies as if he would an enemy. He slices upwards on the first and jumps around towards the second stabbing it where the straw foes heart would have been. He places his hands on the seconds shoulders and kicks up into the thirds "face" and quickly pulls his sword out and lands on the ground to slice at the legs of both the third and fourth.
Not bad..... it took me a little more time than last time though. Of course I added in the heart stab instead of a slash to the neck. But still I need to get it down to the same time either way.

Aislinn entered the training grounds with the usual jaunty bounce to her step. Today, in theory, was the day she'd finally get her very own zanpakuto. No more practice swords, bokken, or shinai, but the real, honest-to-goodness, genuine article. The thought made her both excited and nervous. What would her blade look like? She knew the theory behind a shinigami's zanpakuto, knew that the blade's shape and designs would give clues as to the wielder's eventual power. What would her reveal to her? She had come out of basic shinigami training with the rudimentary knowledge of most low-level kido as well as elementary swordplay.
Swordplay was both her favorite aspect and most dreaded activity. Once upon a time she had been a fencer. A good fencer, if she was being honest with herself. The habits of fencing epee died hard on the practice courts. She'd certainly mastered the use of the bokken and the shinai during basic training, but she knew her form and style was tempered by her experience with the smaller, one-handed epee. It drove her instructors to distraction and was a source of personal irritation, but it also allowed her to take her opponents by surprise. None of her thoroughly Japanese year mates who had been well-versed in classic Japanese swordplay could quite keep up with her fusion of fencing and kendo.
Ash forced herself to focus on the task at hand: her zanpakuto. Hopefully it'd be a form with which she was familiar. She rather dreaded manifesting and complicated blade like a glaive.

Wind swept into the area, creating a low rising small storm of dust below the sky as a figure in the usual shinigami uniform was arriving into the training area. However the person had a strange hood on that was over his head and flowed outward as it was a sleeveless robe behind him and a shade covered his face as he also had strange belts on his arms to tighten the space and had the belts stick out as if extending outward. The person wore two swords around his waist, but only one was his zanpakuto, the figure then vanished as if he disappeared in a moment as the person was now behind Aislinn. "Shunpo, the most effective speed technique known to shinigami, but only allowed to those who can learn it." The person thought as he then walked to the person.
"Hello, waiting for me?" The hooded figure asked as he folded his arms waiting for the reply at the apparent giddy girl ready for her zanpakuto. "You seem very happy, guess people always are happy the day they make their special sword for themselves." He said as he smiled under the hood which he took off to reveal a young man's face with a mess of straight black and purple hair which he was now looking at her.

"I suppose I am," Aislinn swung around to face the man who had addressed her, working to arrange her face so that the jealousy at his mastery of shunpo didn't show. He was likely just showing off a bit of his skill as a teaser, a taste of the powers she could achieve. If she tried hard enough.
"Waiting for you, I mean," She continued, matching his stance, arms folded and a calculating look written in her face. Her luminous blue eyes flashed playfully, though. "I'm Aislinn," She told him. "And what'll your name be?"
(sidenotes! Her name is pronounced Ash-ling. She's Irish and has the accent and according lilt to her voice))

"Aislinn, interesting name.. My name is Kasen Tsuin, or just Kasen." The person said bowing a bit as if waving an imaginary top hat. He then looked at her with his dark near-black eyes as he simply said ,"Ready to get your zanpakuto?" The person then shifted his hands to his side trying not to look serious while keeping a cool demeanor to the girl as he didn't like making any emotional outburst unless needed. He looked at the girl with a stare that showed a icy glare while mixed with a warm smile making a strange paradox of feeling to people who tried to encrypt his personality.

"Sure, but you can call me Ash, Kasen," Aislinn lilted with a quick smile. Hardly bothering to mention that his name sounded just as odd to her as her seemed to him. "Now, about that zanpakuto. I'm ready when you are,"
And she was ready. Her blood was up, and she could feel it. The rush of adrenaline sharpened her focus and her blue eyes took on a harder quality. It was like the anticipation before a fencing match. Aislinn became intensely focused, and her world narrowed to include only herself, her opponent, and their crossed blades. The feeling was not unlike that which she felt now.
