He blinked, "But I don't understand....why?" Not that he was really opposed to the idea...in fact some of the things she was envisioning as he touched her mind made him feel strange, excited...almost weak kneed.

"I just see myself as I always have..." he said quietly. He been a disappointment at birth and since then he'd done all in his power to make up for that even if his mother and brother didn't see him that way.

Callista's heart was breaking at what he thought of himself. She covered the distance between them and hugged him. "Valzar...that's not what you are to me. I don't think you're a disappointment. No one should. Please, look through my eyes."
