The boy's eyes stayed quite unreadable; he seemed not to have heard Moria speak at all. Inwardly, he shook his head. Terrain didn't matter to Sheikah, with the obvious exception of inside Death Mountain, which was too hot for any non-goron to withstand; obviously this forest spirit had little to no actual information on his people. Except they weren't really his people. And he wasn't really a... Goddess, this had enormous potential to be extremely awkward later, especially once Link.... Great. How on earth was he... she... Goddess! How were they going to explain this?
But for better or worse, there wasn't any time to dwell on future confusion now. So this spirit didn't know what he was capable of; so much the better. He transitioned easily into a fighting stance, simultaneously bringing his knives up into a guard position, and waited calmly for not-Hyn to make the first move.

Not-Hyn moved. But oh, did he move fast. With a few almost bounding steps, he was in range to strike at Moria; he feinted, forcing her to throw up her shield, then hooked the top of his shield under the bottom of hers, and delivered a violent kick to her stomach, doubling her over, upon which he delivered a brutal kick to the back of her skull, all before she really could react.
Next he came at the Sheikah, taking another few huge steps and moving as though to strike at the man's leg.
Moria, slightly blacked out on the ground, tried to collect herself. It took a moment, but she found that despite the pain, she could stand and move after Hyn, which she proceeded to do, if at a significant distance. She wouldn't fall for that one again - she shouldn't have let him get close.

Link knew that he needed to help, but he would be of no use if he just rushed in. This man obviously had skill with a sword, something Link lacked, and on top of that, with all the armor, he doubted that he could even touch him before getting thrown again. Link looked down at the claw shot in his hand, then at the wooden sections of armor. That could work, but his aim was nowhere near good enough to succeed... unless, "Hey Gus, I've got a job for you."

Red eyes smiled slightly; this man was fast, but he was speed and agility. His opponent would have to play different cards if he wanted to win, and it was time for Sheik to inform him of this.
Without waiting for whatever feint not-Hyn was doubtless preparing to throw, he bent his knees and jumped to the side and slightly back, then fell into a graceful roll that took him with range of his opponent's unguarded back. Finally, using the momentum of his roll, he spun up from the ground, both of his knives slicing through the air towards not-Hyn's upper back. All of this happened at an almost supernatural speed; anyone who blinked could have easily missed the entire thing.
((Think of the move that skeleton/wolf guy teaches Link in Twilight Princess, and then imagine it in double time and you'll have the basic idea))

Not-Hyn did admirably. He managed to collect himself enough to twist partially back, but not enough to put the shield in the way instead of the armor. The force knocked Hyn slightly forward and left cuts near his shoulders, although they weren't deep enough to disable anything. He didn't make a noise, instead letting the twist he had begun propel his sword into a speeding messenger of death.

Sheik almost sighed. Trying for speed again; this fool just wasn't getting it, was he? Sheik spun down out of the way, his leg shooting out to slide along the floor as his momentum increased. Simultaneously, he brought the hilt of one of his knives speeding toward a pressure point in Not-Hyn's right thigh. If either one of them connected, he would, at the very least, stumble backward into Link's arms; at best, or course, both the leg sweep and the pressure point bit would succeed, sending his opponent painfully to the ground. And there was no reason to think they wouldn't both succeed. Sheik's movements were preternaturally fast, and the blood on Hyn's back, no matter how little there was, proved that Hyn couldn't keep up.

This time, Hyn was somewhat ready.
As he spun to cut, he drew the sword to himself and took a step back with the right foot. The leg sweep he didn't dodge entirely, but his right leg had been drawn away from Sheik's range, and his weight dumped onto it in preparation for the blow. Sure the back of his left shin smarted a little, and he was bleeding and hurt, but the fight wasn't anywhere near over. The Sheik was fast, faster than a Hylian. Hyn was a Hylian. The problem was that Hyn didn't need to be fast; he just needed the right opening.
One thing he failed to account for, however, was that his step back put him in range of both Link and Moria.
Moria thrust violently for the back of his spine, but miscalculated and stuck her sword into the wooden backplate. Slightly stunned, not-Hyn twisted his head about, and realized that he had lost track of the other fighters. At the point of swearing, he dived directly away from them all, turning it into a roll, hoping that the Sheikah wouldn't have the clarity of thought to take advantage of his lack of balance.

Sheik was dangerously close to just taking a time out and tying that girl up so she wouldn't mess things up any more than she already had. She had no sense of strategy or timing; this was likely all about 'proving herself' or something equally ridiculous. This was Link's quest. It wasn't about her. Of course, there was no hope of actually pausing to tie her up, so instead he channeled his feelings into a lightning fast side kick, aimed at Hyn's right side. If it connected, it would cause him to fall sideways and ruin his neat roll.

Link watched as the battle commenced. Though he knew he should do something to help, it would appear that the Sheikah was doing fine on his own and he was slightly worried that if he tried to help, Link might just get in the way. But still, his body tensed, ready to strike if anything went wrong.

Hyn, a foot in his side, began to slide over to the side. But the sword embedded in the armor on his back prevented him from turning the forward roll into a sideways one. Instead he slid awkwardly across the wooden floor until he slammed into the wall. He began to struggle up, painfully aware of how vulnerable he was. In a moment he'd be forced to concede loss, and then they'd have another fire. If they got enough, he'd have to fight a truly final fight. They'd have the power to drive him out of him. Er, her out of him.

Sheik tutted, his knife point flicking out to p***k the skin of Hyn's unguarded throat before the other man had moved more than an inch. The other knife stayed up in a relaxed 'guard' position. "None of that," he said smoothly, his red eyes unfathomable. "Fire, if you please."
((Edit: Why on earth did it blank out... Oh. I get it. I'm guessing you all know what I wrote, anyway.))

Hyn grimaced. "Very well," the two voices said. "Fire? You wish to have fire? Take it. But remember - you asked for it." A grin spread slowly from left to right, and the heat in the room suddenly increased. The rug burst out in red fire first, then the chairs. A vine exploded under Hyn, flinging him safely through the ceiling, up and out, as the temperature leveled off then decreased again, leaving everything fabric in the room burning, and quickly spreading to the wood.

'Damn it, this is not good,' Link thought as the room went ablaze. "Ya'll get out of here, I need to find the Princess."

Shiek's eyes widened momentarily at the sudden turn of events; he definitely had not expected that. But... the fire was red! Fire wasn't usually red. Should they try and get some in a jar? That wasn't a particularly attractive thought.
The next moment, however, he realized he had other things to worry about as Link announced his intention to find the Princess. Great "Moira, get to the chimney and start climbing, please," Sheik ordered evenly, then turned to Link. "You don't need to find the Princess, as I am she." He paused for a split second. "Sort of. It's complicated. Think of me as a particularly complex illusion if it helps. As far as proof goes, this morning her highness ate most of the eggs and Gus didn't eat anything."
((Er... Bayer, is the fire something we're supposed to catch in a bottle, or is it just bad burning-people only fire?))

((Guess who's back!))
Sofia let out a small giggle.
"So, do you want to move forwards or not? The crator heat is horrid, but I guess, if you insist, it's pretty proportionate to desert heat. Maybe about ten times hotter..." she taunted, staring into Arryl's eyes
Groaning, Sila slumped onto the ground outside the castle.
"Safe. Out. I'm okay..." she murmured, nervous.
