Well, okay, so maybe it isn't the best idea, but it's original (or somewhat so) at least! Hey, I tried >.> I'm always getting accused of having to base my RP off of something, so I try something original and someone complains xd Or seems like they do. I dunno.
I'm grumpy because of roadwork happening around my neighborhood. Damn near impossible to get around. >.<

More skintones? I guess they didn't get the defaults to be dark enough for really dark skinned people, but the lightest of the light ones seemed as light as possible without being completely white, to me.
Ghost in the Shell is an excellent basis. That there are still guns in Ghost in the Shell is an advantage nearly always negated by essentially instantaneous data transmission, boiling down to the winner being whoever has the most ability and training. This is neatly exemplified in an episode wherein Motoko is fighting a sniper in medium range who is forced to reason out the extent of her training and personal ability with the body she is given and the firearm she is weilding, along with the behavior she exhibits. She ends up tricking him by acting as though she is downloading information on her rifle by satellite transmission while keeping him pinned down, so when he jumps out to try and shoot her, instead of being unable to fire, she dodges a bullet while firing one into the sniper's eye.
A scene like that in RP would lend itself mostly to internal dialogue or thought, as it were. It also would be very difficult to pull off without one person godmoding or controlling both characters, so such a style of RP would be difficult to pull off in any significant way.
Jarlaxle, your avatar looks somewhat humanoid. That is unusual.
Anyway, I had logged on to make a post, but Shazzer said she had half of one done and then got caught up with more important things, so I will be waiting for her post to go up such that mine does not end up conflicting with the half of hers that she has already written.

I'll take that as a compliment.
The episode you're talking about is from Saitou's point of view, when he's telling the story to his card playing buddies and the Tachkomas about the first time he's been frightened.
I wonder if I should join that RP... looks interesting.

Jarlaxle Baenre I'll take that as a compliment. I wonder if I should join that RP... looks interesting. Yeah, that's the one. I generally forget the names of characters who aren't Motoko, play a supporting role, and don't have very memorable appearances. It's unfortunate that Stand Alone Complex and 2nd GIG are popular in America mostly because of the action scenes because the general nature of the series is far more intellectual. I bet people just feel smart when they watch TV where they can't tell what anyone's talking about, and are happy when right before they're about to lose interest out of boredom, an action scene crops up out of necessity and lures them back in.

OH GOD! I JUST saw the pre-release of Snakes on a Plane! Only 5 theatres in BC were showing it last night! Well...I suppose it would count as tongiht....I dunno... either way it KICKED a**! We showed up 3 hours early because we thought there was going to be a line, but there was almost no publicity for the showing so only 13 people showed up! lol The theatre employees let us fool around with the velvet ropes and chain off our own space for the line....so pretty much we made a triangle right beside the door and yelled at anybody not going to see the movie. It was awesome! ^_^ And we got a free poster and rubber snake with our tickets! well, not really....we were there for so long that the employees figured that we should get something for our fanatical devotion to a movie nobody wants to see lol.
The movie actually wasn't bad. sure, a few of the snakes on the plane actually weren't poisonous and there are MANY things that just DON'T MAKE SENSE, but the movie was action-packed, funny as hell, and just all around fun. Go see it! It's so bad it's good! rofl

I have just enjoyed a BAD MOVIE RAMA to prepare myself for Snakes on a Plane
The viewing list was:
Edison Force - Starring Morgan Freeman, Kevin Spacey, LL Cool J, and JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE! An absolute smash with an absolute all star cast. Yes indeed.
Murderball - Much like American football, there is disappointingly little Murder involved. It's actually rugby played by quadraplegics. ******** touching documentaries hiding behind XTREEM AXXION SPORTS.
Snakes on a Train - Came out years ago. A woman is cursed to give birth to a whole bunch of snakes until she can get a cure from a Shaman, who apparently lives in Los Angeles. So she hops on a train. 3000 snakes. 100 passengers. Nowhere to run. Awwwwwwww yeah.

P.S VAL
The red scarf you're questing for...
It's the chuck norris scarf...
Spelled out phonetically to the Japanese version of the name.
Sorry, I don't know if you knew that or not.
Just random tidbit of information. whee

She's probably just busy... or tired. Or something.
It's not like her to be inactive for this long (omg, the captain seat is cursed!).
Nah, it's not like it's been weeks. She'll be back tomorrow...or something.

Oog... I've been staying with my friend. Her boyfriend's back in town now, though, so I think she should be fine.
And things got a little complicated on my side, too. sweatdrop

Oh, okay. I mentioned that because you said you had half a post created and I wanted to wait for you, but I was also pressured to go and post in an effort to promote activity.
Anyway, I'll wait again.
