He had not fully tapped into his abilities yet, and wanted to see how much he would actually have to fall into the concentration rut that brought them up to almost 9 centuries of power that grew stronger with each year. Such was the way with vampires. But he wished to see what this Lycan was capable of before he brought out any more of what he had to offer. He finished his reloading a bit ago, and was contemplating throwing something else out there, but waited, listening for any sign of hostility...
