The UV round slices a thin line in his cloak, embedding itself in a tree behind him as he ducks back into cover. The deafening sound of the grenade's concussion echoes through the air, a silver cloud of gas expanding instantly outward, only helped by the slight night-time breeze he had spoken of so fondly earlier...He pulls off a few more shots at the prone figure on the ground, taking advantage of his immobility

xhel looked back to dusk when she heard the explosion. she let a psycic barrier surround him in an attempt to stop the gas from entering his system.

He heard the shots and moved quickly again, thankful of his Alpha strength and speed as he saw the bullets speed into the ground with a kick of dirt into the air. Flicking back onto his feet, he shot back and ducked against a second tree.
Then he felt it, a hard pressure on his lungs, as if someone was grasping them tightly in their hands, choking him of breath. Coughing, he clutched his chest and covered his mouth with his jacket, trying to stop the fumes entering him.

He ducks back as two chinks appear in the tree's trunk next to his midsection. He decides to take some time for the vampire girl shaming herself by protecting the lycan elder...
He removes a self-timed UV flash-radius detonator, setting the timer to only about 2/3 of a second after impact with surface, seeing as he already had ample enough cover and woulden't need to cover himself with his cloak. He non-chalantly heaves it out into the clearing without breaking his cover where the woman and her supposed lover were fighting another being. He didn't really have to worry. You can't be quicker than the speed of light...

xhel was still running when she heard the gunshots. she ducked out of the way of most of them but one caught her in her calf and she twisted to blast back at nick. the final bullet struck her in the shoulder and she turned around all the way and landed on her front.
