Jarlaxle Baenre
Jar Jar is back from the Cape!
My god, why is it that every time I go away something drastically changes?
Kozo is a ********' tentacle monster and Shazzer is the boss chick.
Wowhee.
Jar Jar tried playing RO (Ethereal RO) and it's mad complex. Methinks that me'll just stick to me games as me'll be getting me computer upgraded soon so I get get me some mad spiffy games that me'll enjoy greatly.
Heh, sorry Val but it gets worse; I'm now a tentacle monster thingy with a CROSSBOW! Hell yes!
Well, the design at least is done. I've been trying to put together a list of items I can make this thing out of that will both be functional AND seem harmless when disassembled. I've finally done it!
I'm using:
1-2 heavy duty elastics (bow string)
4 paperclips (mount the bow to the base)
3 ballpoint inkwells (2 for bow and 1 to be made into a bolt)
1 calculator with snap on cover (serves as a deck, paperclips clip into lid and are made into eyebolts)
1 wristband (elastic-type. Used as a strap to secure the deck to your wrist)
2-3 pieces of down (fleching for bolt)
This thing is going to be non-lethal (well the ammo is anyway) and should be fairly easy to create. The only problem is, if I'm using ink wells as a bow I'll only get one or two really good shots out of it. does anybody know of any other materials carried by students that will offer a similar spring to it? This whole aparatus should be able to be assembled in about 5 minutes or less and disassembled pretty much by opeining the calculator. It wouldn't take a lot of modifying to make the projectiles poisoned, so be careful kids! If I can get a sweatband and some bic pens anmd down I'll post an image of the completed model. This isn't as simple as the previous dart launcher I made, (break a pen to use as a barrel, put an elastic at one end and put pointy thing in the other) but it should have somewhat better range and power.
Anime Evolution on friday! Weeee! So is snakes on a plane! Weeeeee again!
All is good today. Also, does anybody know how I can reduce the muzzle velocity of a potato gun? I can't seem to find a website with the proper mathematics or examples that would let me adjust this. The current designs I downloaded give me (as previously stated) a muzzle velocity of about 500 FPS, and I need to get it down to about 300 or 350 to make it safe for neighbourhood shenanigans. (all of which do NOT involve shooting small animals, children or windows)
I think reducing the size of the blast chamber would help, but I'm not sure if that would actually reduce the velocity of the potato or if it would just reduce the range....
