Anjafey sighed quietly and looked around. She didn't fail to notice the absence of Amira and Nato, and for some reason she liked that idea. She sighed soflty again, for Ari's sake; it wouldn;t be long before Sigal left.

But apparently it was time for sleep. Shrugging, she made herself more comfortable, and willed her body to sleep.

Rendo yawned when he saw his mate sleeping and decideing to ahve a little fun went over and just laid on top of her, "Warm, blue, leaves...kind of lumpy though." He said outloud as he held back snickers.

((IT'S MOOOOOORNING! Not like half the tribe cares, but we've gotta get Sigal out of here eventually...))

Sigal opened her eyes sleepily when she felt the sunlight hitting her. She had fallen asleep maybe halfway through the party last night, and she felt exhausted. She thought about going back to sleep, and staying for another day.

But the silence around her convinced her otherwise. She was sick and tired of being the only one awake during the day, the only one around, with no friends, no one to even talk to.

Sigal stood up, and stretched out, yawning. She walked over to some of the food left over from last night, and started eating it.

The sound of something big moving around caught Ari's attention, and he opened an eye, to see what was going on.

He saw Sigal, breakfasting on one of the left over deer.

That was right, she was leaving today.

Part of him would rather go back to sleep, but he ignored that. His daughter was leaving the tribe forever, so he forced himself to stand up, and walk over to her.

Silence stretched on between the two, awkwardly. He saw her look up from the deer, and stare at him. He wondered if she was equally unsure what to say.

"Well...uh...good-bye." He wished now that he had spent some time preparing some speech to send her off into the world with. But instead, he had spent all of the days and weeks leading up to this moment denying it would ever happen. And here it was, happening, and despite knowing about it for so long, he was still completely unprepared.

"Yeah...'bye, Daddy," Sigal said.

If her father just weren't nocturnal, or if she was nocturnal, like a Lunarie fox, maybe she wouldn't have to leave. She had been looking forward to leaving up to just a moment ago, but now she realized she would be leaving her family, everyplace, and everyone she had ever known. Even if she had barely spoken to them, if she barely knew any of them--they were familiar in a distant way, and she would miss that familiarity.

He felt he should say something more than that pathetic, short sentence. It didn't do any justice to what he was feeling.

But what else could he say? It felt that all words had left him, and only stupid silence remained.

"Good luck," he finally said. "I wish you and Ame all the best."

It still felt like far too little.

"Thanks. I hope you and Kazuki do well, too. And the tribe as well..."

Was she stalling? Maybe. She wasn't even sure anymore. Did she want to stay? Or go?

Either way, it felt like the wrong choice.

"I hope you find a tribe that fits you better than...here."

He wished he could change the tribe, change the way it was, so she could stay.

But he couldn't. It wasn't just his tribe, it was Kazuki's, too, and he shouldn't be so selfish.

Still, it didn't stop him from wishing.

"I guess I will. So...bye."

She hated how final it sounded, like she would never see Daddy or anyone she knew ever again.

She said it, though, and she had run out of excuses and time. So she forced herself to turn away from Daddy, from everything she had ever known, and walk off, to try to find her own place, where she could belong.

(Me liked it. ^^)

A ray of sunlight peering through the leaves of the tree irritated Yudoku as it shone right in her eyes, causing her to wake up. She squinted and looked over to see Ari and Sigal talking to each other quietly. Then, when Sigal started to walk off Yudoku lifted her head and stared after her, confused. Where's she going? she thought to herself as she yawned a bit. Passing it off as just her going to get something to drink, she laid her head back down on her paws and shifted a little so that the sun was no longer shining directly into her eyes. Within a few minutes, the small kit had fallen back to sleep.

Nako awoke as he say Sigal leaving the tribe grounds. What in the world was going on? He stood and shook his fur off of any type of dirt. He wandered over to a rock nearby of Ari and know right away, he had remembered one of the foxes telling him that Sigal wasn't of the tribe. He sighed, she was leaving today. He knew Ari wasn't going to be happy at all today, he wandered over around the tribe as he layed back down near the tree. Nako woundn't be able to sleep now, this would be rough now that a fox he thought of the tribe was leaving.

Anjafey sighed and rolled herself out form under Rendo, who had fallen asleep across her back. Popping stiff joints, she looked up in annoyance at the sun, and the nover at Ari. In th distance, she could see a flash of pink, walking away.

Ah yes. Today was the day. She sighed for Ari's sake, but didn't go to him; she wasn't his mother, or even a very close friend. Laying back down, she pushed Rendo over some and watched the former party grounds with alert eyes.

((Elf gets brownie points for the ego stroke! *sticks a gold star sticker on her forehead* :p *shot* ))

Ari stayed standing there, watching Sigal walk off. He stayed there, even after the trees hid her from view, and the sound of her pawsteps had faded from hearing. He wasn't sure how long he stayed standing there, but it felt rather like forever.

Finally, though, with the sun clearing the horizon, Ari turned away. Slowly, head down, he walked back to where he had been sleeping. He laid down, and closed his eyes, but after what had just happened, sleep refused to come.

Nako stared out at the shadow of Ari as he released a sigh. Sigal was gone, he knew that hard times would face for the tribe now she was gone. Ari was not going to be in such a great mood now that his own daughter was gone. Nako's red eyes stared straight ahead as he looked at the passing animals of the forest. He never did get to know Sigal very well, but he knew Ari and everyone here cared for her.

Sleep didn't cloud his face as Nako stared at the other sleeping figures of the foxes. He just stayed awake, he knew sleep wouldn't come to him anymore because of this. He was waorried, worried for Ari, worried for everything else. The Future shouldn't be of what he was thinking, but it just did. Tension roamed inside him as he sighed again, Why was he like this?

High up in the mountians the bright glare of sunlight had just hit the prayer area. Kazuki was sleeping soundly until there was a bright glare on his closed eye lids. He slowly opened them raising his paw to sheild his eyes. He blinked and looked around. He couldn't remember what happened last night. Last he remembered was speaking to Heartbreak then nothing. How strange. WAIT! He realized that Sigal was leaving today. Quickly he got up poping some of his stiff muscles and began to run. Slowly at first due to be a bit tired. Then he bolted down the mountian side.

The wind just seemed to buzz by him. As did his surroundings. He stopped when he reached the cave panting and out of breath. He looked around no sign of Sigal. He lowered his head. How could he have been so stupid as to fall asleep at the praying grounds. He looked up sadly only to meet Ari's sad and distant eyes gazing off. Slowly Kazuki approached his mate.

"Ari..?"

Ari looked up to see Kazuki there. He had been wondering why his mate wasn't there today, of all days.

But Kazuki was here now, had rushed to get here. That counted for something, right?

"Yes?" Ari asked, tonelessly. He couldn't let any emotion into his voice. If he did...he thought he might cry.

Kin'iro stirred as Kazuki rushed by her. Stretching a little, she squinted up at the morning sun and then looked over at the two elders. It struck her odd at just how sad Ari seemed to be. Though extremely tired, her concern/curiousity got the better of her as she made her way over to the elders. She laid down next to Ari and yawned. "What's wrong?" she asked sleepily, looking up at him and squinting slightly due to the sun. "And why are you two up so early?"

Kazuki stopped and stared at his mate. There was no emotion in his voice. Was he mad at him? Kazuki lowered his head and looked away. He couldn't face his mate. He was such a terrible Modifox. Having left his mate alone on a day like today. He sighed softly and then turned to leave. He was sure Ari didn't want him around what so ever.

"Nothing..I'll just go.." It was obivious he was sad and very much disappointed. Not in Ari but himself.
