I haven't read through this whole thread yet, but I just wanted to say that there's been one forfeit and one person half-beaten, half-DQ'd. In the fight between Cziri and Feanyth Mayosh, he posted something and she went totally berserk in an OOC response, and it basically spoke to me that she had nothing more to post IC. Cziri wasn't much better in responding or instigating, though, and he was a bit of an OOC problem in the original outer-GGN threads, so I'll be watching him.

With that said, anyone who makes an OOC post, regardless of what it says, will just have the post deleted. Use PM's.

Cognitive Genome
...Anyway, nostalgia FTW. It was highly amusing to read through that again, but it was a good time - a time when there wasn't any inflated egos and what-not.

Truth. When you read through the beginning of the old Levi thread, or the majority of posts from around 2003, all you see is people having respect for one another. Nowadays, it's the total opposite in just about every RP thread you go to.

Also, heads up...I'm going to be away for the weekend, starting...any moment now, till sometime Sunday, probably. Camping trip. So if you have any disputes, please try to work 'em out (over private messages), and if you can't, send me a PM and I'll handle it when I get back.

Thanks. =D

Ride didn't show up yet, so I'm still tryin' to catch up on this thread.

The Fierce Deity
....Deity could draw that many of he wanted to...th'further back they got, they'd be unrecognizable anyway, so they'd be easier t'draw. Only the first few rows of monkeys and Clash would be clearly detailed...but....Deity doesn't feel like drawing it anyway...so someone else can make a banner... > >;;

Someone else suggested a banner, and I really suck at...any kind of art/graphics, for the most part. I'm alright at hand-drawn stuff, but that's the extent of my "experience", and I don't even have a scanner. A banner for signatures would be awesome, and a cropped one or something for the GGN would be nice, too. I'll have to look into employing somebody to do it. But Deity, that'd be really sweet if you actually did draw that, and I've been looking for avi art for a while.

Anywho, to the people talking about getting O/M filled up, I send out invites to people that pique my interest, but so far I've apparently not been getting much of a response, at least for the few I invited in the past couple o' days. I haven't really had a chance to go out and mass-recruit yet, though, but when I have a ton of time in summer vaca (which begins this Tuesday coming up), it's on.

*Hurries back to reading the thread.* And if I suddenly disappear, means I left, loliopop.

You know, if you all just ignore Ertai, he loses his power.

He's like the boogeyman.

The disrespect is horrid. I avoid most large scale places now because of people being disrespectful and impolite in general. I mostly stick with the group of people I began to rp with. Only to find that they are capable of the same disrespect to people they do not know.

It's a shame. Gaia is a forum and a community, it is based on the same concepts as a community in everyway, and people are willing to destroy it or drive others out. Probably some times for fear of those who will join and attempt to rend things apart.

It is a shame. I remember the time when people were given the benefit of the doubt and then several chances.

Enjoy the camping Clash. Been too long since I was on a trip myself.

Alexi Draguer
Salutations. I have a question directed to anyone that can reply with clarification.

Know as the aforesaid may imply, I am slightly reluctant to actually join this guild and engage in roleplay, not only because of the entry fee (which I whole-heartedly agree with, of course, because it keeps the un-dedicated out (usually) and also contributes to the tournament), but also because of the curfew on posting.

I, myself, cannot go to Gaia as much as I wish to because I am busy being a writer and musician, however I never usually take a leave longer than one week from Gaia (usually four days at most). But I also have two prevalent health problems that also aid in rendering this unfortunate statement, those being one with my brain, and another with my heart.

I was wondering (I have read that it is O.K. for slight absenses between posts, as long as the battle moves at diserable speed) if I were to join, that the owner/tournament manager keep in mind this discrepencies. That way, after I join and enter my 1,000 gold, he will know why I take leaves for up to four - five days (sometimes), and will know that it is not spurred from disintegrating interest in the guild; I am very interested in this establishment.

Also I was excited to hear the fact that another tournament would be held antecedant to this tournament, but I have a suggestion:

* That after and during the tournament, that this guild, singularly to one branch, be open perpetually, to those who wish to have non-tournament matches and roleplaying in the arena. Non-professional, in other words, arena matches may be placed by whim of the two, or more, parties in the arena, or a section of the arena, or in a seperate arena, for day-to-day battling roleplay. Users may also set bets on these battles, gain strength and wisdom from these fights, and become (in)famous amongst the arena-goers. Not only would this thread then thereforth be popular for its tournament, but also its flexible non-tournament fighting system.

Thanks for reading.

That's all fine. =) Four to five days, especially under your circumstances, is understandable. Glad to see you showed up.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and about leaving this guild open once the tournament concludes, I was actually planning on that. I'd lock all the threads for the matches, but probably keep like...this thread and The Stadium thread open. Maybe have more areas or something, depending on what happens, but wouldn't want to stray too far from the tournament atmosphere. I'd just leave them open in case anyone fancies posting here, or doing what you said.

Enub!a, I didn't read it yet. sweatdrop I have quite a few PM's and usually save the applications for last, because they're the longest. I should be able to get to it soon here, but if my ride shows up, it probably won't be till Sunday when I get back.

Valyon, there's no real time restrictions yet. I know some want them and some don't, so...at least one post a day is nice, a few posts every minute is outstanding, and taking a few days if you've got some kind of emergency is understandable.
