She had wanted to go dancing.
This time, Wash didn't meekly slide his way into the midst of the melee. He hacked and slashed his way through, looking for an opening.

Ryan tried to help the Life Lead. But apparently that was a bad thing, as he almost hit him instead, thanks to the effects of the poison. H didn't look to pleased about it either.

Approaching the mist lead, Aria, Kat was amazed to see how many enemies were frozen solid with ease by her. Thankfully, this meant that she had absolutely no problem going in for the attack now.

Stormy hummed a bit as she considered his answer. "D'you think?" she mused like it was a legitimate question. "Not that I'll quiz you on the value of human lives and souls right now but--" Maybe she was thinking and talking too much for a battle . . . A certain Moon Leader seemed to think so, and for the second time that battle Stormy was chastised for not focusing and for the second time winced and stood at attention.
And then Allan decided to explode again and more wincing was had as she shielded her eyes.
"At least we know it's temporary," she sighed as she touched his arm to show Gale where she was, wishing just as much as he was that they were somewhere more quiet. "I'm here, okay? But I'm gonna dive in real quick and be right back, promise."

At this point, Ryan couldn't tell if his attacks were getting worse due to the poison, or the exhaustion. Probably both. Either way, the boss received a nice long gash across one of it's many legs. A paper cut really, given it's size.

Having a clear shot, Melvin continued to fire until he heard Allan screaming from the side. Turning his head just slightly only to be rewarded with a sheering light that shot through his eyes and sent him covering his eyes. Blinded, he stumbled off his chair and fell back into a pile of spiders.

Trying to avoid the worst of the damage, Kat moved back further, getting some distance between her and any oncoming attacks. Long ranged weapons always had their perks. Raising her guns once again, she blasted the creature with yet another shot.

Wash didn't hesitate. He rushed past the Mist lead, and time seemed to slow down, all that grey washing out the battle around him so that all he could see was the target.
He swung his shield in a wide, powerful arc, and it sliced through several tentacles. The spidery appendages hit the ground with a disturbing hiss. He staggered backward, dizzy.

Someone started to yell rather encourage words to Matt as the last mob of insects fell away. However he wished he hadn't, there in front of him was the boss with its large arching legs. Kasi screamed again in his head. She was true to her word. Knowing Gale was more vulnerable the moment she turned away from him, Stormy scanned their immediate surroundings and sliced the tip off another tentacle. At least these things were starting to slow down just a bit . . .
"On second thought, I'm not in the mood for calamari anymore," she muttered as she slapped the greatsword against the ground to crush a line of insects, watching for other tentacles or enemies coming their way until Gale regained his sight.
