((Already there))
C.J. looked at Brenda and over to the Subway tunnel entrance. "Hey, pop in there. Believe me. There's a shortcut!" he said.
"Or better yet. Let's get Kitty to open the portal!"
No, no. She's done enough for us. Hang on!
"Don't do it, dude! The powers that be will have our butts for sure!!"

innocent little Rosie ((Mostly 'cause I wanna see the reaction from Misty)) As the parade left, Pablo and Frank returned to the train on a speeder. Having seen the parade leave WITHOUT them, and C.J. having left, the duo looked at each other, back at the train (with a WRECKED car that belonged to Leona) and back at each other. "We missed a bit, didn't we, Frank?" Pablo asked as Frank looked on. "Y-ep. The boss isn't gonna like THIS!" Frank replied.

It was only a few moments afterwards that there was a loud "crash" was heard from Leona's destroyed car. Followed by another crash, then something else falling over, and finally a loud cat-like "yelp".

Pablo and Frank looked at each other after the crash and darted towards the site of it, leaving the speeder still puttering away on another siding. Making it to the shambled ruins of the railroad car, they started moving debris out of the way. This had turned out to be one interestingly weird day to say the least!

Once they moved a large chunk of wood, a black cat bolted out of the debree shot between one of the men's legs. The scrawny thing stopped in the open area of the train field, then shook his fur clean of dust. The thing blinked, looked around, then looked back at the two men.

Frank looked at Pablo. "The hell?! Where've we seen him before, amigo?" he asked as Pablo shrugged.
"Pretty much my policy, if it's an animal we haven't seen before, assume Benoit adopted it." Pablo said as he got down, sticking his hand out. "Here, little feller. You okay?" he asked as Frank kept digging.
"Holy s**t, Pab', what the hell did this anyways?!" Frank asked.

The black cat looked up at Pablo with wide eyes. He sniffed at his fingers a moment, then turned and looked away from them. Down towards where the circus would be at. The cat flicked it's tail, then looked back at the man.

Pablo nodded. "Yeah . . . we're needed down there, but our co-worker needs us . . . friend of his is in trouble, kitty." he said as Frank looked up.
"Chrissakes, Pab, quit talkin' to the cat. We gotta figure out what the hell we're supposed to do now!" Frank said and sat down on some ruins of the railroad car. This would be a WHOLE lot easier if we had Superman on speed-dial! he thought.

The cat growled slightly, then ran back up to the men. He latched onto one of the men's pants legs with his teeth, and tugged at it. Then let go and took off towards the Circus area.

When the cat came up and pulled at Frank's pant leg, that caught him by surprise. "Woah! Hey! Okay, okay, we'll go!" Frank said, getting up as Pablo immediately went after the cat.
"C'mon, dude! Animals have a sense for knowing danger before a human does. We could get to the bottom of this pretty fast!" Pablo said as Frank started jogging to catch up.
"You were readin' Dun's books again, weren'tcha?" Frank said as they went to follow the cat.

CC hurried down the train yard and towards the Circus. There he weaved in and out of the stands, worker's feet, and around a few tents. One of the larger, less occupied tents. He waited for the other two to catch up, then shoved himself under the flap and vanished inside the tent.

Pablo made it up first as Frank came huffing up behind him, just seeing the tail slip under the tent.
*pant pant* "Jesus, Pab'. The HELL're we doing? Who's watching the train?!" Frank asked as Pablo turned around and faced Frank.
"well, apparently since the yard police did SUCH a fine job, you can bring it up with THEM! Now come on! I think C.J.'s cat went under here!" Pablo said as he went for the flap to the tent, Frank rolling his eyes.
Jeez . . . mom said their'd be days like this! Frank thought.

The tent was fairly empty, mostly used as storage for equipment that would be brought out later on or need to be switched out. That said there wasn't anyone inside the tent. Or... shouldn't be at least. The cat had vanished between some of the larger equipment, and was no where to be found.
On the ground, half hidden by a large crate, was Leona's dress that she had let Misty wear. A large red stain soaking the top half of the dress around the neck line.

Frank looked at the dress and back at Pablo, who was immediately doing the sign of a cross.
"What the hell?! I mean CHRIST! Somebody really wanted her dead!!" Frank said, staring down at it in almost fright as Pablo looked at it and back at Frank.
"This . . . this is freaky. I mean jeez . . . okay. She can't have gone far. Start looking for anything. Blood, footprints, SOMETHING. Jeez . . . gonna smack him upside the head if he EVER pulls this on us again!" Pablo said, Frank agreeing . . . this was by far the WEIRDEST day they saw on this job!

It didn't take long for their search to finally turn up clues. The dress had been half hidden behind some of the equipment. And down the narrow path between it and another row of equipment was a bloody hand print. Farther down the thin path was another piece of bloody discarded clothing. Then the faint sound of murmering from the end of the path. Against the wall of the tent and behind a large crated. Just enough room there for someone to hide, and keep well out of sight with as much was stacked around.
The voice though... didn't sound female. And the earsplitting cry of a cat as one of the men's shoes crunched down on the tail that was sticking out from under a cotton candy machine sure as heck wasn't female either.
