"I got a stick!" Riley said proudly holding his weapon up to show Mala.
"It's called a bo staff, Riley. We've been over this." Van said with a sweatdrop.
((It's like a dysfunctional family. It's kinda sweet in some strange way. :3 ))

((They win the award for most in need of therapy kind of dysfunctional. These guys win the award for most fun to watch/comedic kind of dysfunctional. XD ))
"Well you're always saying how lucky the other girls back home were for being bigger than you, so maybe you're not like other girls? Although you all look the same size to me." Riley said innocently.
"He said it! He said it, not me!" Van said trying not to bust out laughing that Riley basically blurted out Mala being self-conscious about her breasts.

Mala would've normally started whining about her breasts then, but so far there have been almost no women they've come across with better breasts than Mala. This was likely due to Jaquel's...habits and the fact that most of the prettier ones keep getting themselves killed, but that's besides the point. "Normally, I would've been upset. However, those.." Mala covered Riley's ears. "BITCHES" she uncovered them. "..ladies are dead as bloody hell, judging by that demon's rampage."

"I'm pretty sure they make pills for that now." Van said, still snickering."I don't get it! What's so funny Master Van?" Riley asked looking up at Van."I'll...I'll tell you when you're older." Van said finally starting calm down. "And where'd the 'master' stuff come from?""You're going to teach me to fight, right? That makes you my master!" Riley said with a bright and innocent smile.((It's true! biggrin ))

Mala warned with a playful grin. She then asked on a more serious note, "So, are we going to explore the lands for a bit or are we going back onto the boat and back to that...hellhole to get your revenge on that pervert?"

((If you're wondering, it's from the game Princess Maker 2. I read a hilarious Let's Play of it once out of boredom. XD ))
Van looked down at Riley, then back Mala. "For his sake we're wandering." he said pointing down at Riley. "Besides, I'd rather not feel Atius' rather while I'm in the middle of wailing on a demon."

"That's understandable." Mala said, shrugging. "Plus, I know I need to improve my skills too. Maybe we'll come across a magics acadamy. If so, I'll find a way to become a varied mage instead of simply a barriers and blessings-only priestess. Either that or I can learn acrobatics from a traveling circus and give up most magic altogether." she then said, knowing that she also needed to improve when it came to combat. "Which do you think would be more useful?"

"You already know some magic, I'd say go for the varied mage. Easier to continue with what you know that start from scratch I'd think." Van said. "And if you really want acrobatics, I should be able to help with that too, as it's an important skill for a good thief to know." he said in a very matter of fact tone.

Mala chuckled at Van's words, right up until she heard Riley's question and realised that he was listening in. "I..uhm...if you want to know that, wait until you're older...okay?" she said, her cheeks flushed up to a bright red. "When you are old enough, I promise I'll consider telling you...'kay?" As she said this, she gave Van a look that said that they'll discuss this further when Riley wasn't listening.
