Their encouragement made Danny grin, maybe he wasn't so behind on things after all. "Probably the hardest part is sharing a house with a bunch of gi-" He bit his lip, blushing when he realized the sort of company he was in. "Uh, I mean... it's not so bad..."

@Fero: Anise looked up when another trainer spoke to her about looking at her freshly-caught Meowth. "Oh absolutely! I'm always glad to help any pokemon in need of medical attention. Come, sit down and we'll take a look at him." She scooted over to make space beside the campfire. "My name's Anise, by the way."

Alexa finished another bowl and began working on another. "Thanks. She makes sure I take good care of her. She wouldn't have it any other way." She replied looking at Lumina for a moment, "I got her here in Zatao but I don't remember which part. I did have to use Tangla berries to lure her to me."
She nodded at Lumina's other question. "Yep. I battle and when I feel confident enough I try challenging a gym. Might even battle you one day Danny." She grinned at him, "Of course I'm interesting in trying out a contest. I think Apolla would be better at them than battling."
She grinned at Rachel and it grew as she turned to look at her Vulpix. Yep Apolla was preening and posing since someone had complemented her.

@for anyone!
The travel, in the beginning, had been rather easy, but when night fell, things had gone from easy to interesting. Dace participated in the events, gathering with others in attempts to capture the meowiths (though with his lousy throws, it was obvious that he caught none), and gawked when the raichu had appeared. Oh my oh my, how interesting!
After that was over though, Dace quickly eased into his less conspicuous self, trying to get comfortable in the middle of the dark. Never had he done this sort of thing, and all the dirt and trees and noises and what nots were rather nerve-racking for him, or at least that was how it seemed.
He huffed and sighed, wiggling again in attempts to get comfortable, and then gave up with a frustrated grunt, instead opting to feeding his rental tauros then himself.
"This is so disgusting," Dace grouched to himself, munching on a rather tasteless energy bar he had bought. "Chocolate, pfft."

Milo gladly handed the pleading pokemon another poffin. She giggled while trying to eat the rest of her soup. Bad idea. She began to cough and sputter, but quickly regained her composure. She uttered a small excuse me, before downing the rest. She didn't realize she was that hungry!
A new person walked up to the two of them. She directed her attention to her, though she was not addressed.

Luckily for Danny, Lumina wasn't familiar with the gym he had mentioned, so she couldn't have guessed the word he was about to say, "Well, so long as you enjoy doing it." She shrugged, "So just pretending, what sort of pokemon would you want in a team? Doesn't have to make sense or have a theme. Just for fun."
She turned to Alexa, "Ooh, I've heard of contests. Never looked into them. They hard?"

((@Mew and Ashes)) "I'm Kary," the trainer said to Anise and to the other person present as she took a seat beside them near the campfire. She looked at the Safari ball in her hand. "Do you think it would be safe to just release him? If he's confused I don't want him to stumble into the fire or anything... Ah, but of course you can't look at him if he's in the Pokeball..." Kary sighed. "Sorry, I'm new at this."

Rachel caught what Danny was going to say but only threw him an amused look over he shoulder before turning back to finished her last pot. Once she was finished she placed it to the side then turned to Alexa and Apolla. She gave a small smile, held out her arms towards the vulpix and asked, "May I hold her?"

Milo smiled at Kary, "I'm Milo, it's nice to meet you." The girl's confusion of her new pokemon made her smile. Not to make fun of her of course, but it reminded her how she was when she first started off. She was no expert on pokemon herself, still a little shaky handling Draco at times, but she learned quick. Maybe Kary would be the same.

@Fero: "He should have recovered from that, so it would be fine to let him out. Recalling a pokemon to a pokeball heals confusion. And just in case...Felix, come on over before you get fat!" she teased her pokemon. The Delcatty trotted over, recognizing that Anise was doing the medicine thing and he might be needed. "Felix here can calm your Meowth down with Sing. He's done it before."

Alexa giggled catching what Danny was going to say. She smiled at him once more and turned back to her dishes. She nodded setting another clean dish with the others. "My older sister says that contests are hard. They require a lot of thinking and special training. I got away from her before she got me to try them." She said picking up the last bowl and cleaning it, "I don't know if she'll let you hold her but I'm sure she'll allow you to pet her. She loves it when people tell her how pretty she is."
Apolla looked at Rachel and flicked her tails. Standing up she cautiously walked over, mindful of the creek. She stopped just before the healer/breeder and leaned her head towards her to be petted.

Lumina's idea sounded fun, so he gave it a try. "I really like watching double battles, so I think pairing up my team would be fun. Maybe one pair with a pokémon who can take a lot of damage along side one who dishes out a lot. Like a Steelix/Slacking combo." He thought a bit longer. "Slacking's kinda slow though, so I'd also want something fast, like Ninjask! Also, having a Shedinja would be cool, there's supposed to be some way to get both, I think." He tapped his finger to his chin. "That's two vulnerable to fire... so maybe a good water type to cool 'em off. It'd be cool to have one I could ride, too. I wonder if Wailren would be big enough... if not, then maybe Gyrados." He realized he had one team slot to fill left. What would it be? His rented pokémon was nearby, munching on the grass. "Ponyta's pretty cool, and so is Rapidash." She looked up at the and cheerfully swung her tail before going back to the grass. "So I guess that's it. Well, for now. Guess it could change." He realized that he rambled some. "What about you? Do Watcher's need a full team?"
((Added.)) He asked Alexa, "Aren't contests like battles, just without fainting your opponent?" He'd never watched a contest before. With all the extra glitz and glitter he tended to think of them as girly.

Lumina took a moment to join Rachel in petting the vulpix, precariously balancing the sticks in the crook of her arm before standing upright again with a grin to Alexa, "So how long do you think you'll train before trying out a contest?"
She listened to Danny, laughing a little at his enthusiasm in his list, "It sounds to me like you'll do fine in choosing a team, whenever that may be."
Lumina pondered over his question, "Well, I'm not sure. My mom doesn't even have one pokemon, she just helps care for a bunch. I need one to help me in the wild, self defense and all. I'd like to have more in a team though, just because that's just how I am." She grinned, "But I'll add slowly as need calls for it I think."

"Nice to meet you, too," Kary said to Milo, then listened to Anise's words. "Oh, right, I... I knew that." She added with an embarrassed smile. True, she did know it, but didn't remember it before Anise brought it up. The newbie trainer held up the Safari ball.
"Come out, Meowth!" Kary called, releasing the newly-caught Meowth. Once he realized that, no, it had not all just been a crazy dream, the Meowth hopped onto his paws and hissed at the girls, holding his tail high in the air. Huh, that was weird, why was his butt so warm? The Meowth glanced backwards to see the flames of the campfire right behind him.
"MROWTH!" <FIRE!> The newly caught Pokemon yowled and jumped between Kary and Anise to cower behind his trainer, ending up behind his trainer purely by coincidence. Kary failed to hold back a snicker.

{{@ Feroxity and Mewrose}}
I had been lingering in the back most of the trip, and had managed to miss most of the first day, withdrawn into my own shyness. The only person I'd really talked to today was Bill... And the Tauros under me, of course. I'd taken to calling him Buck, though I wasn't entirely sure why. As I looked around, I found myself wincing at the sheer number of trainers on the path and shivered some, glancing around until I found another that seemed to be in my travelling group.
I pulled the riding equipment off the Tauros to let him rest and combed my fingers through his short brown fur before leaning over to look accross the fire. I glanced at the Tauros again, noticing that I'd managed to miss quite a bit, apparently. "Guess we missed all the fun, huh?" I sighed and decided to go ahead and set up my tent before I'd sit near the fire.
Now, with a small tupperware of trail mix, I glanced over to Kary and Anise curiously. The shyness I'd been bred with was coming loose again, though it was usually pretty rare. I had to talk to someone... "H-... Hi." I said timidly. "My name's Ruchii... What's yours?"
