  `xxxxxThe ocean. Also known as Poseidon's domain. The god's land lay in front of the petite girl named Lorelei. She placed her hand to her heart and uttered a thank you prayer to the god of the sea. She was one of Poseidon's daughters after all. But she wasn't a god. Her true father was human; her mother was an ocean nymph. She was actually a granddaughter of many greats, but ocean nymphs still considered themselves to be the daughters of Neptune. The ocean breeze blew through her hair and she inhaled the salty air, thinking of Italy. She missed her friends and family and had not made a friend ever since her arrival at the academy. Might as well have a little taste of home then. She took a few steps back to get a running start, and jumped into the salty water, causing a small splash.
xxxxxThe cool water surrounded her and she shuddered. It wasn't a good idea to jump into the water at this time of year. But she didn't want to leave her home not just yet. She sucked in the water and the air went out, just like a fish's gills would. The salt didn't sting her eyes, due to the fact that she wasn't human. Her body adjusted to the water's temperature and she she sighed, feeling the relief. It was time to to explore.
xxxxxShe started off by swimming away from the shore, seeing that there were no fish to talk to. She saw a starfish napping, a few crabs gossiping with the lobsters, and a shrimp was saddened from something. Poor thing. She swam towards him and sat down in front of him. "What's the matter with you"" The shrimp told her that he had just witnessed his friends be eaten by a large fish. The blonde frowned at this, she didn't know how to handle death. "Well, it's just.... Life! The circle of life! If you pray to the gods, maybe they'll help you!" She said with a small smile. The shrimp agreed with her idea and swam off to go pray. He probably didn't know what 'The Gods' were, but at least she tried to be nice and help e poor guy.
xxxxxThe nymph started to swim towards the surface and her little head popped out the water. She moved the blonde tresses away from her face and she started to swim towards the coast, tired from her little adventure. The waters back in Venice are so much more interesting... There's so many things I could find... And then there are the secret places too! She finally felt the sand squish in between her toes, and pulled herself out the water. Her head most likely looked like a wet poodle sitting on top of it and she had to go to her dorm to dry it or she could let it air dry, which took hours. But she was patient and could let her hair air dry as long as there was something for her to do.
xxxxxShe was soon sprawled out on the sand, trying to dry her hair by using her hands to comb through it. It was very difficult because it was so darn curly. In the end, she finally gave up and laid down on her back, whipping out her phone. Thank the Gods it was waterproof, or else she would get in big trouble. She started responding to texts from her very large family back in Europe, replying faster than one of Zeus' mighty thunderbolts crashing down into the earth. She loved her phone; it was the only way she could stay in contact with her relatives. She was so into it right now, she probably wouldn't notice someone come to the beach unless they came to speak to her.

☣ＳｈａｄҘ ☣ ==== ☠ ==== Ⓣ☢ＸＩＣ "Damn... What a day," Shade let out a loud sigh and pushed herself out from the jungle-like thicket she was just trudging around in. The second her leather boots crunched against sand, the brunette looked up from her daze.
"The hell? An ocean?" She questioned and squinted her eyes towards the mass expanse of water. Shade was lightly taken aback. She didnt think she walked that far away from school grounds. Another agitated sigh left her lips and she scratched at the back of her head. At least this place was quiet. Before she made the assumption that she was alone, Shade glanced around the sandy shore. The area to her right was completely abandoned, but to her left she could see someone laying on the shore a few meters away. The bright atmosphere around her made Shade's vision waver, and she couldnt tell if the figure was alive or dead. All she knew was that whoever they were, they were laying down. Her curiosity got the best of her and soon she started making her way towards the lump of flesh.
"Hey!... You dead?" Her cocky voice rang out as she stood over the now identified female. Shade's dark demeaning eyes stared down at the girl, a look of slight amusement plastered to her lips.  ♀Ⓛ❤ＶＥ♀

`xxxxxLorelei had started to focus on the mobile device, not noticing not a woman had entered the area. She finally put down the phone before her thumbs had fallen off. She inhaled deeply and put the back of her hand on her forehead, before noticing the woman was standing above her. She blinked a few times and shook her wet mass of fluffy hair a few times before responding to her question.
xxxxx"Dead? No I'm not dead. I don't think so at least..." She pondered for a moment and pinched herself, wincing at the small amount of pain she had inflicted on herself. She giggled, "Nope! Not dead at all." She attempted to smooth down the mass of curly blonde hair, but it just managed to puff back up again. She huffed and stood up as water from her damp clothes dripped of off her.
xxxxx"You wouldn't happen to be from the academy would you? She asked, her oddly shaped eyes gazed up at the woman. She was quite tall. It made her wonder how old she was... She opened her mouth to ask, but remembered what her mother had told her about asking a woman her age. In Italy, you would get slapped. She wondered how she would react if she asked the brunette's age. "Are you, uh, a student or a teacher?" It was technically asking someone's age, but it really was vague and no one would really find out if she was asking her age.

☣ＳｈａｄҘ ☣ ==== ☠ ==== Ⓣ☢ＸＩＣ With a c**k of her head, Shade eyed the girl as she pinched herself in response to answering the question. She couldnt help but to smirk at the playful and childish nature of this female. While watching the girl struggle to her feet, Shade picked up on the amount of water that ran down the blonde's body. She figured that the girl must of sporadically dove into the ocean just a few minutes prior to her arrival. Shade's attention was suddenly stolen back to the girls voice as she asked her the question of attending Fuyu and what her status was of the school. Crossing her arms, Shade smirked and inhaled a deep breath of salty air.
"Yeah, I'm a full time student at Fuyu. Why ya ask?" She sneered, naturally looking intimidating. It was hard not to question Shade's personality though. She always held sadistic smirks on her lips and the holstered weapons at her chest made her even less appealing to the innocent and submissive.
"You look so young," The brunette suddenly spoke up. "How old are you?"
Of course she would slip out the age question, not having any manners gave her the leeway to do and ask such impulsive and rude questions. ♀Ⓛ❤ＶＥ♀

`xxxxxLorelei blinked. Never in her thirteen years of life had see been spoken to like that. And the woman had weapons... That looked dangerous. She remembered her mother's saying about guns. 'Lorelei, guns are dangerous and are used for killing people. Only your father can use the gun to protect us, okay?' She either she was good or she was bad...
xxxxx"Oh? I was new here and I managed to wander here on instinct. I have a close connection with the ocean; my ancestors come from there." She shut her mouth and stopped speaking. She remembered that she shouldn't tell strangers about her personal life. She looked at the sand and realized her shoes were gone. They must've fallen off when she went swimming. She looked back up at the woman when she asked her age. "I'm thirteen, about to turn fourteen in April." She replied with a smile. She wasn't really a woman, so the never-asking-a-woman-her-age thing really didn't apply to her.
xxxxxShe sighed and moved a piece of her now-puffy hair out of her face. She wished she could go back and get her shoes. Her feet were growing cold and the sand made them itch. She sighed and crossed her arms.

"I have no idea why I came here. I just needed to get away from my fuc... Friggin roommate," Shade caught herself being in the presence of a minor. With a sigh, she lazily slumped down next to the girl. The brunette extended her hand towards the tiny blonde.
"By the way, we never introduced ourselves... I'm Shade," She attempted to crack a smile but it slightly turned into a sadistic blood thirsty smirk. ♀Ⓛ❤ＶＥ♀

`xxxxxLorelei's head cocked to the side as Shade had changed her words in the middle of the sentence. What had she intended to say? She furrowed her eyebrows in concentration, trying to think of what she was going to say. She finally gave up and shrugged and watched as the woman sat down next to her and introduced herself as Shade. Such an odd name... But it does sound creative.
xxxxx"I'm Lorelei. Pleased to, er, meet you..." She took Shade's hand and shook it gently, but she had begun to trail off seeing the creepy smile growing on the brunette's face. She bit her lip and tried to avoid her gaze, but she had to say something about it. "Your face... It's s-scaring me..." She laughed nervously, trying to shake off the awkwardness growing in the conversation.

☣ＳｈａｄҘ ☣ ==== ☠ ==== Ⓣ☢ＸＩＣ "Lorelei? Cute name." Shade snickered then paused as the girl stared intently at her face. For a moment Shade thought there was something on it. She was about to question but the answer had suddenly hit her unexpected.
"My...face is...scary?" She slowly repeated. Shade narrowed her eyes. She wasnt sure whether to take that offensively to her looks in general, or to her inability to make a normal smile.
"How so?" She questioned in a low voice. The brunette was also feeling the aura of uncertainty around the two as she sat there. Perhaps it would of been better if she stayed to herself. She was never one for first impressions, or social contact. Trying to keep herself busy, Shade started to entwine her fingers within the lace of her boots. She seemed rather irritable now since she put herself in a predicament. Continue talking or get out of there as fast as possible. ♀Ⓛ❤ＶＥ♀
