Ieyasu grimaced slightly as Osu tugged at his hair. Ouch. Keeping a hold of him, he strode after Keanu, keeping in pace with Kami. Although, he made sure he was on the opposite side to the dragon.
"So how long has it been since Keanu grew?" he asked Kami, smiling. "I haven't seen you for a little while."
Hey, he could see the beach from up here! Shifting slightly on Ieyasu's shoulders, Osu let go with one hand again to point up ahead. "Beech! Beech!" he yelled, his bushy tail thumping happily against Ieyasu's back.

Kami smiled at Osu before replying. "A couple of weeks...and yes, that's true. He's missed Osu." she said, chuckling. "How long has he been a child, now?" she asked, having a feeling that it hadn't been that long at all. he recognized that unsteady walk.
Keanu could be heard laughing, delighted to be on the familiar warm sands again, turning and waiting for Osu and their parents to get there.

Ieyasu grinned in response. "Just before we met you there. We went to the centre this morning to try to find Alyosha, as we had all the items on the list." He paused before continuing. "It's amazing how it happens. I've never seen magic like that before."
Turning his attention momentarily to Osu, he smiled. "Nearly there now."
Osu leaned forward for a moment, looking down to see where his staff was. He had had it up until he had tripped.... Ah, there it was. Ieyasu must have picked it up when he picked him up - it was tucked between the straps of that black bag. That was good. When he remembered, he thought he had lost it. That would be bad. That would be very bad indeed! He grinned happily, eager to reach the beach and play.

((><; Sorry I've taken so long 'Yasu. *hug* Its been a bit hectic IRL.))
Kami smiled, knowing exactly how he felt, giving an enthused nod. "Yes, wasn't it? Even more amazing than their transformation into a wisp, almost." she commented, remembering vividly the day keanu had taken his child-like form. Such a wonderful day that had been. She chuckled a bit, remembering how happy Keanu had been to play and be able to touch things again.
Keanu was still waiting, fidgetting excitedly, as youngsters often have the tendency to do. He waved up at Osu again, and looked over to Kami, wondering why they wouldn't hurry up. They might not be able to play long, and that would be a shame indeed, for he had a lot of catching upto do, for all that time spent as a wisp, only able to float about.

Ieyasu nodded. "They're a really interesting race. I guess that's one of the reasons I got involved with this in the first place." As they finally reached the beach, Ieyasu reached up. "Here we go. You ready to walk now?" He lifted Osu down onto the sand gently, smiling at the little kid.
Osu instinctively braced himself as he felt the ground under his feet again. Wobbling a bit, he stood up straight again, trying to regain his balance. He took a little step forward, and then another one. The sand felt different from the path. It was less.. stable. This was going to be a little trickier... Kicking up a little cloud of sand, he made his way over to Keanu.

"Yes, very interesting indeed." Kami smiled, and nodded, moving on the sand, eager to get the hefty bag off of her shoulders. Once on the sand, and in a nice, shady spot, she set it down, breathing a sigh of relief.
Keanu giggled, and moved over to Osu, seeming to notice he was a bit wobbly. "Wanna go by the water?" he asked, looking across te beach at the waves that were washing up gently on the beach. He often enjoyed making a game of running from them as they washed up on shore.

Ieyasu sat down nearby, stretching his long legs out over the sand. Leaning back on his hands, he watched the kids play nearby. He had little doubt that Osu would find his legs properly soon enough. And then, he'd be back to tearing up the place again.
"Uh huh.." Osu grinned at Keanu, before heading off towards the waves. He *would* get the hang of this. All he had to do was practice! It was kinda warm, so being next to the water would be fun. Fire was prettier than water, and more interesting, but playing with water was better than having nothing.
He toddled off towards the waves lapping at the shore. Giggling, he turned to see if Keanu was following.

Keanu followed close by, smiling and moving to catch up as Osu looked back. When they arrived at the water's edge he dug his toes into the cool, damp sand. He giggled as the water washed up over them, and he stumbled back a little, trying to keep his balance as the sand was washed from beneath his feet.
Kami smiled as Keanu and Osu played, and produced a large towel from her bag. "Would you like to sit on this?" she asked, spreading it in the shade. There was plenty of room or two or three.

Startled as the water lapped over his toes and sucked the sand from underneath him, Osu lost the precarious balance that he had and promptly fell over onto his rear. It didn't hurt him at all this time, as the damp sand was soft. The water was nice and cool anyway. Giggling, he looked up at Keanu. He was soaked up to the waist now.
Poking a hand into the shallow water, he splashed it a little. Then, a playful thought came to him. Looking up at Keanu, he splashed a little water at the other Aerandir, a huge grin on his face.
"Ah, nah - I'm good thanks" Ieyasu replied, lounging on the sand next to the large towel. He was quite happy to sit on the sand as it was - it was dry afterall. Lying back, he rested his hand on his hands.
"Hey, did you see that notice about the festival in the community centre?"

Kami blinked a little. She hadn't seen any such notice, but then, she hadn't been around the centre for a while. "No, I don't believe I have. A festival? I'll have to stop with Keanu on our way home." she said, looking over at 'Yasu curiously.
Keanu burst into giggles as Osu fell, and decided to flop down next to him, enjoying the refreshing cool of the water. He gave a surprised laugh when Osu splashed, and splashed right back, snickering mischievously.

"It's over on the other island, apparently. Looks interesting." Hearing an abrupt splash, Ieyasu sat up on his elbows to glance over at the kids playing in the surf. They were ok - just messing about. He could leave Osu to it for a little while yet. It was nice out here afterall.
Osu laughed out loud as the water from Keanu's splashing hit him. This was fun! Using both hands this time, he splashed some more water at his friend. Happily, his sodden tail swept from side to side, cutting a path through the shallow salty water.

"Huh. That does sound interesting. I'll have to check that out." she said, and looked over as well, smirking a bit as she watched their little ones play in the water.
Keanu laughed as well, and tried to retaliate with bigger splashes, flapping his wings in excitement, causing the water to ripple a little behind him. He was nearly soaked by now, and his usually smoothed back hair was becoming quite messy.

Scrambling clumsily to his feet, Osu decided to try walking in the water again. Flailing his arms out for balance, he managed to take a few steps through the shifting sand. Sending out little droplets of water, he took a few more steps, his precarious balance becoming a little better. He was managing to do it! Parading around Keanu (carefully though - he still wasn't very good at this walking business), he kicked a little spray of water outwards away from himself and from Keanu before sitting abruptly down in the water again with a giggle.
"Mm, yeah. I think Osu would enjoy it. Keanu too." Ieyasu grinned, sitting back again. "And if it's a summer festival, I'll need to dig out my yukata too." The kitsune grinned.

Keanu giggled at Osu's efforts, and dug his hands into the sand, lifting up the silty mud and letting it melt from his hand back into the water, looking a little disappointed. Sometimes he could dig up sand crabs, but there didn't seem to be any today. He put his hand back, and kicked both feet it the water, drops flying everywhere as he laughed.
"Yeah, I bet it'd be a good chance to meet all the people I haven't seen yet." she said, chuckling guiltily.

Curiously, Osu watched Keanu as he started lifting handfuls of the wet sand. Why was he doing that? Wanting to ask, but unable to find all the words he wanted, he paused, thinking for a moment. Aha! He had thought of something! Dipping his hands into the water, he scooped up some of the silt in an imitation of what his friend had done. Turning to Keanu, he gestured towards him with the sand, some of the grains slipping though his little fingers.
"Why?"
Ieyasu grinned, nodding. "There's people on the island that I haven't met yet. And plenty that I need to see to thank." The train of thought reminded him. He had yet to thank Kami for the rope. Mentally kicking himself, he turned to the girl beside him.
"Hey.. on that subject. Thanks a lot for the rope. We really appreciated it." He grinned warmly at Kami.
