Nessa kept her gray-blue eyes forward, looking at the path ahead as he horse made its way along at a comfortable trot. In the woods, especially in Fangorn, she wanted to keep at a pace that allowed her to examine her surroundings. With her strawberry blonde hair tigtly and neatly tied back it was kept from wipping around her face making her sight even better and less distracted. She lightly heard her horse's hooves and those of Tyson's steed who was a horse length ahead.
Tyson tried to push his horse forward more, annoyed at the time they had cost talking to the strangers. Business first... he thought knowing that if Gondor called, he was needed. He had traveled to the city of Minas Tirith a few times, but a strange feeling in his stomach told him that things were only going to become more strange.

She shrugged. "They haven't started that much earlier than us and they weren't going particularly quickly to start with. If we can travel quickly we shouldn't be that far behind. If things weren't the way they were I'd suggest we borrow some from the Rohirrim but there are rumours about him and that man's attitude spoke volumes about their suspicion of anyone these days.

Van shook his head, 'I can't think of a day I would want to ask for anything from the Rohirrim.' The rohirrim had a slight prejidice for anyone with Vans background, so he did his best to avoid them. 'Then I guess we should be on our way then.' he said pulling his pack a little higher on his back.

"Let's go then if you've all got everything," Elrothiel said as Van returned to the clearing, "The sooner we start, the closer we are on the riders' heels." She pointed towards the spot where the riders had vanished into the trees. "They went that way, but I think we can save time but veering slightly westwards on less obvious trails."

Van looked at where Elrothiel intended by 'less obvious trails'. 'Theres another trail?' he asked. It all looked like brush to him, but he wasnt one to really hang out in forrests so he couldnt really be counted on as a refrence to finding trails.

Elrothiel nodded as she bent down to scan the route she had suggested following. "Mostly animal trails. It will be harder going but we will save a lot of time. What do you think?"

Walking atop the high wooden walls of Edoras, chainmail boots resounding off the cold planks with a dull thudding, Eroswyn shifted his gaze out to the endless plains, his mind slipping into a state of reminiscence. His thoughts drifted back to the time he had lost some of his friends, and nearly his own life, but was saved thanks to the efforts of a small band of travellers. A few strands of aven coloured hair fell over ebony occuli as a light chuckle escaped the confines of his lips when he recalled the group from weeks past. Had it really been that long? Only a call from one of the fellow watchmen stirred him back to reality, though the exact words were ignored. Eroswyn tended to pay little attention, if any, to his comrades, who were beginning to revere him as an outcast. He was still loyal to Rohan, but had on several occasions spoken out against King Theoden's advisor, Grima. It appeared that only he remained the last one still within the walls of Edoras that saw past the spell that had been cast upon Rohan and it's king. Seldom did its soldiers now take action against the ravaging uruks that pillaged their lands, save for himself and a small handful of his closest friends. A sigh came from his lips, silently cursing himself that he couldn't actively do anything against Grima, for any further open action against Rohan's invaders, would be considered "warmongering" in his eyes, and would result in his banishment, even death. He knew only one person he could talk to without fear of persecution, that being his horse Lunarexion, who had now completely healed it's injuries from the fall during the battle with the wargs. Turning around, he made his way along the wall, heading for the stables.

((Ok, does anyone mind if we move out of the forest? Nobody's really posting while we're stuck in there so I'm going to time jump. Sorry.))
Elrothiel shaded her eyes and looked across the plains. "I can see it." she commented, looking at the home of the Rohirrim. She hadn't been to Eldoras before but had heard positive things about it in the past, even if there were rumours abound now. "It's worth a try." Elrothiel said, frowning down at it. There didn't seem to be a lot of activity in the streets considering the close to proximity to the traitor Saruman.

As Eroswyn made his way through the city, he tried hard to ignore some of the responses that he heard coming from the mouths of the townspeople. One said, "Hey, it's that heretic who's only kept around for his skill in battle", and one of their friends replied, "Tis a shame he's fallen from the light, he used to be one of our best warriors..." Eroswyn simply continued to walk, these comments now a common thing in his ears. Finally arriving at the stables, he made his way to the first stall where he knew Lunarexion waited for him. He didn't hesitate about opening the wooden door, allowing the steed to come out of its confines and make its way to him. He rubbed his head lightly, whispering things to him in so low an audible voice only the two of them could hear it, the speaker and the reciever. His saddle was already mounted on it, the only thing needed now was a rider, which Eroswyn quickly filled. He was tired of the squalor in the streets, a man kept captive in his own home. Eroswyn gave Lunarexion a swift, but gentle kick in the side, and galloped down the streets, soon arriving at the gate, which was quickly blocked by two of his fellow Rohirrim. "Halt Eroswyn, what business have you outside the walls?" Annoyed at the ever increasing investigations against him, he simply replied with a calm, yet still maintained a level of authority that he once had. "Peace, Eorlinga, I am simply going for a leisurely ride, I will stay within eyesight of the walls, trust me. And before you ask why I still don my armour and a weapon, there is no law against bearing arms for self defense." The man hesitated for a moment, pondering on his words, before giving a grunt of approval, stepping aside to nod to the gatekeeper, who quickly opened the gates. Not hesitating to stay within Edoras for one more second, he galloped off into the plains, not sure what his next move would be.

Nessa swiftly and gracefully swung her leg over her horse, pushing her body away from him and landing gently. She took ahold of her horse's reigns and led him to a stream that was wide enough for her horse and Tyson's to drink from. She patted the horse on the shoulder as the horse bent his head down and slurpped up the water, then moved to grazing on whatever seemed edible enough on the plains. She walked over to Tyson who wa ssitting quietly on a small boulder. She pulled out her own waterskin and took a sip, wipping the excess from her mouth with the back of her hand. "How well is our progress so far?" she asked, unsure of where to start a conversation.
"Well.." he looked to the sun which was now high in the sky. It was just after mid-day. "Perhaps we will get to Minas Tirith in four days instead of three so the horses have more of a chance to keep some energy."
Nessa nodded. "That sound fine," she commented simply as she moved some of her strawberry-blonde hair over her shouldern so that it did not fall in front of her eyes. It was strange knowing that home was much farther away now. Usually she was not the one to travel to places like Gondor, but she knew Tyson was more familiar with travel.

Elrothiel watched as a rider emerged from the gates and started to cross the plains towards them. It was too far to make out details but something about the rider struck her as familiar. "Someone's coming." She spoke to the others, still squinting at the figure. It didn't appear to have seen them yet but it was only going to be a matter of minutes.

Eroswyn continued to ride, his steed's hooves thundering across the plains as if the very host of Mordor itself was lashing their whips at it. Many thoughts raced through his head as he continued his trek across terra firma, before finally stopping when his horse seemed out of breath, his leg swinging over the saddle to land on the ground, a few blades of emeraldine grass crunching beneath his boot. He reached into his saddlebag, taking out a flask of water, soon tipping it up to his lips to allow the soothing liquid to trickle down his throat. Once he finished, he set the flask back into his bag, his head turning in the direction of Fangorn Forest, occuli scanning the horizon as if some unknown call beckoned him on, but he stood his ground, unsure if he should risk being pursued by the Rohirrim. He stood there, a war waging inside his mind as he pondered his choices, and wondered if indeed he should continue to Fangorn.

Elrothiel suddenly recognised Eroswyn as he dismounted. She waved at him, grinning, until she realised he wasn't close enough to have seen them yet. She started off down the hill with a run. It was lucky that he was there as it would give them a good idea of the truth of the rumours they had been hearing.
