She smiled and watched as Yokome finished her front. The back of the neck would a be problem . . .
"For the back of the neck you'll need a hand held mirror and a slightly smaller brush. You'll turn around with her your back toward the mirror and you'll the hand held mirror as your guide to paint the back. You want two fine prongs in the back. Do you want me to make an outline for you to help?" Iyasu did her best to help her out. "Also, after you finish your neck, there will be a jar of powder and brush that looks like a puff ball at the end of a stick. Tap that brush into the white powder to smooth out any place on your face and neck. Then after that apply your red lip color, and some to your eyes and then a little bit a pink tinge to your cheeks and you're done!"

Luna couldn't beleive how much fun she'd had with Yukiko, she'd smiled more that day than she had any other time since she was a toddler. Re-entering the Okiya she slipped off the zori and entered going immediatly to her room, Having Thanked Yukiko she promised to try her bea-st and get into the school. "I will do exactly as told and listen well I will practice every day and still keep up my chores." she smiled and sat down on a mat braiding back her hair so she could pull it up and get to work. clearing the hair form her eyes as Yukiko had suggested did light up her face and her pale golden brown eyes shimmered with excitment. "This will be wonderful here!" No matter what she planned to make the best of the situtation. "I hope... I hope Yukiko will take me as her younger sister when she becomes a Geisha, she's beautiful!" Lunar hurried with her hair and headed down to sweep the front hallway and keep it clean.

'An outline would help me greatly Onee-san.' She turned her back to Iyasu-san and handed her the powder and small brush. Meanwhile, Yokome added a little pink for her cheeks and very carefully outlined her lips with a deep red. She then touched up her face, Iyasu had said and then outlined her eyebrows with black and then did the same with her eyes.

She outlined the back of her younger sister's neck with the edge of the smaller brush, creating an unside down 'U' on the back of her neck. She finished it quickly and looked at the time.
"Oh my, we should really get going soon!" Iyasu gasped.

Sadayakko was surprised when she heard a number of maids go past going about various chores and even giggling and doing nothing of importance at all. When she had been a maid, she had stolen some brief moments to draw, but overall, she had scrubbed and washed and cleaned and served maiko and geisha as best she could.
Sadayakko sighed and wondered if any maid had even heard her request for tea. Sometimes she just didn't feel like she had a presence, and yet, she knew that was a key component of becomming a successful geisha.

Luna noticed no one had fetched tea for Sadayakko and quietly she went and got it, entering the room and bowing her head, "Your team Sadayakko-samma sorry it is late." she placed the tray down and bowed her head again in appology her bright pale brown-gold eyes shimmering and now with her hair no longer in her face she didn't look so sad more over because of Yukiko's kindness had lifted her spirits she could go back to sweaping now. "Excuse me." she nodded and turned to pick up her broom yet again since she was sweeping the hall just outside the room.

::Quite exhausted Sasami decided to take a small break. About half a second after she decided this she decided to rather get her chores done so she can take a more liesure afternoon. Sasami took hold of the broom and went about her business sweeping the back stepps as usual.::

She allowed Yokome to finish her make up while she went out to call for a maid. She wanted to make sure everything was set out so that way they could leave to the bar in the Pagoda faster.
"I need a maid to fetch some red zori for me and a black pair for my younger sister." She called out, hoping someone would hear her. She was late as it is.

Yokome rushed to put on the rest of her make-up and then scurried out to the main hallway to find her Onee-san.

Iyasu speedily walked into the main hall to check up on Yokome. A relieved smile creased her ruby lips to see her younger sister ready to go and finished with her make up.
"Yokome-chan, would you please turn around for me, I want to make sure that everything is just right before we go out." The older sister wanted only the best for Yokome. "Yes, I do know we're late, but it's better to be late than to never come at all!"

Tanpopo sat sipping her tea until it was finally gone. She was done with her chores, she believed. She didn't know what to do, so retreated to her room, laying stomach-down upon her futon, and began to write in her diary...
Dear Diary,
Life in the Okiya is fine. I can't wait until I reach maiko status. I don't know when it will happen--if ever...I wait.
Nothing interesting has been happening. I hear some maid hurt herself, such a pity, but otherwise the Okiya is quite. I hate the silence...

kitty-kungfu She was almost finished with her make-up, she touched areas around her neck where the three slender prongs of bare skin were seen. Iyasu finished applying the china white make-up and then picked up a small brush on top of tiny jar filled with what looked like red paint. She opened the jar and dabbed the brush into the red substance. The geisha painted her lips fully in the ruby make-up, before picking up another small brush and applying a small amount to the corner of her eyes.
"What do you think?" She giggled as she mocked the western models by 'stricking a pose.' "Let me see how look before I help you apply your make-up." While Mitsuki was wandering, she came past the two women and said, "Oh, Iyasu-san, you look beautiful!" Mitsuki twirled around a bit. "Do you like my kimono?" Her kimono was a dazzling aqua blue with cherry blossoms embroidered on it. On her fan were little white cranes which were painted against a pale blue background. "This outfit is actually my first nice-looking one, and I feel like a princess when I wear it." She smiled and danced a little bit.

She looked over her shoulder to see who was giving her the complainment. Mitsuki-chan was twirling and dancing about like a school girl. The geisha smiled and bowed a thank you to her.
"You look lovely, Mitsuki-chan." Iyasu nodded toward the spinning maiko, "If you will excuse me, my younger sister and I are about to head out. I hope you have a good evening."

'Yes, Onee-san.' Yokome then took a step back and spun around slowly for Iyasu-san.

With a keen eye she studied Yokome. Everything seemed right, except for her obi. It was not dangling the way it should be. She paused Yokome for a moment and fixed the obi the way it should be for a miniari.
"There done! Let's go now!" Iyasu grinned to her younger sister. She took out two pairs of zori, a black pair for Yokome and red pair for herself. She slipped hers on and hurried out the door.
