o_o Alright, I need some sort of referral to an artist that does regular commishes for non-exorbitant amts of money and who doesn't have an auction going...
because ALL of my commish orders in the past three months have fallen through, with the exception of ONE group/family shot I ordered that is taking its sweet time.
gonk I'm pretty bad about getting 'art' done on time myself, so I don't blame any of the artists-
...But I'm seriously goin' through withdrawal, here. eek

XD; most of the artists I know who do that are... well, you know, occupied. If you are willing to just take a headshot, I think RikProwley at Kellion is open.

Uhh...not to plug myself inappropriately, but my commission list is completely open. I don't think my prices are totally insane...I charge about $35 for a full-body watercolor pic.
By the way, fishing for ideas here...if you want to know more, PM me.
If you were to listen to a radio show about art (making and collecting), are there any topics you'd be particularly interested in hearing about or ranting about?

Any commissioning of me would result in a monthlong wait, lol.
As for artradio... hur... I'd like a regular show, someone who does it every week or something. And something on art marketing. and maybe some tutorial-ish stuff (dunno how'd you pull that off without visuals, though?

Maybe interperting stuff or compairing famous peoples styles. ALSO the history of the artists. That is not usually gone into. *nod* Maybe a helpline for people who are ... well artistic suicidals. I know that sounds horrible but I saw staggering information once about people who are artistic being more prone to depression and suicide. xp

Good luck, Em - I'm waiting a long time on almost all of the commissions I've started trades for :/ - it really can be disconcerting sometimes. I've half a mind to start up another contest, as i've been art-fiending.... but it's a lot of work in the maintenance...

That really would be an undertaking, starting up another AC. ...Sometimes I think it's the only way to get good art without shelling out half your limbs on some of these auctions, though. o_o (Strange sidebar, too- since I started wearing the miniwings... people in the R&C have actually been a) paying more attention to me, and b) offering me better prices. o_o It's utterly bizarre.))

I never understood what's up whith those ugly i-pod ms paint pictures. And now I can't take it anymore I gotta know why they are everywhere. gonk What's the deal????? Do they have to me that ugly and all look the same???? Do you have them in your mp3 player or what??? confused

Em - I actually think that they go pretty well with your ensamble, too biggrin
And I think i'm biting the bullet. I'm fiending for art too badly and my patience is beginign to wear thin on waiting for all of these commissions to come in. Not that I mind waiting for art, but I just have so many that I've been waiting several months on..... :/

But you know they are like a black siluette of a person on a brightly colored background, then they have ear thingys and an ipod mp3 player wich is often white. EDIT: Found on google (so no gaian will hit me)
