((No, no. It's much simpler than a spell. But here's a quick revelation to give you.))

Moria stopped suddenly. "Remember out front? When Hyn took the fire? Well, one of the colors was green, wasn't it? This fire has got to have something to do with that... can we collect it somehow?" Moria tilted her head sideways. "Did anybody else notice it's not giving off any smoke?"

She was right, there was no smoke. Link really should have paid better attention before he plunged his hand in, "Well it's not very hot, I suppose I could use my empty bottle," the boy responded, 'But then what will I threaten Gus with?' He quickly shook the thought from his head and pulled out the empty glass bottle. With a single swooped, he scooped up the green flame then closed the cap.

With a small portion in his bottle, that particular task was complete. The problem of escaping still existed, however. "So... any ideas? Could the fire still have something to do with our escape? I mean, we know it's not natural... no smoke, very cold. I don't see the wood being consumed," Moria added, tilting her head.

"Maybe there's a hint in the paintings," Link suggested, the staff still in his left hand and the bottle in his right.

"Or maybe we're supposed to go up the chimney," suggested Zelda, a hint of teasing in her voice. The next second, though, her face was utterly serious. "I would usually be the last one to suggest this, but maybe I should just blow down the door; we're running very short on time."

"Uh... great. I was gonna suggest that." Gus said, looking around. He then looked towards the door, and said, "Man... if only I wasn't so... small, and had my sword... I might be able to hold him off... at least for us to get away..."

"Well, when you're joking, you're a load cleverer than when you really try thinking," a duel-tone voice informed Zelda. In the doorway stood Hyn. "Hide things in plain sight. It's the best way to make sure no one will actually ever find him." Hyn's face was in a sort of sick grin. It somehow contained smugness and fury in one. His sword was in hand, and he habitually hefted it every few moments. "You can fight me, and I'd be willing to perhaps free more fire if you win. Or you can make a run for the chimney, and have to try to fight me off as I come."

Moria grimaced. "I don't suppose you'd fight us all at once?"

"If it makes you feel better about dying, why not?" Hyn asked cheerily. "Come now, make a decision, and don't let that little pest of a girl make it for you."

"Sure so you can attack us as we climb, I don't think so," Link replied, dropping the staff to the ground then pulling out his master sword, the bottle still resting in his right hand. His sword now drawn, he challenged the man to battle.

"Ah, good. You will give me something to do, it gets awfully boring. Hyn isn't much for conversation. Ah, but my fun must be short. Oh well." Then Hyn made a strange sweeping motion with an arm, and in four places, boards near Link's feet shattered. Four massively thick vines burst from within, and instantly began flailing about, but with more purpose than it would seem. Every little while, one would sweep down and attempt to knock Link a good distance.

"Now, I'll actually fight you if you can find a way out of that one. I suppose it's simple enough, cutting the vines off, but then you have to keep your eyes on all of them, don't you?" Hyn chuckled.

Moria drew the Kokiri sword from its sheath. "Come on. Have you no honor left?" she called.

Hyn frowned, turning to the girl. "Don't meddle. You've given me enough trouble already, and the only reason I haven't killed you is because this is too entertaining.

"Zelda - Link can probably handle himself. Hopefully. Let's do something about this stuck up excuse for a man, shall we?" Moria suggested.

Link carefully began to analyze the situation. On all sides the vines seemed to flail at him. If he hacked away at one, another would attack, and if he stood still, they all would.
An idea suddenly hit the boy as he tucked away the bottle and withdrew the clawshot. Perhaps if he could propel himself from plant to plant like he did in the maze, he could kill them all before they had a chasnce to strike. Quickly the boy launched his attack and was sent flying towards one of the plants, his sword ready to swing.

Zelda opened her mouth to protest, then closed it and nodded tersely. She couldn't believe she'd been arrogant enough to assume that going up a chimney wasn't actually a viable option. Not-Hyn's jibe had hurt more than should have; maybe she wasn't actually cut out for this sort of thing. The spoiled little princess hadn't wanted to get soot in her hair. She set her jaw and followed Moira.

Foolishly, Moria tried to rush Hyn. It took all of two seconds for him to throw her past him, but he didn't kill her. Instead he passed by her and moved for Zelda. "I don't intend to let you get to too much spell-casting, princess. It's irksome," not-Hyn said ((I like that name)), casually moving towards her.

Link, off fighting the vines, had made a good decision. Not only did his attack propel him into a fine position to defeat the vines, but the other vines were not so intellegent as to hold their strikes back from each other. So when Link missed a strike, the other plants took care of it for him, until he'd managed to defeat them all, almost in record time.

Zelda smiled grimly. "The road to hell is paved with good intentions. I'm going to assume that that statement is subjective." With those words she made a sweeping gesture over her head, spinning around, and, just for an instant, she was contained and partially obscured by what looked like an enormous, partially transparent pink gemstone; just as quickly it was gone, but something had changed.

More specifically, the person standing there had changed. For one thing, she--he, was no longer exactly the same...gender. He wore a tight blue and black outfit, with a white chest that had the disturbing insignia of a stylized eye crying an enormous tear stitched onto it. His lower face was completely covered by white cloth, and his ears and most of his hair were similarly obscured by a white head wrap; only his blood red eyes and some messy red-gold bangs were allowed to peek through.

The red eyes met not-Hyn's as the boy pulled two long knives from sheaths on his back in one fluid, well practiced motion. "There," he said softly. His smooth voice was deeper than Link's, and a hell of a lot more dangerous. "You succeeded. I plan on no more spell-casting."

As the last of the vines withered away, aproud smirk appeared on Link's face, though almost immediately it seemed to fade, replaced quickly by a look of determination as he turned towards the seperate battle. It would seem that a new player had entered the field, 'Red eyes, a sheikah?' He thought as he examined the boy, but it did not matter, as long as whoever this was, was there to help. With that thought in mind, the Hylian boy dashed off into battle, his sword held out before him.

Not-Hyn growled. "So you can turn into a Sheikah. Won't do you a bit of good; you're fighting on my terrain." He took a few steps forward, then stopped for a moment. More vines burst up from the ground, but nowhere near his opponents; instead, they surrounded him for a split second, in a similar manner to Zelda's gemstone, but when they departed, it was still Hyn; he was simply armored in a strange combination of steel and wood - wood, apparently, wherever the steel was missing. It wasn't a full plate affair; mostly the armor covered important locations, like shins, joints, chest, and head, and nothing else. "Very well then. I'll fight you as I am now." Not-Hyn's eyes narrowed slightly, and he began to slowly advance, shield carried lightly but within a quick move to proper defensive positions.

Moria groaned. "Hyn's armor is pretty tough. You can break through it, but it won't be easy - you might hurt yourself doing it. Aim for weak spots, but better yet, try not to hurt him!"
