Dragon Nest players are antisocial. D: Not one person has been running around asking for people to join them. NOT ONE! Dx In WoW, people would at least ask to join or make groups. I've been jumping on houses doing nothing for the past hour. D;

I blame the gold sellers. I can't read normal chat at all.

That said, I like it. No random friend requests, no party requests, and none of those goddamn guild invites.

GOD.

I made my own guild in GW just so I stopped getting those.

I AM PLAYING VIDEO GAMES BECAUSE I PREFER THEM OVER FRIENDS, GO THE ******** AWAY!

I can't read the chat either. And there are so many bots too. And there aren't any friend requests because you can't stop people from adding you. Plus the users seem to be antisocial enough already. And I want to play video games so I can play with friends. D8 Only, I can't play with them, so I'm doomed to house hopping! I'm still trying to get to this third house without falling. :l It's a toughie.

That sucks.

I'd offer to play with you, but I am mad at that game right now because every time I d/c I have to restart.

And I require nachos.

Lots of nachos.

I'm interested in this Catherine game that just came out. Looks interesting. Alas, I have yet to buy MvC3.

Will you be waiting until Ultimate MvC3 comes out to pick it up?

Seems like the PW fans got their wish, and their favorite attorney is finally entering the fray.

So I'm midway through disc 2 of Final Fantasy IX and I want to get some things off my chest. There shouldn't be any spoilers.

- This game needs an information button really badly. Half the abilities/spells are pretty obvious, but then I hit stuff like High Tide or Matra Magic and I have to look up what it does in a battle mechanics guide. I'm guessing that these names are used throughout the FF series and I would know what all of them do if I started at FF1, but that's never really an excuse for withholding information.

- Back attacks are stupid. They work in games like EarthBound and Persona because you see the enemies onscreen and have the ability to sneak up on them; here it just comes down to random chance. mad

- On a story/character development level, I don't have a problem with splitting the party for large sections of the game. Having fewer characters around means more focus on each of them, and exploring a few different areas at once gives you more opportunities to advance the plot or show how things are going elsewhere. On a gameplay level, it means I get to go long stretches of time without a healer. I wouldn't remove this over it, but I wish they'd at least give you a second character that can learn Cure spells or something.

- I don't have a problem with Zidane as a character, but as of right now he seems like an odd choice for the protagonist. If I was ranking party members on their importance to the plot, he'd probably be in the bottom half of the list. Aside from initially kidnapping Garnet, the main reason he's been visiting most places is because another character has reasons for wanting to go there and he decides to go along and help out. I'm guessing he becomes more important later in the game, but right now I'd argue that Garnet would make more sense as the protagonist.

I am enjoying the game despite these complaints, though. It probably won't hit my all-time favorites list, but it's been pretty interesting so far and I'll probably replay it sometime until I get sidetracked by Tetra Master.

I'm going to do my best to address these without spoilering anything.

-Select toggles help tooltips on and off. They tell you that in one of the Mogster tutorials, but I can't blame you for not going through those, they are way tl;dr.

-I think there's a passive you can activate to prevent back attacks. Only one person in your party has to have it equipped.

-I actually thought they did a really good job of splitting up the party most of the time; in the earlygame, where Garnet wasn't, Freya was (Reis' Wind casts Regen on the whole party, something you might not have known if you weren't using tooltips.) But by the end of the game, you'll have 3-5 characters capable of reliably and effectively healing the party depending on the situation and how much s**t you go out of your way to get. (PROTIP: Try your best to collect/conserve Phoenix Pinions. You want to stock up 99 of these. Badly.)

-The farther you get, the more sense it'll make. Also, he is my favorite FF protagonist ever. heart
