"Yes, Kanna seems terribly busy." Quinn kept his pace the same as hers. It was a paced that prevented mistakes. It made work thorough, "To answer your question, I cannot be sure. Yule has given me guidance, but I feel he does not tell me everything. Just as you hold something back yourself, but that's a different story."

With the work drawing to completion, Quinn stepped back and allowed Kiran to busy herself alone, "The timing of the wedding is difficult, but part of me feels I may be leaving beforehand."

The tension in her shoulders changed, though her tone remained even "The wedding was what I was holding back. How can you think to leave before, if you're the best man?"

Carefully she finished her work and moved on to another task. She'd been rather useless beyond a few instances here or there, and now to be doing something...Kiran couldn't stop moving.

Quinn chuckled slightly, knowing full well what Kiran was thinking. How could he leave, if Remus still needed a best man and a speech to be made? Yule worked in strange ways, and despite whether or not Remus would be angry, Quinn followed his god's will fully. He drew all his power from the Lord of Time, it was the least he could do.

"There are others who could stand in my place, although I understand that Remus would like me to be there." Quinn answered earnestly, "But he also understand the faith I have in Yule's ways. Time flows through us all, Kiran, and Gods control that. If they think I need to be moving again, then that's what I have to do."

Kiran was quiet for a moment, the only noise her carefully organizing bandages. "You do realize if you are to teach me, he's losing one more family member along with his best man to the whims of the Gods? I won't be dead, but I'll still be gone--out of contact. You were never precisely reliable when it came to being present, Mr. Siddel."

Bandages tidied she moved to the next gurney, stripping away the soiled bedding.

"You'll be gone, but far from out of contact. I've developed a spell that would prevent that." Quinn quickly interjected, wanting avoid that conflict, "All Remus would have to do is mail a letter without a return address, and it would find its way to us."

Quinn wasn't sure on how to respond to the comment about losing the family member. Yes, Remus had lost many a family, but he wouldn't, in all actuality, be losing Kiran. The matter was convincing her of seeing this.

"Remus would be able to get ahold of us whenever necessary." Quinn spoke again after a pause, "It would be as simple as a Teleport spell, and we would be back in the Lotus base. As for not being reliable when it comes to being present, even teachers can learn things from their students. There are things we could teach each other."

"Do not take my hesitation as a lack of interest in learning." Kiran said as she moved to the cupboard to fetch new linens, "But I am very loyal to my family and it's difficult to consider missing a wedding just for my own education, when there's few other people in the family to be there. It's as much for Remus as for myself. I'll admit that much selfishness."

She moved back to the gurney and began to put the linens on. "You do make a powerful argument, but if at all possible I'd like to delay. If not... I do understand, as much as I may not like to. I'll at least still be alive, still able to come back."

"I understand your feelings toward your cousin. I've known Remus for more than twenty years." Quinn mused slightly but then become serious, "But, regardless of when the wedding is, when Yule tells me that it is time to go, then I will leave. I would rather not miss the wedding and I pray that Yule allows me to stay, but..."

Quinn's voice trailed off. He could feel roughly where Remus was within Signet; his aura was faint. Thoughts of what was to come came into mind, thoughts of the wedding, the reception, and various other things in mind. It was a lot to take in, but that was what Time did to people.

"I will continue my prayers to Yule." Quinn came back into focus, "I will ask for a delay. He likely will not give much time, but even Yule has family."

She nodded, quiet as she thought. If she was so loyal she wouldn't be here preparing beds for the wounded... but Kiran also knew her limits, and getting herself killed did nothing for anyone. Going and learning, despite the immediate consequences, would be better in time. "Thank you, Quinn." She finally said softly as she finished up with the current gurney. "I'll go pack a few things just in case, so I'm ready if need be. You know where to find me, yes?"

"Kiran, I am a Telepath and a mage." Quinn responded cheerily, spinning toward the bed he had been resting on to grab his staff, "I can find any person in this city in a matter twenty minutes."

With a smile on his face, "I'll find you if I need you, I have some things to take care of as well. Packing, a letter to write, people to speak with, prayers to make. The list goes on!"

In the blink of an eye and a quick flash of light, Quinn was gone. He likely disappeared off to his room, or to a worship room. When Quinn disappeared, very few people knew where he went.

Sasha wandered around the Bastet stronghold bored, but not knowing where the others were, she had to be content to stay and wait for them, and she was extremely bored. She sighed again, but perked up when she realised that this meant she could go flying in the big entrance hall (tell me if i'm describing it wrong, but i was imagining like a mansion? oh, and she's still only like 12 in case thats confusing) She ran to the top of the stair case, and decided on a small swallow, that way she would have more room. She groaned a little as her muscles and bones reshaped themselves, but the she was used to the pain, and she always loved the end result. Shaking out her feathers, she hopped over tp the top of the staircase and then took off with a joyous flap of her wings.

She started a little when he disappeared, blinking to clear the spots from her eyes. "If he makes that a habit...." Kiran muttered to herself, the ending too low to be deciphered.

Carefully she finished up what she was doing in the infirmary, and then moved back to her room to begin packing what little belongings she'd managed to accumulate in her time with the Lotus. Kiran couldn't help but muse to herself that her life fit into a single bag. She probably could have kept working and bothered later with how quick it was to pack up.

Instead, however, she moved to the training room and started the familiar warm-ups. She'd inform everyone of her decision when the time was right.

Lyra Tyr
Sloth blocked the attack before slashing at her stomach just as the grey power finally began to wrap itself around Obsidian. She grinned before flying backwards, "Try to esacpe Lady Kari's power now. It won't work."

--

Tyran sighed, pulling back and wincing as her nails finally came out of his shoulders, "I'm....glad you're back."

Kari's fangs lengthened as she sent Dorien across the room, her normal pale eyes now pitch black, It seems you are the same warrior as I remember. she said, walking over to him, The Father I knew wouldn't allow himself to get so...weak. she knelt down and grabbed his neck. the darkness around them slowly crawling up to cover them both, Once I am done with you, I'll make sure that your precious Magnolia joins you! her voice was calm as her nails pierced his neck. She was a far cry from the scheming elf form before. Once her circlet had been taken off, the beast truly took over. As well as that son of yours.

Merlin sighed behind Kari, "Now, that's just plain rude." The shadows rose up abruptly, no obeying Merlin and engulfed the two of them. Merlin rolled her eyes up as if she were thinking, her hands gesturing minutely. Force pulled Kari off of her father and shoved her away. Dorien was dropped out the bottom while Kari stayed trapped inside inky blackness, Tyran. She called.

Goldie smiled and wrapped her arms around Tyran's neck, planting her lips on his, it was a gentler kiss than before because she was a bit tired. Her previously gold armour now had red accents, clearly a bit of Lust residue but Lust was completely gone. She pulled back and was about to say something when she heard that woman speak in her head, calling Tyran.

Obsidian stiffened, feeling discomfort she knew would morph into pain any moment. Think, think! She told herself furiously, she had just enough energy for one last teleport....An idea suddenly sprung into her head and she smirked wickedly. Tilting her head, she said, "Have you ever met my mother?" Abruptly, Obsidian moved forward and grabbed Sloth's shoulder. In the next instant they were in the halls of the dark faery realm palace, "MAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!" Obsidian screamed as pain wracked her body and she collapsed onto the floor.

An instant later, Winistruya was there. She'd felt the instant her daughter had come home and in the same instant had felt she was in trouble. She appeared in battle regalia, simple gown overlayed with battle armour. A rather large sword gripped in her head. She was beautiful and utterly terrifying, her usually cerulean blue eyes now red as blood she expected to spill and cold as ice. Her gaze narrowed on Sloth, "Release my daughter."

Karrot Gaaron

A timer rang in the back of the room and Karrot stood up and walked to the oven, His cake pans all had a stone circle attatched to the bottom so he could easily take them out of the oven without burning his hands. he set the cake pans on a new stone table and let them cool, he walked over to the first table and pulled together the ingredients he would need for the four types of frosting and glanced at the Brothers in the corner. They were in a deep sleep. 'Let them rest, if I had gone through that, I would want a nap myself. Now, for this frosting....'
Karrot mixed together four types of frosting, from dark chocolate up to a light vanila. then he set the bowls of frosting next to the cakes and set the timer again so the cakes could cool. Karrot sat down and reached into his bag, removing a book which he proceeded to read.

[Mama to the rescue!]

Kari narrowed her eyes before slipping out of the power, light landing on her feet, Ah yes...Father told me so much about you. she said quietly, her black eyes only a void as she looked at her, The one darkness himself taught...but it seems youdon't know much of me. I too control darkness.

As I control the light. Tyran answered as he appeared just as he separated himself from Goldie. He blushing fiercely, but to see Dorien's unconscious form lying prone upon the floor ended that quickly. Kari, I don't want to hurt you even after you attacked Goldie. You're my sister..my only sister. he said a bit surprised that he was speaking so calmly, Your place is within the darkness of the forest you created and not Signet where Dorien takes care of this world along with the other Ten. If you don't realize that then I have no choice but to stop you. he glanced over at Dorien's body and wasn't surprised when he saw it wasn't there, Please Kari, time is running out for you to have a choice.

Interesting speech brother... Kari replied, I have heard something like it so many times before. Every elf that has tried to stop me has failed, and even though you are my blood, how can you possibly defeat me when I defeated our own father?

Easily.. Dorien replied behind her, grabbing her arms and forcing them behind her back, Esapecially when your opponent wasn't truly down for the count. he looked at Tyran as Kari tried to throw him off, but he wasn't budging, She has no choice Tyran. Trap her with your light. I shall see to it that she doesn't leave where I'm taking her.

Tyran paled at just exactly what he was talking about, Very well... he replied before closing his eyes, his body surrounded by white as he summoned his bow, a strand of hair becoming an arrow, "Goodbye..sister.." he murmured before sending the arrow straight towards her. Kari cried out, letting a clearly inhuman roar escape her throat as the arrow pierced her and letting the darkness within her try to escape, but it only made a cocoon around her as a white cage surrounded her and forced Dorien to back away, which he did gladly.. The noise suddenly stopped once the cocoon was fully formed.

Tyran blinked at the thing before looking at Dorien, What will happen now? The Leader said nothing as he looked at the cage until finally, I'll take her to her true home... he said before disappearing with the cage.

--

Wrath suddenly cried out in mid-flight as the darkness left her, the pain almost unbearable. She fell to the ground with the changes already reversing to Malen's true form. Rike caught her just in time as Lina breathed a sigh of relief, "I'm guessing that whatever they tried worked..." he said with a smile.

--

Sloth merely smiled and would have said something, but only a loud scream came out as the darkness left her as well, slowly returning her to Monaleth's older form. Her hair remained streaked with purple as were her eyes, but her flute did return..except the image of a dragon was carved upon it.

((Hell, yeah! Too bad she didn't actually get to do anything.))

Winistruya raised an eye brow in interest as she returned to Monaleth, she didn't quite remember the woman's name but she recognized her as Merlin's second. Her sword and armour disappeared and her eyes returned back to normal. She knelt down next to her daughter and brushed her hair out of her face, "How are you feeling, baby girl." She cooed.

"Sore...." Obsidian winced then looked disgusted, "Can't even solve a problem without you getting involved..." She sighed.

Her mother raised a brow, "Well, you're welcome." She said, her voice only slightly clipped, her expression softened, "You must remember, you are still quite young." Her attention shifted to Monaleth, "And you? How do you feel?"

Merlin stood by calmly, a rather proud smile tilting her lips a little.

Goldie glanced at Merlin, "You're....kinda scary."

Merlin chuckled and dropped a curtsie, disappearing as shadow reared up and swallowed her up.

The World Snake, more recently known as Copper stilled when the snakes started to disperse, leaving only her children. She coiled up and settled, her children retreating and, disappearing as well. When they were all gone, Copper slithered out the front door.

Goldie sideled up next to Tyran, slipping her hand in his and resting her head on his shoulder, "That was awesome..." She purred lovingly.
