“Likes of me?” Rave didn’t react as the sword was down in a neutral manner but ready to come back if the demon attacked again. He gave Gambler a slight nod, however. He would behave but only for as long as Monty permitted it. The elf wasn’t going to allow the redhead to throw a temper tantrum over some mysterious fight that no one really knew much about other than whom it involved while they all got slaughtered over it. It wasn’t going to happen. “What do you mean, Monty?”

The demon growled and turned to point his sword at Joker. "If you take a step towards me I'm going to rip you from the inside out." He snarled as Joker yelped and stayed where he was, watching the demon cautiously. Ignoring Rave's question he stared at Gambler. "Looks like your pet is here to save you, heathen." He growled and glared at her.
"Come near me again, I swear on my life I'll bring the end of the world before it's appropriate time. While I do that, I'll make your pet elf suffer worse than what he went through." Turning sharply on his heels, he started to walk away. The boss closed her eyes and let her body relax, sagging where she was on the ground.

Eyes widening just slightly, it wasn’t long before Rave’s sword was gone in a mass of shadows and he was kneeling on the ground beside Gambler. He cupped her cheek as he kissed her gently, whispering, “What happened, Gambler?” Rave didn’t go after Monty or even attempt to figure him out as his eyes were solely on the woman in front of him. Before she was able to answer, he spoke to Joker without looking, “Joker, do you mind doing me a favor?” He gave the information of where Kalore was, keeping his voice quiet in case Monty decided to actually go after Kalore next, for whatever reason that there was… “Check on him and keep him from doing anything…stupid, please.”

Joker blinked and nodded, having his lips in a firm, grim line as he left quickly without so much as a word. Which was obvious as he sped walked to Kalore's location and entered. "Kalore?" He said softly, walking around to find the elf. "Kalore? Are you hear?"
The boss sighed softly and touched Rave's cheek. "Something is hurting him Rave. He just....needed to let it out. Nothing's wrong with me alright?" She smiled slightly. "I'm just going to hang out right here until I can feel my body again. In the meantime, I want you to not think about this as much okay? You have Dusk to take care of right? No one can know that this is happening because they might use it against her something. I think I'm paranoid." She blinked. "Just....When I get better I'm going to talk to Monty again. He needs time to gather himself."

Kalore was there but he wasn’t moving. Curled on his side in a ball, his eyes were open but he was unseeing, simply staring into a wall as his eyes were faded and dark. He couldn’t believe that he had done this… Kalore understood why Monty was upset, but why didn’t he talk to him? Why didn’t he ask him what it was that was going on? He barely heard the man’s voice as there was something nearing a whimper coming from his lips. Monty got violent when he was upset and hurt, but Kalore shut down. He was shutting down worse now than he had in a long, long time.
Stroking the woman’s hair, Rave sighed softly, nodding. “I know that I need to watch over her but… At least go somewhere where he’s not going to attack you again. You need to rest.” Kissing her again, he sighed softly. “Do what you need to do but… if you’re going to get hurt then I don’t want you hurting yourself more, Gam. You’re still weak.” Sin had taken a lot out of her and all of them knew that. What he didn’t understand, though, was what was going on with the redhead out there. How could the man do all of this? He knew that there had to be something that was causing it but… who knew what it was?

Gambler smiled. "Shush you. Go do your duty to Dusk alright? I'll....I'll be fine and if I come back with a broken something it will heal over quickly." The boss struggled to get up, wincing at the pain in her ribs but sat up and kissed Rave softly. "And I'm not weak Rave. That's coming out of your pay check and your on the couch for like....three days." She scolded, pinching his cheek to lighten up this depressing mood until they parted ways to continue to figure out what the hell was going and helping Dusk get her place among her people.
Sighing softly, Joker came to kneel next to Kalore and took out his pocket flashlight flicking it on to see if he reacts to it. The doctor in him started to pull and poke the elf's face gently. "Snap out of it Kalore. Sheesh you elves are like....Emo." He said rather bluntly as he recalled Dusk having that big fight with Kyoshi and having to talk with her to calm her down and just for her to open up a bit to trust someone who wasn't going to judge her. "If you don't stop this....I'm going to stick you with some needles and then if Monty finds out he's going to kill me. Let's not do that because he will rip me slowly, limb for limb." He said in a creepy voice as he checked the elf's pulse.

Kalore’s eyes didn’t react enough to the light to be considered responsive as he didn’t even react to the touches or words that Joker gave. He simply stared off into the wall and didn’t even blink when the man spoke about attacking him with needles. Kalore had never been phobic of them so he didn’t have the internal fear… nor did he mind the other touching him. It wasn’t like he could feel much of it, actually. He could feel something… but who knew what it was? He didn’t see the man with red hair that he wanted to see so… what did it matter? If Rave hadn’t gotten a reaction out of him, why would Joker?
Rolling his eyes, Rave leaned down and kissed her again. “You’ll miss me.” Winking, he stood up and helped her to a place where she would be more comfortable, smiling just a bit. “Call me if you need me. I need to go to Kyoshi first, then I shall return to Dusk.” Another kiss and he spoke again, “Be safe.” Shadows soon took him and Rave was gone, standing in front of Kyoshi’s apartment building, sighing. “I really don’t want to be here…” But he knocked anyway, knowing that Dusk wanted Kyoshi to hear something from her.

Sighing softly, the insane man picked up Kalore easily and took him to lay down in the couch. Getting some pillows and finding a blanket he settled the elf there all comfortable. After that he went to get a chair and sat next to the elf, watching him. "Kalore? Would you like to talk about it? Perhaps it's not my business but if you want help figuring out a demon I could tell you."
Gambler chuckled and nodded. "I bet I would miss you too." She murmured, letting Rave go to do his work. Yet she wasn't finish. Though it didn't hurt to take a breather and let the demon cool off.
Hearing a knock on the door, Kyoshi opened it to reveal Rave and raised a brow at the elf. "If your hear to b*tch at me, I'm not going to listen or care." The angel was wiping his hands on a washcloth. "What brings you here?" Did something happen to Dusk that he was needed? What the hell?! He was going to make those that hurt his woman regret the day they were born for sure.

On normal circumstances, the man would have freaked at being lifted up by someone that he didn’t know all that well. He really did like Joker but there were just some things that people didn’t do to one another when they weren’t that close. Kalore did nothing, however, but simply stare into the wall. What all was going on with him? The blonde said nothing but his body seemed to flinch at the mention of the redheaded demon. How could he have done something like this to him? Why? Why would he hurt him like this? Couldn’t Monty just listen? He knew that the demon had a reason to be upset, but this was ridiculous! He didn’t even listen… he didn’t let Kalore say anything… he just tossed him out like some trash that had been stinking up his house. Maybe that’s what the demon thought of him, though… maybe that’s all he had really been to him.
Rave had smiled just a bit at Gambler but the smile was dropped at Kyoshi’s entrance. “I had a message from the princess but if you don’t want it then that’s fine.” He shrugged, giving a bit of a wave. “My apologies on disturbing you. Good day.” Did he seriously think that Rave was going to go out of his way to speak with Kyoshi if he didn’t have to? The man only did that for a few people… and most of the time, even then it was just for the sake of gaining information and relaying messages. The message wasn’t direly important, however, so… Kyoshi could just crawl back into his hole.

Kyoshi blinked and shrugged. "Fine then. If Dusk happens to call me and ask if I got her message and tell her no, she's going to be a very upset Queen. Something I think neither of us want when it comes to her." He loved her to death but being on the receiving end of her temper was NOT something he wanted for anyone.
"Alright, alright, alright. I'll tell you anyways since it hurts and well your going to ignore me anyways." He grumbled, sitting back so that he can be comfortable and not let the elf hurt himself. "So....Did you know that Monty almost cut Gambler's head off? If it wasn't for Rave stopping him with his sword we could have been out of a job and lost a good friend......I was there but he had me pinned with that look, you know?"

Rave didn’t chuckle but there was amusement in his eyes, “And you think that that horrible anger will go out on me? When she hears what your immediate response to me was then it won’t be me that she’ll be angry with.” The amusement only grew as he walked off, knowing that the only thing that he had to tell him was that he was allowed in Ellwood. That wasn’t huge information… of course not! Granted, he couldn’t leave the manor… but that was okay. He could take that. He could just be there for Dusk and no one else had to see him… but that had just been what everyone had agreed on.
Joker was right in thinking that Kalore was just going to ignore him, but his body curled tighter against him as he heard what had happened. The elf didn’t really listen but it was hard to fight off the instinct of wanting to protect one’s friends… but when he cared so much about the attacker, even now, it made it hard to pick which side to go against. Instead of thinking of it, he finally just closed his eyes. He didn’t want to listen to Joker, he didn’t want to see him, hear him, sense him… nothing. He just needed someone that wouldn’t pity him, wouldn’t bother him… maybe he should just go back to his old job. Kalore didn’t have near the problems. Well… when he was high or drugged or something then he didn’t have the problems.

Joker then closed his eyes. "Then you know what Gambler did? She didn't do nothing. She just let the demon have at it. I don't think he was going to really kill her. Not the right time yet but then Rave was asking him what was going on and threatened him. I'm pretty sure he might hurt Rave if he got close enough. Might give him rabies...Not a good thing to have." He shuddered and tucked Kalore more comfortably with the blanket.
Blinking, Kyoshi shrugged and closed the door. It didn't seem like it was an important message so he closed the door, even if he should have asked the elf what was said. Though the only reason why the angel said what he said was because he didn't want problems with the elf and assumed that it was his fault that Dusk couldn't get in with being a Queen.

Body curling in more, the man’s eyes were closed tighter. Kalore didn’t want to hear this. He really, really, really didn’t want to hear this. What he wanted was to be alone and when Joker went up to tuck him in more, he shook his head as he touched his hand. “Go, Joker.” His voice wasn’t hurt or insulted or emotional but was monotone… completely void of any emotion as his eyes never opened. Kalore didn’t want to deal with any of this… he was just going to rest, try Monty again, and if that didn’t work… if that didn’t work then he was gone. There just wasn’t anything else that he could imagine doing. “Please, just go.”
Rave was back in Ellwood and it only took minutes for Kyoshi’s phone to be ringing. The elf was right. He was safe but Kyoshi… not so much. Dusk was growling as she yelled into the phone before Kyoshi would even be able to speak, “What the hell was that?! Sending away Rave?! He was going to tell you that you could come here, damnitt!” She stomped her foot as there was a council member just steps away from her, watching her in shock. Maybe Dusk really was the king’s child… the temper didn’t come from her mother.

Kyoshi stared at the phone and held it far away from his ear as he answered it, listening to Dusk rant. Rolling his eyes, he shrugged and started making things. "Then if I could come to your land why not tell me yourself instead of letting the other elf who doesn't get along with me, tell me?" He snarled back only to be heard not to be an a**hole to Dusk. "Sheesh woman...Calm down before them people think your insane."
Joker twitched and took his hand back. "No." He said and sat back watching the elf. "If you make me, I'm going to break your house to pieces. If you touch me, I might go berserk. Let's not do that. Rave would kill me with a brush, Gambler would blow torch me and Monty will hang me upside down from my toe with my intestines......Tell me to leave and one of those three things will happen." There was no way in hell he was going to leave the elf alone like this.

Dusk growled back into the phone as the councilman stepped back. This was a bit scary, actually… and now he was understanding why it was him that had to deal with this instead of the older, wiser men. This woman was insane. “Oh hush! He was the one that was here, Kalore’s gone somewhere, and I can’t leave this damn place! I’m getting ‘primped’ or whatever the hell they wanna call this hellish treatment.” She glared at the person that was fitting her for a dress, wanting desperately to scream loudly and freak out more. Dusk was already hating all of this but at least she had Rave to calm her down. She wanted Kyoshi, though.
“Damn it, just leave me alone!” Shouting at the other, Kalore was finally standing up as he was thankful to be able to hold onto something other than pity and despair. Anger. It had been a long a** time since he had been able to hold onto that. “What happened happened and I can’t fix it, you can’t fix it, no one can, okay?! It’s done! Just go away and leave me be!” He didn’t want to yell at Joker because the man was a good friend… really, he was, but still.
He didn’t need this. Kalore didn’t want to have all of these guys surrounding him with pity and words of comfort when he didn’t need comfort right now. He needed someone to fix this. At the moment, though, he was pretty sure that it wasn’t fixable. “Just… just go, Joker.” He shook his head as he took a step back, his eyes reddish from the tears before and his skin paler than it should have been. The elf was a mess but… he wasn’t going to do anything to help himself. Well… he could do something… he could easily do something. That one something, though, would be bad… really, really, really bad.
