If Gion could have laughed out loud, he would have.
And you never learned from it? he asked, his tone amused. Remind me when I get a notebook to pay attention to other things as well.
He chuckled silently again.

Normally I'm perfectly capable of walking, note taking and not running into anything, and I wasn't reading anything went I fell through the hidden wall... it was just I didn't know it was there at the time.
It was an interesting story that one truth be told.
Ah well... I'm sure you'll pay more attention than I have.

Hopefully, Gion agreed, still laughing.
He pulled some food from his pack and started eating. The day was wearing on ... slowly.

Those were fun days though, there was always something new to see, and it was amusing to watch Long and Yume interact.. more so with Long, because he was just so easy going and not very steathly... well he was, but if he got caught then he would end up being as loud as humanly possible.
Daemon told Gion thoughtfully thinking back on those days.

Gion smiled. I bet you miss those days, don't you? he asked. He paused. I wish I could help you get back to your old life ... if it's still there for you after all the time that's passed.
But as for getting Daemon his own body back ... he would have to do all he could to make himself stronger in order to help his friend do that.

Even if it isn't my old life, I can at least hope that the people left behind will have continued to created some very good lives for me to see when I get back.
Daemon was sure about it, even though he had no clue how he was going to get back. After all he was a seer not a mage.

Well, if I can't get you back to Gaia, Gion thought resolutely, I'm at least going to do what I can to get you out of this sword.
He paused.
Besides strength, like physical strength and energy, what else is needed? he asked curiously.
Though of course once Daemon was out of the sword he would be mortal once again ...

I think...
Daemon replied slowly.
That depends on the will of the user.
Granted, Daemon didn't know how much Gion was a user of the sword, for a sword use to be owned by spiritualist, this was very much winging the whole situtation.

Gion nodded and set his jaw determinedly.
I WILL find a way to get you out of there, he promised - not for the first time, and not for the last.
He heard something up ahead, and his ear twitched anxiously.
Daemon? I hear something ... can you sense anything?

Daemon paused in his thinking to clear his thoughts for Gion's question. He felt.. something, but it was hard to tell if it was serious or not, that and being blind didn't help much.
You said you can see auras now? Try taking a look around for one, generall plant and most animal life you won't see out of default unless they have some magical ability. Even if that abiltiy is pretty faint, if we are out in the middle of nowhere it should be obvious if it's another person. I can't promise the same for wildlife though.
Which was a good thing or his vision would have been very messed when he was a person.

Gion blinked and looked around.
It's pretty thick forest, he told Daemon slowly. Difficult to see far at all ...
He cleared his ears and strained to listen. It was odd ... the forest was silent. Dead silent.
There's something ... it's way too quiet, he told Daemon. I think ... I think I see something red ... a red aura, way off ... I can't be sure, though, it's too far off, there's too many trees in the way.

Red... was rarely a good sign, even though Daemon also knew it could simply be the kind of alignment of one's power... but since apparately only elves used magic.. .that really cut out power alignmetn. Aura alignment? Not very likely he thought to himself.
Please tell me it isn't coming near us.

It just might be, Gion thought sourly. Sure hope you're up to helping me in a fight ... because if it IS men coming this way, it's going to be a doozy ...
Just in case, he drew the sword and held it in front of him defensively, holding his other hand above the throwing knives at his waist.

Now that's not good... Daemon would normally suggest they were just men passing their way if it was the case, but with auras like that, the likelyhood wasn't going to be high.

Better safe than sorry, Gion replied evenly. And the way things have been going - it's more likely to be danger than otherwise.
The red glow was getting closer, brighter, more intense, more visible. Gion's ear twitched as he listened for movements apart from those directly in front of him, and the pounding of his own heart.
