Mai-lin twitched when Anekio said that. She thinks I don't know that! I've lived here my whole life and I know everything about the guards. Including when they are both faced away from one of the gates. She watched as Himi padded over and whined, nudging her trainer with her head. Mai-lin looked down and blinked as the dog barked at her. SHe frowned but sighed as Himi kept it up. "Fine! I won't do anything!" The girl huffed and crossed her arms.

Anekio quirked an eyebrow at the two. "Hey, I wanted to hear that!" She glanced at yuhi from the corner of her eye. "You know you shouldn't treat him like that. He's quite the prankster, or so I've heard."
She then looked over at Mai-Lin with a smidge of curiousity. "Hm? What do you mean by that?"

Mai-lin glared up at Anekio. "I'll stay here and I won'ttry to go with you. So you don't have to do anything."

Anekio shrugged. Jeez, this little girl needs an attitude adjustment. All I'm doing is looking out for her safety and my a**. No need to get yelled at by the Hokage, again. "It's just for your well-being. I don't need a Genin dead."

"Mai-lin..." Kei said and tugged on her arm. "We can train while they're gone, then you'll have more things to show Sensei when she gets back."
Aww, otouto has a weakness for women, how cute! Yuhi thought and sent a smile to Anekio and a small nod at his brother. "It seems you two already got the teamwork part down..."

"Yeah, good idea. I better get to sleep or I won't have any energy for tomorrow. Kei, let's go. You know father doesn't like you out this late anyway."
"Hey, I can take care of myself! Anyway, Mai-lin and I were training earlier before going to the hospital. We came here when we found that Ran had left to make sure she was okay."

Anekio laughed at the two. She kind of wished she had more than her one sibling that lost all touch with her, but she'd get to remember the good ol' days she spent with her little sister. "Well if you two are gonna stand here and fight I think I can manage to find my way home. I'm not a complete idiot, you know."

Yuhi had grabbed his brother and was going to give him a knuckle sandwich but let him go. "Fine, you do what you want." he said to his brother then turned to Anekio. "Let's get out of here. I know you don't need someone to walk you home but, if you don't mind the company..."
Kei moved away from his brother and fixed his hair that was wild no matter how hard he tried to tame it. "Father doesn't care anymore. It's you he doesn't like staying out late, especially if you're with a girl...or girls."

Mai-lin was still frowning but she had stopped glaring at Anekio. She looked up at Kei as he tried to fix his hair. She stood up and smoothed his hair slightly. "You need to get something to keep it flat." She commented. She was trying her best to ignore her Sensei's comment about kissing. She knew later on -when no one else was there- it would affect her but she would wait.

"Sorry I couldn't help...." Ran offered to the seemingly-retreating adults. She smiled slightly at Mai-Lin and Kai... the other girl's efforts ont he boy's hair werent working, but it was the thought that made her smile. Standing up, she stretched a bit.
"I'm going to go get some fresh air..." She murmered, not upset in any way, just wanting to spend a little time outside. Opening, and then closing the balcony door behind her, she shifted and leaned on the railing, looking at the buildings around the apartment complex. Despite the heat, she was sortof coming to like Konohagakure... save for, nothing was quite like a sunset right after it snowed, in Kirigakure...

"Eh, it would be a waste of time." Kei said as he gave up on his hair. "I don't really care too much about it anyway. So, when do you want to meet tomorrow to train?"
"Good night, Mai-lin. Don't let my brother bother you too much, okay?" Yuhi said and gave the girl a wink before heading out. "'Night, Ran. Try to be careful with yourself until your injuries are fully healed." he said to the pale girl as he went by.

Mai-lin frowned slightly, busy working on Kei's hair. "Bye, Yuhi-san. Bye Sensei." She said. "Hey, stay still, Pei-kun! You're worse then Himi." She lightly hit him. A few more tries later she gave up and flopped back onto the floor. "Ugh! Your hair is mean." She said, rubbing her nose. "I don't care. Whenever is fine with me."

The Inuzuka grinned. "You'll have to wait and see. It depends on how late you stay. The later you stay the later I stay up and the later I sleep in. I won't go to sleep 'til you're gone." She said, yawning slightly. She could feel her back on the bed and deciced she was going to take the bed this time and Ran could sleep on the couch. But Ran is hurt...she gets the bed again....
