I let a soft chuckle escape me.

"Well i think that you should come to know taht each and every hunter has his own abilities and experience, but enough of that, i finally found a hunter, feel like a hunt tonight?"

I reached under my coat and ran my finger down the length of one of my stakes thinking of how long i gad used one.

Shoryn walking by gazes up upon the sign for Hunters and decides to go in and have a drink, he was feeling thirsty from his long walk anyway. As he walks through the door he looks around to see plenty of hunters with a huge variety of weaponry and armor. As he walked in plenty of hunters glanced over at him knowing he was new. So as usual he moved quickly to the bar making sure he doesn't bother anyone on the way. Shoryn sits down at the bar. "Bartender can I get a Pepsi please." Shoryn asked softly.

Scott turned to the hunter with the metallic ears. He took a second to size the man up before speaking. "Probably not," He began, "but I'll bet you'd have a surprise waiting for me." He put out his hand in a greeting. "Name's Scott."

I returned my hand and gripped his firmly.

"Well, i don't know about you but the night is young, and i'm getting bored sitting around taking shots and nto giving them."

I grinned and rolled my shoulder feeling the weight on my shoulders, my family was somewhere and i needed to find them.

Scott cracked his neck. Satisfied with the loud pop, he turned his attention to the other newcomer. "Nothin, I've just been hunting round the clock lately." He spun back to the metal eared one. "I guess, I don't normally work with a partner, not since..." He trailed off.

"My friend, an idiot is a hunter who goes out without backup, if you die out there, or worse then we'll have to assume that you're a vamp, putting on undue stress on the group as a whole, if you go out in a team then you have support, the the amount you can kill as a group goes up exponentially as you add people because everyone can support eachother as a group, and if you get bogged down, you can take shifts holding the beasts back, while the cavalry gets together to pull you out of your mess," i looked at the shock on his face as he realized i'd heard the gist of his thuoghts, "I can hear the ether," i said rubbing some of the ink on my kneck, "Iwhich includes the combined surface thoughts and emotions of all humans, unfortuneately the demons feed off those, and i can see when a demon gets strong because of intense emotions, it's kind of disgusting."

I turned to the guy witht he sword, "since? well that sounds like somthing every hunter would say, but the past is past, and you can't gauge us all by the way others were killed in your presence. Heck, my tutor died buying me time. i see that as him placing himself as a martyr, and respect him deeply for it. So then, either of you feel up to a small skull collecting contest? It's always fun to find an infested building and see how many you can take down before the sun comes up on this god-forsaken city. If not can either of you point me to the boss' office i'd like to be known so i don't look like sonme psychopathic murderer if the cops find me in the middle of a raid."

Scott shook himself out of his musings and regarded the two. "It's not that I don't want one, it's just that I'm a difficult person to work with." He cracked his knuckles. "But if you think you can keep up... The vamps that will be out right now are going to be stronger than your regular coffin fodder. They are Day walkers, and from what I've gathered, only the very powerful ones will be among them."
